      Those seats fold down and can even come out pretty easily.

      Check out SuperfastMatt's channel for what an automotive engineer does on his own time. Like drop a Tesla drivetrain into a Jag Mk. V or a motorcycle engine into a Honda S600. THe guy's hilarious, and his solutions can get quite crazy.

    When you joint a roll cage in the middle like that its best to over sleeve it with another larger pipe about 18" long. Just for future reference.

      Actually you use a “slug” that goes inside the tube, drill a few holes to plug weld and leave a small gap to weld up.

    Good to see some math I actually recognize. I’m an Industrial Engineering major in my junior year. We use that math quite often. I found the Pythagorean theorm can be a bit slower than using arcsin or arccos so I normally use those. Appreciated you bringing out the good ol’ Texas Instruments. I got one like that.

      My graphics calculator at school in the 1990s was a casio instead. I gave that to a friend's daughter a few years back because they couldn't afford to buy her one for school and I just use my phone as a calculator these days.

      I got spoiled on the HP calculators and RPN, reverse Polish notation, back in 1972 when my dad, also an engineer, brought a HP 35 home from the office very soon after they were introduced. I haven’t been able to perform more than simple calculations on the algebraic notation variety since. I still have an HP 65 and another HP.

      @@datasailor8132 My Dad was a field service engineer for Burroughs machines so he taught me how to use an adding machine instead. Something that was actually of use because when I got a job with a bank they were still using them in 2001.

    That’s why I left the peoples Republic of New York the western sector back almost 11 years ago. Texas doesn’t snow much once every five or six years, but it’s funny to watch these guys , who have never driven in the snow ,drive in the snow down here.

    most people that do cages will make a 1 foot section of the tube with different angles and they will use this for their measurements

      it's not like the tools could be easely resold at same price and or reused ... It's an investment for the future, espacially if you take quality stuff that'll last 10 + years if maintened

    Loved it. You did an incredible amount of work in a short time. I was a mig welder and welding quality control guy for the old Clark Equipment company. You should wear protective stuff when you weld. I saw new welders set themselves (including me) on fire by not protecting themselves. Also the flash from the mig welder is not good for exposed skin. I hope you win.

      You can get an awesome sun tan in the middle of winter by welding in short sleeves..helmets are cool but a good pair of goggles will have you looking like a racoon. Don't ask me how I know these tidbits

    Just stumbled on this video and I have the older non digital version of that welder and you made a very good purchase. I have used and abused mine laying down hard facing wire for hours on end ignoring any duty cycle and it still runs like the day I got it. I also have the newer version I bought that is digital and have barely used it since the old one just keeps on plugging away. Love what you guys go keep up the good work!!!

    Hey bud love your videos! I’m a welder fabricator here in Canada. My best advice for bending is always measure from the inside of the bend side it is the side that bends the least and most the time not even a noticeable amount.

    Different tire radius will have an effect on speedometer accuracy. It is a relay. A solenoid does both, mechanical work and complete a circuit.

      Those old 280Z's were some fast little cars back in the day. I had one with an inline 6 and a 4-speed and it would just scream, and it was a real hoot on curvy roads.

    I used to work in a pipe fab shop and I got really good at it. Learning the math was a booger but I did it. You did a good job. Love watching your videos I'm glad you are a good teacher and you attempt to teach as well as showing the principles involved in building a safe roll cage.

    Love the Bronco!! Glad to see you bringing it back to life for one last blast. I look forward to seeing how it does.
    I really hope you don't need that roll bar!! Never put a joint/seam in the main hoop. And if you have to, then you should sleeve it and plug weld the sleeve to both halves before welding the seam to add some more strength. And with as rusty as that body is I would have added some plates from the body to the roll bar just to help hold it all together. A roll bar welded to the frame doesn't do much if the body and seats break away from the frame.

    You always want the lead edge of a cut off wheel on the right side, looking from the cord above. And always cutting downward. Super dangerous the way you were using it, just don't you to get hurt! Love the videos❤

    That Eastwood stuff works like a hot damn! Used their Platinum and Gloss black frame rust protection, and it sticks! Glad to see the Plasma cutter so good!
