- I had to take my BMW 650i to the BMW main dealer Barons for a recall - and I could not believe what I saw. It was a 1993 BMW 850csi in their showroom! Not only was it a surprise to see any 1990's BMW in their showroom but this was the absolute pinnacle of the model being a very unusual Individual model.
In this video I investigate its story, who owned it, how many miles it had on the clock and who the original owner was. - Авто та транспорт
Not going to lie: part of me was hoping for the video to end with the car in your driveway! Nice find, nonetheless.
She is a hard worker!! Great job. Don't think it was over board. More!
Spotted it in the detailing video as well. Lovely car and should be driven. They drive fantastic. Color combination is a personal preference.
I also hoped that you'd end the video by saying you bought it 😁
Great video 👍
Featured in Total BMW a couple of months ago, another coincidence ! Wonderful car interesting video, thanks.
Wonderful stuff Timm 6° of separation.
What a fantastic story. An amazing looking looking car. Wish I had that kind of money they might be looking for it. I honestly thought you were going to finish of saying you had bought it!! That would have been a good talking point for a while 😀👍👍👍
The E31 is a stunning car.
The brake line being twisted has happened to me twice, once when I did it on my ST24 some years ago and once when my friend had work done at a garage, so it is literally an error that can happen to professionals and amateurs alike.
great story, thanks for sharing it!
Very interesting although the interior I feel sure would not be to everyone's taste, plus did you notice the front bumper/ nose in front of the bonnet is not a very go colour match ?
For me the E31still looks better in mora metallic, but this is a stunning example! I've never seen an interior like that, they've covered absolutely everything in leather.
Always fancied a E31, but went down the JZA/MA-70 Supra route until I got the current E63 650i
yeah it's just the centre bit for the steering wheel. must've taken a while to find another light coloured one
Lovely E31, beautiful colour scheme and immaculate condition, by the looks of it.
Off topic-ish; you mentioned a recall of your 650i cab. As I have a 2008 model I might be at risk of fire too. Could you tell me what to look for please? What area to check.
Much obliged Timm.
So, how much are they calling for it?
Put the blooming radio back in !!.. looks like the steering wheel airbag cover was painted odd
The older 80-90s bimmer prices are going up. I used to get 3, 5, 7 series and Z3 cars for less than $3k. Now people want twice that for shit boxes that need a lot of repairs.
Hi Timm, I just watched your video on e38 keys and wondered if you know whether it’s possible to replace my original style key with the later diamond style key?
Shame it has a non factory spoiler and radio fitted, otherwise it looks like a nice car.
The spoiler is factory - I have the same on my e31, from factory

Timm, fff topic-ish; you mentioned a recall of your 650i cab. As I have a 2008 model I might be at risk of fire too. Could you tell me what to look for please? What area to check.
Much obliged.
I can tell you the last safety recall I had for my 650i was the battery cable connection. Risk Of Fire. It needs checking and reworking if necessary but if you look on the government website for taxing your car, you should be able to see if your car has any recalls marked up against it by typing in your registration . Hope this helps.
@@bobbyedal2737 Thanks, I replaced my battery a couple of years ago, original 2008 battery. Connections etc looked pristine. I'll have a better look to make sure. Timm sounded like chafing was the issue, but not sure from which cable or where exactly.
@@KimCJorgensen like I said. Check the government website. They will tell you what recalls you're car has. If there is none, then they have already been done or your year of car is not affected by the issue
@@bobbyedal2737 Found it, "it affects the insulated bulkhead connector of the positive battery cable in the vehicle's trunk floor". But this involves Ireland only, and I'm in Denmark. The car was bought in Germany in 2013 but I can't find recalls from either Germany or Denmark. I'll give my BMW service center a call and see if there's anything to worry about. This could result in a fire and complete loss of the car, so not to be taken lightly. I just checked the cables and what I can see is pristine, but I have to remove the cladding in the whole trunk to see properly, it's a job for BMW. Thanks again.
