I feel like Licis got away with a more lenient judging compared to the others. The fact that Licis's rep was considered good and Trey's wasn't didn't feel fair at all. And Licis already got away with a really iffy lift without proper lockout during the circus dumbell press.
Probably the greatest Yoke runner on earth right now. He makes that 1,000 lbs look like he has an empty barbell on his shoulders. I think he got up to about 6 mph?
I do, and I stand by what I said. 1000 pound yolk carry, 360 log x3 in 32 seconds? Only 6/10 managed to finish. You don't lift heavy weights a lot, do you lol
For anyone that wondering, its the sub par commentator that made us think the first rep counted. Listen to the other guy he actually following the action
Love being able to see everything. Wish it was possible with WSM as well. Sucks when the TV people decide to just skip the deadlift or yoke. Give you a 10 second summary instead...
I usually like max events and find timed moving events more boring but performances like Kieliskowski and Hooper make these a lot more interesting for me.
Hooper running down the track with effectively a little more than the weight of two sport bikes on his back. Canadians rule the Super Yokes & OHP / reps.
Am I the only one that thinks the yoke was unfair? The height for some contestants was hardly even off the ground like with Mitchell, but with Rob it was a good foot off the ground which is a big advantage in how much teetering it can do
It’s very ‘American’ . CrossFit is ‘huge’ over there I don’t think many people follow strongman. Licis is an injury waiting to happen. Exactly the same as the polish terminator I can’t spell. Both slightly small framed under the capri sun
@Андрій Ковальчук Thor is famous largely because of Game of Thrones. Oleksii Martins and Tom have all won WSM and none are that famous outside of strongman. I'd also argue that Strongman and Crossfit are equally undefinable as specific sports since neither have the same events comp to comp
Hes bound to be smug rn. Hes an inexperienced rookie and he keeps getting podiums. Wait till he encounters more diversity, he will learn and come back more well rounded.
If you’re not an American, you’re not allowed to be smug. Problem is, most Americans are smug without the performance. Hooper performed well, I’m sorry that bothered you

Good video.

Hooper was unbelievable. Great performance. 💪
I thought the video was on 1.5 speed

Novi‘s victory over Trey was 1,5 points. This decision cost him 1 point.
With thousands of dollars on the line, judging should be way more consistent.
@@gotzvonunentberlichingen1452 he would have beaten Bobby and Novikov, that's 2 points
@@unnamedsoldier4864, so yeah, Magnuss screwed Trey out of a win and a couple thousand dollars with inconsistent reffing.
This was a load of crap. All of Trey’s reps were on point. Every last one of them.
@@gotzvonunentberlichingen1452 More like almost $60k, first place was $114k and second was $57k
holllyyyy hooper's performance was incredible. Especially just doing the log for reps with no break in between.
Bro even for this event, why are they so lax with Martin's lifts but so strict for mitchell??
His 1st lift was very quick, looked like he didn't wait for down signal, but that's just from this angle
Mad for Trey, Martins was good what are you talking about 😂
Nah, they are equitable.
big thank you to Rogue for the phenomenal coverage and organization 🙏 it is a joy to watch..
It seems thet Hoopers former Marathon running does him a big favor in this Yoke events :D
Absolutely but unfortunately in WSM if he were to win some people will find ways to discredit his win
460 kg on your back and you sprint.Hooper is crazy
Big Loz is such a good commentator, I can’t think of anyone more fit for the job
agreed
Glad the 2 Canadians won!!
"Soft lockout" so in other words, didn't lock it out 😂
Hooper went so fast it looked like he had an invisible rocket up his rear. Just insanely impressive.
Probably the greatest Yoke runner on earth right now. He makes that 1,000 lbs look like he has an empty barbell on his shoulders. I think he got up to about 6 mph?
absolute monster showing from hooper
Trey got robbed on that last rep. As for Cooper, this might be the most dominant victory I've ever seen in a Strongman event.
You don't watch strongman alot do you lol

I hope that Shaw stays as a "hype" man for a very long time, especially with Thompson having a similar electrification of the crowd.

Hooper is just a freaking anomaly jeez
I usually like max events and find timed moving events more boring but performances like Kieliskowski and Hooper make these a lot more interesting for me.
Wow. What an event.
trey mitchell definitely should've gotten credit for that third rep and taken third
How long is the run in Yoke Carry?
Rumour has it Usain Bolt’s record has gone.
Sneezed for a moment and lost Hoopers attemot, the man Flew!
Brave bon courage 💪
roooooooob keeeaaaarnyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man Trey got robbed, he put it down before the down signal, but he locked out fully no question. Even Loz said it was an easy lift
He had to wait. Can't just press it up and come back down in the same 1/10th of a second. Have to pause and wait for down signal.....
Trey got robbed on that missed rep; judging left much to be desired for both this event and the cyr dumbell
Trey skipped the down signal on his first rep. He wasn't screwed over but I agree that Martins got unfair lifts
Cost him total victory
I suspect Trey didn't hold his rep until the down signal went, if it was Big Z reffing he would told to hold it for longer
Canadians didnt play around in this event

Vamos gigantes
I think someone forgot to turn gravity on with Hoopers log
Pavlo is so powerful, but unfortunately his technique is really poor, I really hope that he doesn't go back to powerlifting because he has potential
Everyone Tray mitchell's reps What's far better than martin's leasie's second Rep
Mitch Hooper just made a fool out of all the other contenders
Am I the only one that thinks the yoke was unfair? The height for some contestants was hardly even off the ground like with Mitchell, but with Rob it was a good foot off the ground which is a big advantage in how much teetering it can do
The crossbar height of the yoke is adjustable...........
They adjust the crossbar height to the level that they determined before the event. They have numbers. Adjustable on roughly 2" increments.
Trey second reps was good; it should have counted.
His first rep didn't. You can see he didn't pause at the top. Just pushed it up and it came down immediately before the down signal. Proper call.
@@josephsummers2427 Hmm, I thought was the second rep, but you right, the first one was too fast.
take a shot every time he says big huge muscles
