Please don’t listen to these idiots
This is good travelling advice regardless of where you are going or from where you hail, actually. Thank you for baring your souls for us.
Sharing is caring.
You made no mention of using local drivers for long trips. They will spend the day with you and look after you our driver has become a good friend and travels with us when we tour around Bali.
Hi, can you recommend any trusted drivers?
Good to know this. Thank you 🙏
@@Vinagain7hi, if you want to i can recommend you trusted and good local driver that became our friend when we were travel around Bali last month
I’m visiting Bali next week and would like a local driver recommendation
my advice as an Indonesian: regarding dengue fever mosquitoes come out and suck blood only during the day not at night, so use mosquito cream regularly during the day
Thanks for the advice!
@@LloydandMandy DBD mosquito = white and black color
@@drippingout6154 Thats right, kind of a grey striped critter. Best to regularly check and empty any still water around the house/property, in pot plants and saucers, puddles, any catchment item.
Thank you for the useful information. I’m glad that you’re well.
Thank you, enjoyed learning from the two of you.
Balinese living in Sydney over here and I agree with everything mentioned in this video.. 😊 Miss my hometown so much!

Thank you!
Great video cheers lloyd & Mandy
Thanks so much for watching ☺️🙏
yes indeed if we live on the coast of course the water will make our hair or skin a bit sticky, it could also be due to the sea air, but if we live in the hills or mountains the water is very fresh and nice
Great video 😍😍😍💞💞💞
My introduction to Indonesia was the chaos known as Jakarta, but Kuta remains the only place in Asia where I've been physically accosted by a shop owner.Even pre-pandemic, there was a level of desperation that stunned me. I had some persistent beggars in Cambodia but no-one laid a hand on me.
Just found you guys, thanks!
Very informative
Thanks!
You are incredible!!! best wishes from spain, we will arrive in Bali in September!
@Liba tal Klieb why?
Nice one guys
Great stuff guys
Thank you!
wow it is amazing how well these advertisements have gotten.
Really cool video, you are making very informative videos. If I can make a suggestion, you should add chapters, super easy to do and helpful for people to skip around
sungguh indah pemandangan bali
betul
Get a kamus, English Indonesian dictionary, just a pocket one and there is no worry about flat batteries. Used it in the 1990s and picked up a useful amount of bahasa Indonesia pretty easily.
Thank you. That was super helpful. Too many videos are about the exterior things in life and not day to day.
good one 👍
Thanks
Lloyd & Mandy today i watched your video about Bali it is such a very informative and amazing video keep it up gays and make more and more videos ❤ me from India 🇮🇳
Good on you two.
Please smile mister.
A smile would add more touch to your videos and thanks.
Mandy is just amazing with her smile
I like him without a smile because he’s being himself 😊
@@LloydandMandy that's OK.. Sure... Wouldn't mind seeing him smile but I resoect what you both like
Can't understand what Mandy sees in a dour, tattooed sulk like Lloyd.
A beautiful smile is everything !
Very informative video, we were last week to create content !
Great Video again👍 We visit Bali in Germany 😜
Great video, agree with all of these. Also something most people don't know is that you can open a local bank account on a b211a visa. You just need a recommendation letter from your visa agent, and they connect you with a local bank who can set it all up. Means you can get the best rates and no transactions fees anywhere in Indonesia by transferring from transferwise to indo bank account.
Awesome thanks for the info, and thanks for watching
most won't do it.. BCA Mandiri Permata BRI BNI certainly won't. KITAS is a minimum requirement
@@whitemonkey7932 No it isn't. I'm with Bali solve and they have a contact who does it for you with b211A.
@@kooldude123 in accordance with Indonesian law....
1. Membuka rekening bank BCA sesuai dengan alamat domisili yang tertera pada Kitas, Kims, atau Kitap, jika domsilinya ada di cibubur, maka harus mencari kantor cabang BCA yang ada di sekitar domisili tersebut.
2. Membawa Paspor asli yang masih berlaku
3. Kartu Izin Menetap Sementara atau Kartu Izin Menetap Tetap yang asli dan masih berlaku
4. Membawa uang untuk setoran awal sebesar Rp.500.000
Who did you open an account with? Mainstream banks will even require KITAS holders to present their new KITAS every year. Permata are particularly strict requiring head office approval...Mandiri you may get away with, but you deserve all you get if you open and account with Mandiri.
Do remember just because it can happen doesn't mean it is in accordance with the law - this is Indonesia, an account that has been opened can just as quickly be shut. It has happened more than a few times to WNA account holders - you'll find a couple of cases on the indonesia forums.
Semoga bermanfaat, salam sejahtera bagi kita semua 😁😁
@@whitemonkey7932 Mandiri works fine for me.
Some golden tips for even regular Bali travellers in this one. I can't wait to get back to Bali in a little under 3 days now :)
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, very well made and to the point. I'm doing a 20 day trip next month (first 7 days alone and then the fam joins in). Excited about diving around the reefs, the hikes and of course socialising with some fellow travellers. Any specific recommendations for meeting new people during my solo days on the island? Thanks again!
