I miss the warm 360 in my 69 Dart, but I sure as hell dont miss the fuel bill - the slant six was a reliable old gem of a motor.
These prices are based on completely stock cars. For instance the 64 galaxy is not going to be the fastback model shown and will probably have the 352 v8. The Olds that is shown is a 30 grand car at least. Just sayin. Not getting that for 10 grand
I had a 63 Ford 4 door V8. I remember rolling into the Waffle House in the winter when it was freezing outside and when I hit the breaks all four doors would open. I’d be the only one to get out 😂 Then I’d have to go around and close all of the doors 🤪

"a short scan of the classifieds demonstrates that there are still plenty of eye-catching American classics available but they are difficult to find." OK
Yeah this is kind of a click bait video. There are some cars from the 60's or early 70's available for under $10,000 but many of the cars shown in the condition shown are WAY beyond that. Attractive and restored two door hardtops with big V8 engines from that era are typically not affordable for people on a budget. The air cooled Corvair shown would be a possibility, and the later cars like the Allante are available in that price range, but if you want a performance vehicle from the 60's you can more or less forget it. Your best bet is to look at four door sedans or compacts like the 6 cylinder Rambler shown. They shouldn't be dismissed, as they are good cars.
They're out of their minds with these prices. You should multiply by at least 2. Some of these shouldn't be on the list at all. Like the Cadillac or the Buick Regatta. There is nothing classic about either one of those GM mistakes.
And the '79 Dodge Magnum, lol. The last great '70's car was probably the '74 T/A Super Duty. I also loved my '70 Buick GS 350 that was fully loaded even with bucket seats which I have yet to see in person on any other GS Skylark including the 455's.

A Corvair and a Rambler, seriously? How about the specs on the Ford 427 shown @ 2:39?
Lots available but hard to find… how does that make sense?
I highly doubt ANY of the cars shown could be had for under 10k. Most were fully restored, and had overseas plates on them.
Any 80's Corvette was a joke and a fat pig .
My car would be the 1964 Ford with the 390 V8
