    Great video !! How about 25 pound bag of dried potatoes which are ground into flakes. Just add water and your ready to eat . You can pretty much live off of potatoes in an emergency.

      I agree. Potatoes are a great survival food! I almost included them in this video. I do have canned potatoes in my storage. I think you can get vitamin C with them as well.

    I think the 1st I've seen ur videos. Appreciate all the info. From my experience, we've eaten meat from freezer after 2 years & it was fine. Canned foods, we've eaten up to 10 yrs later & it was fine. Tomato products in cans, Fruit in cans, neither last must past best by date. And avoid canned things with milk. They also don't last much past best by date. Awesome info. Will try to catch more of ur videos. ❤

    Good info presented very well! Consider wild sources of vitamin C, such as lamb’s quarters, pine/spruce/fir needles, and elderberry. Experiment using these now rather than when you have no other choice.

    Hello tour Channel just came up in my feed and I watched and subscribed! I have a question on the wheatberries how did you decide which one to use? Hard, soft, red, white? I've also heard lots of people say to begin you may wish to use half flour and half ground wheatberries. Do you do this with your bread?

    • @LoneStarPrepping
      @LoneStarPrepping  3 місяці тому +1

      Hard wheat berries have more protein and good for rising bread. Soft is for cookies etc... Hard white is a little easier on digestion than red when starting out.
      I am doing a video soon on the perfect bread loaf for new person or people who want to work into all wheat berries. I have been working on that recipe for about 6 months now.
      I will be using some bread flour in that bread recipe. I just made a loaf today.

      Not sure what you mean. Work for what? Do you mean storing long term? If so, sure. If you vaccum seal, they should last a long time.

    To ensure we meet our Vitamin C requirements we store Tang. Many websites say that one serving of Tang meets 100 percent of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for vitamin C and 10 percent of the RDA for vitamins A, B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B6 and calcium. If stored unopened in a cool, dry location it will last for several years.

    Muy buena información pero siendo realistas en la actualidad si estamos en una situación “apocalíptica” en donde no puedas encontrar comida no creo que ese sea tu mayor problema, vivimos en una época con demasiada tecnología y sobrepoblación en donde primero tendrás que velar por tu seguridad que no te roben o maten, o una simple bomba atómica destruya todo tu país sin importar que tengas un búnker te va destruir, es muy buena idea si si, pero alomejor sería buena hace 50-100 años cuando podría ayudarte a sobrevivir, si en la actualidad llegamos a un evento en donde no puedas encontrar comida, no importa que tengas todo eso almacenado, algo más te va matar….
