I am sure this is the one nearest to the temple, see the 711 shop next to it? Not exactly the shop that made oyster cake famous, and I think the chef is from mainland, her cooking style is different, the famous one uses about 1/4 of oil and do portion by portion, this could be tasty too as you can't go wrong in terms of cripsy when you do deep frying anyway
Does anybody know where in Hongkong this particular spot is? I'm planning to go there in December and I want to pig out on these fried oyster cakes, YUM!!!
The oil is not as bad as it looks. The wok is black, making the oil look dark when in fact it is no darker than light yellow. The huge turnover of the oil makes changing it unnecessary.
Because she wants to give us a demonstration how the cakes are made from first to last I mean the channel guy had requested here to start from the beginning
Truly Hong Kong mentality: Time is money. I have never seen so many oysters cooked at the same time in the same pot or pan.
Oyster cake yum. Hmmmm looks like hong kong is added to our holiday.

Don't dip the green plastic chopsticks into the oil. These plastic will melt in the oil.
Johny Kikko zz
It may not melt in short time but it sure will release toxic material to the oil which will get to the food.
I saw it too, and the eggs also put in with the greens onion basket🤤
Where is this stall located now in HK?
Why don't you show the stew frog 🐸 or fried frog 🐸? When I went to Hong Kong they were also selling it there
Personally, I like Singapore version more. But roasted duck and chicken in HK is heavenly.

The oil is not as bad as it looks. The wok is black, making the oil look dark when in fact it is no darker than light yellow. The huge turnover of the oil makes changing it unnecessary.

First one without green onion ready for the less order. Most people love green onion
maybe that portion not suitable with reservation..
Because she wants to give us a demonstration how the cakes are made from first to last I mean the channel guy had requested here to start from the beginning

It's 100% a custom sauce made by the restaurant, but i guarantee that hoisin sauce is used in the mix
Kowloon East? where?

They put plasticizers in your potato chips. Same thing. But this tastes better by far.