Hey Ranjeet! We've found the best way to meet people is to stay at guest houses or to join group classes! Lloyd does Jiu jitzu and Mandy does yoga and we've met many people this way. There's every kind of class here you can think of, so hopefully something that suits you!
Safe travels to Bali, and thanks for watching our channel :)
@@LloydandMandy Thanks. I'll have a look to some Yoga classes as I've got a good background of doing yoga since covid started. Would also love to see an updated visa and general travel related video, I heard about some price hikes and also additional countries added to the VoA. Thanks once again!
Awesome video guys - big thumbs up from me! Quick qu: you mention using a travel money card. Just wondering which one you use? The main ones here in Aus don’t seem to accept IDR. Cheers.
Great 👍
I'm pretty sure Neem oil would work against mosquitos, great for keeping your plants and garden bug free🙏🏻🇨🇦💜
Selalu jaga kesehatan, Tuhan memberkati Anda selalu, amin 🙏😊💐
Yesss very good information.., simple and clear, i like one thing..anything can delivered..just stay at home..pick some needs or foods on apps..ehehe..easy and relax like a local people charactter..terimakasih ya...video bagusss
Thanks so much
yup i saw yup i saw gojek everywhere👍 and they are smart cash people use cash. I love still using cash when out. And all these businesses ( in Australia ) missing big tips because of card use👎 great video guys! i don’t know i just feel good paying with cash
untuk informasi yg di bagikan di sangat bagus
Also get off the island on Silent Day, go to Gili for the duration. Everything shuts down, even the internet!
Green hair from chlorine, easy fix ,tomato ketchup, this is true especially if your fair haired, and your hair is long , the longer your hair is ,the more tomato ketchup you'll need to use , example shoulder length best use the whole bottle once your hair is completely covered ,just wrap a towel over your GREEN hair for a couple of hours and hey presto ,wash it off and it gets rid of 90% , if your a bit consous, repeat as nessasary ,just make sure someone doesn't use your hair to dip their chips, but it does really work,,,
They only ''don't have change''....if your a foreigner 🙂
👏👏👏 every day I waiting for your new video okay?
Okay! 🙌🙏
I’m going to Bali next week for the first time. This was super helpful! Thankyou very much
Thank you for this very informative video.
Are there mozzies everywhere in Indonesia and is the water hard throughout Indonesia? I would appreciate your feedback in this regard. Thank you 🙏
Heya! ☺Nice video! I just wanted to give you a heads up that Transferwise has changed name to Wise. It got me a bit confused to begin with so just good to know! 😁
L 950 tq for sharing dear friend..great vidio
Lloyd always looks so Chill and stoned I wanna be like that
Great vlog guys and we are pretty much up to speed with all of those things having lived here for 9 months. Cheers 😘
Thanks so much for watching
Very informative video.. Im planning a trip to bali end of June for about a week.. Can you make a video on bike rental. Thx.
Hi there, Good contents for us !!!! just wanting to know which travel money card are you using? THANKS !!!!!!
Wonderful info. We are now retired and taking our first scouting trip to Bali. If we like Bali, we want to live 6 month out of the year there. .
Thanks for watching! Funny you say that we just made a video about spending 6 months in Bali!
I just came back to London from Kuta and was nice tho I’m not a party guy
Anyway good video :)
Great information. I had never heard of Transferwise. I wonder why they use that instead of Visa?
Everything is true.......two thumbs up
Thank you 🙏
Hey Legends, I love your vids. Hey I have a question about long term rentals. Besides the cost to rent the villa (lets just pretend its AUD$10000 a year), what are the average monthly costs of the other maintenance expenses like Gardener, Pool guy, house keeper etc?
Sounds like bringing your own sink for drinking and shower filters or planning on picking one up when you’re there is the thing to do
Would you recommend a shower filter to wash your hair / body. So less damage will happen?
awesome information, having visited many, many times, I always travel with Betadine lotion, kills all bugs that get into cut skin. Travelan, always for gut issues, Lugol's Iodine is also a good 100% kill of any bacteria, ear plugs, a must. as you said, cash, always, dont change money in doggy spots. Insurance saved me when I had 5 days in hospital, ambulance and all things. Awesome info you give.
Bali Island is always AWESOME for me, actually real indonesian people. I wish I can holiday to Bali again next time.
welcome
Thank you
You forgot to mention one important thing:
"VALID INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE".
If you plan to rent a car, motorbike or scouter. And you don't want to have any trouble with local traffic police. You're welcome. ♥️
Oh yes! Good one 🙌
Do Bali allow limited driving period for foreigners who hold a driving licence in their home country but not an international driving license?
@@myopinionnotyoursok nope, only international driving license
@@cropssides only international driving license for cars. For motors you would need a local driving license (SIM).
Wear and helmet and ignore the police, never used an international licence, if you don't make yourself obvious and wear a lid you don't need to be waste money on one
This is why we receive ex-Bali residents here on Koh Samui weekly. Because Koh Samui is has become a post-pandemic paradise 🥰😎
