There are those that fear a Woman who Speaks TRUTH to power….. but I am not one of those. I see and hear the truth spoken by this very courageous, fearless woman. Thanks, Marianne, you should be presented as a public intellectual. You bring such a great deal of practical knowledge and careful thoughts to the vital issues of the day. There was a time when such individuals as yourself were greatly esteemed by the American public for their insights! You bring vital critical thinking skills to vivid life for people unfamiliar with being reasoned with - rather than pandered to... It's tragic that US election races have been reduced to a 'horse race mentality' or "High School popularity contests." The US is failing its leadership role because of it. We'll be a Banana Republic before you know it...

I can still recall the days when the conventions were where the party chose the candidate. Almost all candidates, with even just one delegate, would stay in the race until the convention. At the convention they would bargain, negotiate and vote to decide the platform and then give their support and pledged delegates to support the candidate who best resonated with the platform in a state by state roll call. For decades now the conventions are just coronations of the candidate ALREADY CHOSEN by the DNC or RNC. That ain't democracy.
Exactly! The Dems are conducting political malpractice by not respecting presidential challengers (as well as their supporters) from their OWN party--much to their detriment. The Dem presidential nominee should be chosen by the electorate, not by a handful of Dem corporate insiders.
Think this post is maybe what you refer. Natural Hygiene was taught by Natives to USA medical people & those teachings remained the law of the land up until the late 1800's when big pharma began to take over making Natural Hygiene unjustly obsolete until early 1900's when Herbert M. Shelton re-founded the orthopaedic practice at his health sanatoriums & by the 1950's he ran for potus, but big oil land grabs & big pharma swindles had a monopoly by then, also it was further corrupted by the liquor industry that had spiraled out of control as a drug of choice ever since the 1930's. So it is way past time to make Natural Hygiene a part of our daily lives again, as the once sober apple cart was upset too many times over the years by oppressive governmental inebriated addicts who have been increasingly abusing a once sound medical practice here in America for far too long. Here is my take on needed improvements for those who have yet them or even considered changing these corrupt current laws yet. Back around the 70's reagan began shutting down state hospitals to save taxes for the rich resulting in an ever increasing spiral of homeless street people & overcrowded prisons. Reagan was inebriated on his bubbly. That points to another mess up that occurred back in the 30's when they made alcohol their drug of choice as legal recreation & criminalized other intoxicants. Past time for a resolution to both these gross errors. 1- make all drugs & alcohol legal medically with supervision. 2-drug & alcohol test all law enforcement, politicians, educators & gun owners at their own expense, never as illegal recreation in use currently. Until those insane obsolete laws, rules & regulations are changed with appropriate resolutions the errors of the past will continue to escalate.
She is a Far better Speaker than ANY Other CANDIDATE!

Marianne, regarding your first five minutes or so, democracy not delivering on its promises and the fascist infestation, British Stephen Fry, who you are probably familiar with, got a little heated in an interview and had this to say on the subject:

Indeed, no one asked. This is what real democracy looks like. It used to be acceptable for Democratic presidential challengers to stay in the race until the convention, in order to help shape the party's platform. If the DNC/corporate Dems would show more respect to challengers AND supporters from their own party, we wouldn't be having nail-biter elections every four years.
