- Korn is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band's current lineup includes founding members Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipes), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar, backing vocals), and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass), with the addition of Ray Luzier, who replaced the band's original drummer, David Silveria. Korn was originally formed by three of the members of the band L.A.P.D.
It's not Ryan Martini who was honored to play with Korn, it's Korn was honored to play with Ryan Martini
that's what I'm saying
Oleg Daev mmm in my opinion...no
Oleg Daev nahhhh
Oleg Daev I agree Ryan is dominating that simple ass Fieldy bassline, sound way more tight and punchy
No... no..nay sir
He is the bassist from a band called MudVanye. Some people say he's one of the best bassists around. I agree, he is.
he is
Idk why you spelled Mudvayne like that. Those only other acceptable way to do it is MuDvAyNe. :P
How long has he been their bass player?
Definitely in the top 15, maybe even top 10!
@@whitebrenda559 always
I died when I seen that Ryan was playing bass
WWWWWWWOWWWWWWWW MUDVAYNE BASSIST!!!!!!
Aldo Lammel for real lmao I love him but fans are kind of annoying
Divine is the most Mudvayne-sounding Korn song in my opinion
Sounds kinda like internal primates
I don’t think they have any mudvayne sounding songs
Kinda sounds like Silenced
@@elijahtheboxingfan3877has the same rhythm in the main riff of Silenced
@@trfbassman902 sounds more like under my skin imo
0:16 that moment when your bird mom wants you to fly off of the nest for the first time and you don't want because it's too high
That was fycking funny
You know how bad the recession was when Ryan had to take a job he is over-qualified for.
hahahaha
LOL
Ryan is one hell of a bassist.
I've been a Korn fan for Years!!!! Ryan is an absolute beast on the bass.... fieldy Should take some lessons!! J/k!!!
By the 12 year old that filled in for him.
the mudvayne bassist lol
my only criticism is i wish they gave ryan more of a stage prescence. the bass guitar is lacking in the bass power department, especially since Korn is so bass driven anyway
I think their touring guitarist was playing from backstage, too.
My headphones can't take Ryan's immense bass sound! 🤜🎧🤛
I think the sound was not well regulated. I have an intermediate level Phone which I always hear the bass line clearly, even in metal songs, but in this show I could not listen the ryan Martinie bass.
As a bassist, Ryan is way at another level. Fieldy is basic but fits perfectly with the unique Korn sound.
I love fieldy but Ryan is way better but no one can play bass for KoЯn better than fieldy
I wouldn’t call Fieldy basic for a bassist in a metal/hardcore band. Basic compared to a lot of jazz, funk, and disco bassists bunt he outclasses most bassists in metal and hardcore.
@@tshred666 ehhhh. I’m a bass player and yea, but respect you view.
It's funny that Ryan is all over the place on the stage, unlike a normal Korn. Just look over here I'm on the right, now I'm over here, up here, down here, in space.
Well now that I think about it,maybe not during Divine but during the whole show
*Korn Show..
Not saying they aren't energetic but they usually stay on their own side of the stage.
Mudvayne brainwash him, look for Dig. That shit it's crazy
Theres a interview od Ryan that he said when he started to move around like in Mudvayne he was kicked back to his side of the stage by the others, "ive just onlt started and im already messing up!" Similar words he said lol.
What is a shame should have more freedom of movement, its not exactly a boysband doing a choreography. Its get all out music.
@@paulofurtado4925 you know, I can believe that. Theres a live performance on my channel where Munky, Fieldy, or Head (cant remember which one without looking at the moment) rushes another band member back to his side of the stage lol
@@EroticExotic3 must be this one im talking about.
this performance of divine is slight bit slower than the album version but it's still good
I've seen better performances by Jonathan he really didn't give his best for this one he slowed down the song.
One of the best concerts on vid...and I've seen a lot. 👍🔥❤ audio. Vocals....on point
Ryan being in the thumb for this was the only reason I even clicked. Love him
The bass needed to be turned up. Hopefully it sounded better for those that were there.
It did.:)
Great performance!!!
I totally agree
It's hilarious how virtuosic Ryan and Ray are compared to the rest of the band...if Soften the Glare ever ends up changing drummer, it'd kick ass to have Ray there.
I mean Munky and Head literally ushered in a whole new sound of music. That is talent. Do you really think guys who play day in and day out for 30 years cant shred?! I mean when I started playing after a year and I was already playing Metallica solos, Dimebag riffs and solos etc. I wasn’t perfect but I was decent. I’m sure these guys are far better than you think
I always liked Korn and I still respect them, but Ray Luzier and Ryan Martinie are musicians way too above their level.
Javo Roma actually they all are, not just in their own ways if you seen both head and munkys solo stuff and their older stuff before korn you can see how they were actually technical. Korn is just a band that ain’t about technical stuff but for groove and such :) all members are legit amazing though
I still like david more than ray
David perfectly fits for korn. More groovier
Let me stop you right there about Ray. This is where he belongs. I’d quit listening to Korn if they brought #1 back.
While I 100% agree I will say that Korn walked so mudvayne could run. As for ray he’s incredibly talented but Dave will always be number 1 due to feel alone. Ray is too clinical
Ryan is one of the best bassists around these days, but people are not givin him attention... Check his new project called Soften the Glare. Cheers!
He flyyyy. at the begining.
