I have one. Conned my Dad into buying it in 1977 . Labour Day weekend in Grand Bend Ontario Canada. Sweet red! Rich Corinthian leather !! Dad had a 1970 Dodge Cornet 500 Convertible at the time and I knew he couldn't drive two summer cars at once. I now have the same problem. Have the convertible and the Cordoba and all the amazing memories that come with them.
The most stylish and beautiful car Chrysler ever made. Loved them back in the day. I still remember seeing one brand new, a light minty green colour with white interior and white vinyl roof. It was a refreshing sight on a hot summer day.
Lots of people compare this to the Monte Carlo but this car is more luxurious without question but I always loved the exterior styling of MC, but again Grand Prix is king.
My older brother was a DM for Chrysler. I ordered a '75 with sunroof, leather, power windows, and even a tach. Put in a pioneer deck with headphone jacks. It was $5200. Kept it 4 years, sold it, and put the money down to buy a house. For some reason I can remember the the VIN#. I'm 70 now and can't remember what I had for dinner last night 😜
I had a '75 Charger (same as Cordoba with different styling) and 2 76 Cordoba's, awesome cars. If you're in the market check the trunk for rust where the leaf springs mount, they like to rust through.
Mom's 76 Cordoba popped the right rear spring shackle mount through the trunk floor in the late 80's. The local garage actually patched it back together good, and the repair lasted for thr rest of the car's life (5-6 more years). Somehow she got the town to pay for the repair due to our roads being all ripped up for our new sewer service. Obviously rust was the issue, but the must've gotten sick of listening to her haha
Very nice Cordobra ,they all were nice. I envy the next caretaker of it. Pros: round headlights and parking lights, T tops, dual exhaust etc. Only minor con is the wiper arm needs adjusting, don't like the tachometer, and doors and trunk gaps need to be looked at, maybe adjustments needed. A sweet ride non the less!
I had one of these back and I think it was 87..... I lived in Cleveland Ohio then so it had some rust on it.... White / burgundy, bucket seat and console and 400 V8 with the biggest Carter you ever seen ....... It was a rust bucket but it ran like a scalded dog.... I was 20 years old and I think I paid $250 for that car....Thanks for the memory
Love love love those cars. I was lucky 1enough to just get one a 1976 red with white roof and white leather interior. 400 cubic in 4 barrel my dreams car
I always wished that this was the car that lee would have made the convertible out of instead of the k car. This one and it’s sister car sure had the style and the lines.
@@shaunclifton5281 Thanks Shaun I had to say “sister car”. I couldn’t remember the name Magnum. Just for fun you never see a stock Vega or the 4 door Thunderbird at your local car shows either. Those were some interesting times for designers and customers alike.
@@ericb4127 I had one of the K cars . I remember that it did have a lot of head room and seemed to last for a long time. I don’t remember when or why we got rid of it! That was my first experience with what I considered a small car. And I have tried to stay with older Cadillac and Chrysler cars since. I just prefer the style and ride of the larger cars of a few years back.
I was born 72. I thought these 70 cars were ugly as a teen in 80s, but now they are beautiful well crafted vehicles.. the plastic bumper unibody new stuff is cheap looking.
Back in 1976 I saw one of these on the side of the road outside Syracuse NY. It had been in an accident. The complete front clip had been knocked off. Really clean. After that I never wanted to ride in one again.
Looks like the trunk key spring loaded latch cover is missing,..think it had the Chrysler emblem/logo on it. Can't remember. Otherwise that car is gorgeous. It was my first car. Total rust bucket! Burgundy with a rotted our white leather interior. 1980. I was 15 in Ohio. Mowed a neighbors frightening lawn... after I knocked down the 7' high weeds, this car appeared....lol. he gave it to me for mowing his yard...plus $50.00...lol. pretty sure once he realized how horrible his yard looked with this dead Cordoba sitting in it,...you get the picture...lol. think I like yours better! It'll sell👍
I'll trade my wife a harley for that Cordoba, I've had 4 Cordobas, they're nice cars, all it is a '73-'74 Plymouth Roadrunner and Dodge Charger!!! So basically the car is a B-body platform!!! The '78-'79 Dodge Magnum is the same car just made for Dodge!!! Mopar or no car
I didn't like the low oil pressure, a cold engine should have higher oil pressure. The non working tack and the oil pressure = a abused high mile engine.
These cars were turds right out of the dealerships plaged with emissions, ignition, wiring, torsion bar suspension would never hold front end Alignment, personally ran many through a car crusher, they made better fence post than cars

It's been a while since I've seen one of these in person. I hope to see one again someday!
Lots of people compare this to the Monte Carlo but this car is more luxurious without question but I always loved the exterior styling of MC, but again Grand Prix is king.
I had a powder blue GP with a white landau roof. You could stack a lot of college kids in that car.
My friend’s mom had one. It was nice back then, and simply awesome today! If only I had the money.
My first car was a 75 Cordoba. Had a 318 that would not die. Great car.
My 2nd car was a 1975 Cordoba with a 360 V-8.
My first car was a 1975 Plymouth Fury with the 318 (same body/platform)

Sounds like an awesome car!
I tried to get one of these in 1984, when I was in college. Mom said it was too extravagant for a college student.

