hey Raquel, i use Soffell - a very light local antimosquito cream - non greasy - which i used in Sri Lanka before - its a godsend when u do go to mozzie-fest areas. But the only times i find i need this is when i go for my long walks/runs at a huge greenland park nearby our home. Otherwise actually at home we burn incense cos we like the smell, but we also have tons of geckos (they're cute!) to keep the mozzies away, and other than a couple of weeks back in November last year (turn of the seasons i guess) we actually dont hv a mozzie problem here generally. And they love my scent over other people so im a good indicator i think. Our landlord also fumigates our compound regularly. Maybe that helps. U can pick up Soffell from any minimart or supermarket its everywhere, n for me its well protection enough!
there are several other areas in Indonesia you can eat, you only need to spend $1 for one serving, it really supports a low cost of living, especially to save expenses

If I will rent a scooter, how much are the gas prices in Bali? I saw that you can bay a jerrycan down the road, but you have to negotiate. Is this true? What are your tips?🙌🏼😁
hi! gas stations are everywhere here i have no idea why you might think a jerrycan is necessary! petrol is still really reasonable in our opinion here despite the recent war and increased prices we now pay IDR 40,000 for about 6 litres of Pertalite and we do that maybe 7-8 times in a month given the driving around for surfing that we do every day!
oh shucks ok i would say that its not worth $176 - do NOT pay that! so hunt around for better finds! We stayed at this place Asvara Villas in Ubud too - that place is the absolute bomb for $50 maybe u can try that now. Perhaps prices have been jacked up now cos its the Hari Raya holidays!
Hi this was such a great video im glad I stumbled on it! Do you have a website that provides a list of your commendations? For example you talked about affordable spa's in the area, how can I find them?
oh sorry we don't have a website, but u can literally google like "affordable spa jimbaran" (jimbaran is the area name) and there are some recommendations online for sure!
I totally agree on the bargaining aspect - why bargain for $1-2 less when it means so much to a local? As long as the scam is not outrageous, I tend to be more generous because locals have to make a living to support their families.
thank you! for a long time it was really just putting out the videos for my family & friends to see what V&I are up to wherever we are.... lol. didn't expect it wd ever be like this really, feeling very lucky n grateful.
Thanks Jean & Vitaly, this video is an in-depth guide for 2022 🙏👌👍 Oh, always wondering how & where to go to rent a monthly scooter from? Can you choose scooter specifically based on gender, if they have one? I know many You Tubers mentions this, but never really tells us where to & how to get one - just a thought 🤗 Hope all is well with Vitaly’s family & relatives back home 🙏
Hi Clara, u can of course choose whichever scooter model you like when U pick one for rent. Lots of girls like the Scoopy/Vespa type scooter where they can sit with both legs together up front, although personally I find them a little harder to maneuver. We used Ketut Bagong Rental Car and Bike - they’re located in Canggu area but they will deliver the bike to you wherever u are. Good service, good bike and insurance included. U can find their contact from Google map
@@JeanVoronkova oh, I didn’t know the Scoopy/Vespa scooter is harder to steer- I simply want a smaller scooter for petite lady where my legs could reach down to the ground for balance instead of hanging down, but good to know you can ask & choose what you want. Thanks a bunch Jean, yes, customer service is simply superb with scooter delivery. I’ll keep the location in mind in Canggu but it’s good to know you can look around depending on where you are located - I’m more keen towards quieter area of Ubud, but beaches in Canggu sounds good, so undecided right now. Thanks Jean 🤗👍👌🙏
No worries! Yeah the scoopy type has lots of girls riding cos it is actually smaller n more sized for girls and also u can wear a skirt n keep your legs together up front which is really nice! Don’t worry about the manoeuvrability I guess u just get used to your bike eventually. Sizing right is more important.
Thank you so much for this informative video! Love all your videos! You guys are a very cute couple, so humble! :) I would like to ask if you can recommend a scooter rental company that you have tired and tested in Bali? Thanks so much! And keep those great videos coming. They are much appreciated! :)

Wow! How did you pay that less for the Prawana Watu Kurong Resort ? It's around 176USD right now
oh shucks ok i would say that its not worth $176 - do NOT pay that! so hunt around for better finds!
For example you talked about affordable spa's in the area, how can I find them?
oh sorry we don't have a website, but u can literally google like "affordable spa jimbaran" (jimbaran is the area name) and there are some recommendations online for sure!
and thanks! happy u enjoyed the video!
Sukses slalu sis
Makasih banyak teman and same to you!
new hair color, wow... so refresh
Hehe thank u Christian! 🌻🦋👏🏻
I totally agree on the bargaining aspect - why bargain for $1-2 less when it means so much to a local? As long as the scam is not outrageous, I tend to be more generous because locals have to make a living to support their families.
Yeah I agree. I think of it as paying a minimal foreigner tax. Life is just on a different scale for us vs them anyway.
Going all the way to Bali to eat donuts?
You started YT 2020 and now have more than 60 K subs i think will be Silver 100 K that is Awesome Jean ! nice
thank you! for a long time it was really just putting out the videos for my family & friends to see what V&I are up to wherever we are.... lol. didn't expect it wd ever be like this really, feeling very lucky n grateful.
@@JeanVoronkova Awesome jean but i think your video is normal to get appreciate from us and many followers and view..Keep fire up
Enjoying Bali doesn't have to be expensive..you can still enjoy a cup of homemade cappuccino while hanging out on the beach like this..for free
Exactly! We see all the locals bringing a great picnic to the beach n having an awesome time always
@@JeanVoronkova 😎👍👍☺️
Good information, thx Jean
USD is used in Bali? great!
Super helpful. Great job!
Talking about international driving license, how do you obtain it Jean? Thanks Kevin.
Hey Kevin u have to apply for it in your home country! If ure a fellow Singaporean I got mine somewhere in the aljunied area I remember
I see. Thanks for the information Jean. I am Indonesian but I am now a USA citizen.
Thanks Jean & Vitaly, this video is an in-depth guide for 2022 🙏👌👍 Oh, always wondering how & where to go to rent a monthly scooter from? Can you choose scooter specifically based on gender, if they have one? I know many You Tubers mentions this, but never really tells us where to & how to get one - just a thought 🤗
Hope all is well with Vitaly’s family & relatives back home 🙏
U don’t have to live in Canggu to rent from them- they will bring it to u across most of Bali I think!
Wow that donut looked disgusting 🤮
Great video Jean! Love your laid back personality 🌼
Thank u Raquel! 🤩 this is a laidback place 🤣

Hey Ban! Thanks for the kind words. We use Ketut Bagong rental Car & Bike - u can Google map them they’re located in Canggu but good service n they will send the bike to where ever u r located. Good luck!

How do you not get Bali belly trying out those oh-so-delicious food at those hole in the wall warang?
lol we have been living around in Vietnam/Indonesia for the last many years i think our stomachs are very used to it by now. But honestly also, even the street vendors here have a good level of hygiene really. And mostly we eat only cooked food and where its busy (so fresh turnover for food)