Kornvayne... //m//

Omg divine es de is favoritas de su homonimo
AMOOO A JONATHAN LPM
Muito foda .ótima sonoridade deste áudio. Korn excepcional
Best bassist of the nu metal
I had to see for myself... Came from a reel to see if it was really Ryan. awesome...
Ryan é mestre
Davis always looks like a bird getting ready to fly away with that arm flap dance
The punchy impact of ryan's bass makes it very satisfying
The call of duty advance warfare ad made this video even more doc
Fieldy is stylish and hypefull when Ryan is professional and confident. Who knows exactly which is better on the scene? But Ryan is BEST in the music at all.
I really like How korn looks with ryan
he came in for Fieldy, wich had a baby right before the tour
Bass lines are pretty basic. Ryan can do this with his hands tied. LOL
Fieldy is just punching the bass. 70% of his slap is fake. But it sounds good, and has an amazing imagr
@@csontosmilan9150 70% of Fieldy's slap is fake? Elaborate.
Robert Trujillo wrote the bass for this song
I think they said somewhere that the bass lines are simplistic so that each note has an individual impact or something like that
I like how the crowd consists of moms and dads
Ryan Martini is definitely my number 2 bass player behind David Ellefson. 😊
Pfft....are you dumb?
I wonder why Davis stopped wearing kilts
who is that behind Jonathan on 2:15 ?? XD looks like father of him XD
Bass strap level: NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDD
0:39 fieldy's mom
Ryan Martinie and Les Claypool are the best bassists out there
Fieldy has left chat
who is ryan? he's a legend by the looks of this. I'm not the biggest meta head but I grew up with Korn and noticed fieldy wasn't where he should be.
kjh ku search up Mudvayne he's their bass player
Ur mama
He’s the bassist of Mudvayne. He’s considered one of the best bassists in metal, and I agree. I would recommend their L.D 50 album. He plays amazing bass on that one
Ryan 👊👊👊👊👊
Mudvanyne basses?
Ryan was Humble about filling in for Fieldy. I just wish his fans could follow his example and also be humble about it. Just because Ryan's skill level is on a higher level doesn't mean everybody needs to trash Fieldy. Fieldy is perfect for KoRn. Ryan is perfect for his projects. Yeesh. Why do people gotta be so nasty all the time?
He reminds me of tim commerford on stage
The korn riffs are eazy for ryan :D
this is epic daddy look up my of chads'
Ryan da best
Is that an option
Ryan Martini , real bass player !!
0:18 when you sing in Korn but you also a chicken
Why is Ryan with Korn
Filling bass for Fieldy. Fieldy had a baby at the time this was filmed.
Kirby Walker fieldy was having a child
+dsturbia I never knew Fieldy was pregnant :D
Ryan Martini ladies & gentleman
I think this is their very angst performance
BRBR DENG
what a hell, Ryan in Korn?
Артем Душкин ur mama told him to
Those vocals looked dubbed in. Anyone that has performed live on stage and tried to "Sing" with that much head movement knows, the mic doesn't work like that. I love me Korn though.
Aiden Damien Depends what kind of mic.
Why was Jon confused at the beginning? It's almost like they weren't supposed to play divine there or something

I thought of that too but when the camera pans out he Ryan's clearly on his own side
Because Ryan runs at the speed of light lol
Np
Ryan is the best to do it.
Co wrote be mr Robert Trujillo
Ryan looks like a guest but it's just right on every angle.
Ryan reminds me psycho from borderlands for some reason
Martinie should be Korn’s full time bassist in my opinion..
The Mudvayne bassist, what happen to the other guy?
formed a band called Hellyeah with, if im not wrong, Portnoy
ryan has an instrumental band now. Gregg went with hell yeah with bobzilla for a few years but left after bob did, chad is hellyeah, gregg is audiotopsy with matt now.
but fieldy never left korn. ryan just filled in
NoName Wiki
Yeah I know, but I wonder what happened to Fieldy on this particulary show to call the mudvayne guy
suhijo apparently had a baby lol
So much better than Fieldy man.
Dave that's a pretty low bar though man lmao.
Ryan had to fill in for fieldy because fieldy had a new born to attend to
Ryan
That bass, ryan is on another level with Ray compared to fieldy.
temazo... pero que público más fome...
Ryan is a whole different musician than fieldy. He invented a totally different way to play and how to play. You have no idea what your talking about when you say the BS about Ryan. He is on another level
monster..... ok.
Martinie should be the permanent bassist for Korn.. I said what I said
@Smoke 816 the grooves are so simple in Korn. Mudvayne was way more technical so Ryan could easily do it
@UCLvOFbh0q309J0di26Tm39Q that’s fine. It’s okay to have different opinions. I respect it but to me Martinie is the better bassist
pont erre gondoltam én is xd.
People say Ryan’s one of the best bassist. I disagree. He’s THE best bassist
Korn is over power. With ryan martinie. .
Ryan puts on a good show but I bet he was BORED AS F playing for Fieldy. Maybe he could tune down that low B a couple of octaves till it was flapping in the breeze and get some Korn sounding "slap". Yes, I'm a hater. Having Ryan Martinie fill in for Fieldy is like having Beethoven fill in for Linus.
so this is what korn sounds like with a real bass player, nice. I always wondered.
Why does the guitarist look like the Joker
Every comment is about mudVayne lol
Drummer is a beast but…doesn’t have the Silveria groove
Lackluster compared to the CD version...
He must have been so bored.
man, maybe its just me, but Jon doesn't sound that great during most of this song.
this sounds terrible