Had a 77 back in 1980s One of the best riding Chryslers I’ve ever had and ran like a scalded dog 🐕

If you don’t like the door and trunk lid gaps on this Cordoba you should check out my ‘74 Imperial😁

Nice Cordoba with some rare options and minor mods👍👍👍 The torsion bars need to be adjusted, it sits too low in the front. Otherwise a very cool ride.
Ahhh yes had one with Corinthian leather seats I think they’ve since changed the name to pleather but back in 79 Chrysler spared no expense
Ricardo Montalban made it sound so good.
“Fine” Corinthian Leather.
I had a 78 with t-tops triple black beautiful car
I just love the way Ricardo Montalban announced this car on TV. (RIP January 2009)
Ricardo Montalban approves :)
"I like what they've done with my car". One of his quotes. =)
Love love love those cars. I was lucky 1enough to just get one a 1976 red with white roof and white leather interior. 400 cubic in 4 barrel my dreams car
I wanted to buy one in the worst way when i was younger nice 400 but no Corinthian leather lol
No fine Corinthian leather?
I asked asked a Chrysler salesman what Corinthian leather was when I was a kid and he said it was a totally made up word.
There's no such thing as Corinthian leather.
It is made up, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Wow, a very beautiful car from the late seventies....
I always wished that this was the car that lee would have made the convertible out of instead of the k car. This one and it’s sister car sure had the style and the lines.

I love any T top car for the most part. Super kool this one.
Alot of people rag on the malaise era cars, but they did produce some fantastic looking cars here and there
Awesome ol cruiser 👌💯

I had one back in the 80's. It didn't have the T-top. I had to have the carb rebuilt three different times, and it still never ran right.
It was most likely the lean burn system they put for emissions. People would change those out when the car was new.
@@alitheretrokid Thanks a lot. I wish I knew you 35 years ago. Haha!!!
My dad had one growing up as a kid in the 80s i remember it had the high beam button on the floor 😂
Yeah most cars did back then wasn't a big deal...
Pretty car
Does it have "Fine Corinthian Leather?
These cars competed with the likes of Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Cutlass Supreme. Had a 75 but no T-Top. 400 4V, nice road trip vehicle.
Does it have the reech coreenthian leather?
Nice car,,.........👍😎
The emblem on trunk lock is missed.
I own two t top 79 300's.
I love doba's
Sure you do😂
Fine Corinthian leather
i love american cars. but only until 90´s
Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!
É muito da hora que coleção 👍👍👍
Does the turret come with it?
5:30 Is that the factory radio or was it swapped from a 1980s Chrysler product?
Sharp! 😎
I WANT it !
This is the period where chrome was actually chrome, not that plastic/polished aluminum crap. Nice T top car for sure.....
The plastic on the steering column is cracked right below the gear selector ...not a word about it 🤔🙄
Speedometer needle looked broken too
I had a silver/grey '78 Ttop Cordoba in 1983 that I only paid $1200 for from a bank repo
Had one , awesome totally awesome illinois killed it with salt . Mopar.
With fine Corinthian leather

Corinthian leather interior i had a seventy eaght good car
I had one of these back in the day. The Mechanic and I had joint custody.
That is a NICE CHARGER. 400 BARREL. Turn her loose. Road Runner I'm coming up behind ya.
What’s the ticket?
Have to give you credit you have a knack for getting hideous cars in pretty good shape LOL
Hideous? Really? This is a classic luxury vehicle, you need to stick with your PT cruiser.
How much.
Too bad it doesn't have the rich Corinthian leather. 😑
Cuanto vale el Córdoba crarle
Does it have "fine Corinthian leather ?"
It’s a 75 Monte Carlo with fog lights
Why don't you say the price in these videos ?
Great question
What? No Ricardo Montalban? ROFLMAO!
Didn't Herb from WKRP in Cincinnati want one of these?
Yes and I wanted Jennifer
Great looking car except for the tires and tail pipes.
Comes with a bottle of old spice.
What it lacked in power from its restricted 400 cu ins it made up for in poor gas mileage? ;^) I do agree, it is a good looking car.
Damn, missing the truck key logo.... (spring loaded closed once key removed)
We used to make fun of the Cordoba. Does it have Corinthian leather?

Someone at Chrysler in the late 70’s “The Chevy Chevelle is selling great! Let’s make a car that looks just like it”.
What wasthe model that had gold top and interior, car was white!!!
"300" appearance option
I didn't like the low oil pressure, a cold engine should have higher oil pressure. The non working tack and the oil pressure = a abused high mile engine.
No "CORINTHIAN LEATHER" ????
Horsepower?
If you can afford this you could drop a Hi Po crate motor in it
Horsepower? In a 1977 American car? That’s hilarious 😂😂😂😂 By then American automakers were using gerbil power to rate their engines.
about 175-195 hp
Cuanto cuesta el crysler
2k
It’s those interiors though....that cloth on the seats, just awful.
Chrysler: Chevy, can I copy your work?
Chevy: yeah just change it a little so it it's not obvious
Chances are the original owner did cocaine in this car
Imitation Gran Prix.
With no idea whatsoever the price is, i would not even consider entertaining any notion of purchase
