I admire your plans and all you get accomplished! Your husband’s jacket is fantastic! I used to sew items for my late husband… in the early 90’s I made my husband and our son matching rugby shirts ( they were very popular and oh so cute!🥰). I’ve sewn for others and have realized certain folks don’t appreciate the time and effort that goes into sewing, sew….i’m particular who I’ll make things for. Looking forward to seeing all your plans come to fruition and have a great time at the show, which I could fly across the pond to participate.
Your husband and sons ruby shirts sound fantastic! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about sewing for others ☺️. The show was amazing, I might record later what I brought x
Ah hilarious, when you showed the slouchy gilet pattern I thought to myself 'I remember loving that when it came out, I must get hold of one'...then you mentioned me - you know me too well!! 🤣 What a shame it's been a tricky sew but it looks fab, well done for making it work! I also love the jacket you made for your husband - I have a similar fabric which I plan to make the Heather Blazer from. PS you can never have too many LB Pullovers - and that's a fact!!!! 🤣
Lol the instructions were crazy! I'm cross with myself for not having enough fabric, but it was fun to make! Definitely your style for sure, can't wait to see you next week
I've got two of those Threadcount patterns! I really fancy the little cardigan on the first one you showed. We lost a beloved dog, very suddenly, just a week ago. We are in bits so I understand completely how you and your family are feeling, Cara.
Oh I wish I had known you were going to make the retro outfit, I have a piece of tweed wool I intended to cut up for rug hooking. It would have been perfect for your outfit! I hope your bike has a chain guard so you don't get those trousers caught in the chain! You're going to look fab!! Great job on both the jacket and the gillet!! Your hubby looks great in it!
The jacket you made for your husband looks fantastic! I think your tweed run outfit will be amazing. I’m finishing up a dress I made in a border print and love it. Enjoy your weekend and happy sewing, Cara!
The cycling event sounds lovely n the tweed outfit fantastic but be prepared to have to cinch in those wide legs while riding... I know there was a item they uses to use but have some ribbon or twine as emergency plan... enjoy n be safe...🚴
We met the lovely Nicola on the lady mcelroy stand today, were your ears burning? All good stuff 😊. Cara, my sister lost her dog 18 months ago and still gets upset, it's not easy so don't apologise for your emotions, they are a big part of our lives. Another massive hug xx
I just happen to be over from Holland next weekend and hadn’t realized it was the Stitch Festival as it’s not so much on my radar. I’m going to go but I can only go on Sunday really. Plus I’m not sure I’m up to massive crowds, as it would be on Saturday, at the moment. It means I doubt I’ll get to meet any of the lovely vloggers I follow. 😢 Maybe another year. I really like your husband’s jacket and I agree a man can look good wearing one with jeans and a t shirt.
Hi Maggie the Sunday at the show will be lovely! You're right the Saturday will be manic, but great fun. I'm super jealous of you being in Holland I'd love to be there x
hope to see you on the Saturday Cara. Looking forward to seeing the new Masion fauve patterns and makes. I got 3 for Xmas and haven't opened them yet... I'm working on the Tilda for SewFrugal24.

❤ that was fun. Feeling quite lazy as I’m laying here after my afternoon nap 😂. That tweed suit is going to be fabulous with your bike.
Thank you so much
