They asked Doc Severson what is was like to be the greatest trumpet player in the world. He said I don't know. You will have to ask Phil Driscoll. But this was certainly a virtuoso performance. As a former trumpet player in college, I can say this was magnificent.

@@keithharmon7124 there's not a specific source for the Jimi Hendrix Phil keaggy line... because it's a myth... just like the doc severinsen quote about Phil Driscoll. Growing up I heard several people say that about Jimi Hendrix and Phil keaggy. That doesn't mean it's true. Just like people who say they heard doc severinsen say that about Phil driscoll. It doesn't mean it's true. And, of course, it's not true. because Phil Driscoll is nowhere near the trumpet player that Doc is...not even close. And I'm not disparaging Phil Driscoll by saying that. I think he's a fine player. But he's not even close to being in Doc's league
