I have been following your family for years. And you are number 1. I have watched two other families. And no one touches your family, farm life, and the build. Waiting for phase 2. Living quarters.
I'm relieved by the update on Leon; all due to the vet's knowledge, the chemistry of modern pharmaceuticals (antibiotics, probiotics), and your quick recognition and action. Cheers 👍🏻😁
The railing looks good and I am glad Leon is doing better. Ely is so sweet and telling us how many eggs she collected and big brother looking after her, you have such a lovely caring family Erin and Josh. I too have been watching you since you were living in the RV and starting the build of your house and you have come a far way and with a lot of hard work. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
The railing turned out beautiful! I’m so happy and relieved that Leon is getting better. You can tell that he’s not his chipper self, but he made it! Thank God! Beautiful couple and beautiful family! May God bless y’all abundantly this year ❤️🙏🏼
The title of this one genuinely panicked me! These glimpses into your life have such a soothing affect on me I’d be really lost without them. Thank you for letting us share in your journey. The railing looks great. Can’t wait to see the silo in action. So glad Leon is on the mend too. And I’m loving the kids doing a bit of filming too. Thank you again. ❤️
You said it, their channel came up in recommendations 2 and a half years ago, the first time lapse video, I was hooked, watched all the prior episodes and been watching since, I look forward to the new episodes, that title had my head spinning, are they selling, what happened to building more to the house, this can't be it,,had to recompose myself
SO glad to see the railing complete! It looks beautiful! Congrats on getting the footings poured for the silo, too! Erin is getting some tough lessons in patience working with you Josh! Charlie still looks like a little pup but Frankie looks all grown up! So cute seeing Ellie become a junior videographer. She was terrific! Your milk cow is such a pretty girl. Love that Josh plays with the little one. Looked like the milk cow wanted to join in! Glad to hear Leon is feeling better. Hope his progress continues. You are all in my prayers.
Sepp Holzer is my permaculture farm hero. I rate him above Joel Sallatin in areas like growing fruit trees and landscaping methods and non-traditional farm optimization. He builds natural small ponds wherever he goes. Your land needs three ponds and a traditional Austrian earth cellar. And unless y’all hate mushrooms you need a mushroom grove filled with logs inoculated with mushrooms. Speaking from experience, all of these projects make excellent videos.
Its kind of ridiculous how invested I am in the welfare of a sheep halfway around the world. So glad Leon is doing better. And Dexter just stole my heart too. 🤗❤
The railing looks amazing. Ellie was so sweet when she was talking about gathering the eggs 🥰. So happy to see that Leon is doing a lot better. I will continue to pray for him. Stay Happy 😂 Safe and Healthy Everyone 💞
So happy Leo is improving and eating again. The baby calf is so darling for sure letting you know it's bottle time lol. How cute. I love love love the railing it is gorgeous and a lot of love went into the install for sure. Check railing off the work list right? God bless you ALL. Thank you for the laughter for sure and it is sorely needed these days!!!
The production/editing/audio quality is top notch. I have enjoyed your family's journey over the past couple of years. The family dynamic and relationship with Josh are inspirational to so many of us. Keep up the great work.
Leon looks great, I have 20 post holes, uncovered, that are collapsing and full of snow. Winter got us. The -20 temps were too much to set the posts. Ellie speaking online was wonderful to see and hear. Carter sure shows his love for the family and farm, every time he is online.
I probably should have mentioned this sooner: If your ground around the postholes is wet enough (damp), you can pour dry mix into the holes and tamp it around the posts. Mix some cream if you want a real finished surface around the post but what's in the ground will set and be as hard as water-added mix. God job on the railing!
You said it, "But I came to work anyway" and that is why you have the achievements that you have! Good on you Josh and family!!! A pleasant and inspiring bunch!
The concrete footing work is always satisfying when it's completed and you can stand back a survey the finished product. The solidity are permanence is so relaxing. Good work!!!
I love the humor you have with one another, your sweetness toward each other, your children and the animals. There are no other building videos as fun as yours. When you finish…God forbid…you need to build another house. I wait impatiently for each episode. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Your work is done with excellence and I learn a lot.
Josh, loved your comment at 15:06 about wanting to give up on the railing. "Well I showed up to work anyway." That's just integrity!!! Great job your family has done!
Thank God for warmer weather. On the east coast, we've been way below freezing for a while now. Hope the good weather stays for you. Leon will be ramming Josh, like the old times, any day now. Good to hear he's getting better
I know your ultimate goal in life is to become a master railing installer and you are well on your way. Your dedicated work has paid off and the railings look beautiful. Congrats on a job well done.
Erin - I truly enjoy feeling your sincere empathy for all the farm animals. You have a very realistic approach, with a huge dash of optimisim in their well being.
There is really no way to quantify charisma, and I'm not even sure that it's the right word, but I do know you guys have something that captivates viewers. I'm a hunter and fisherman and follow a ton of those types of channels, but I am also a family man and you have become my absolute favorite channel, by far! Keep on killing it, you make alot of people very happy! Your daughter is the epitome of an angel.
I have enjoyed this journey that you both have shared, it has been amazing!... especially in these times we live in today, Thankyou Josh and Erin, and the kids, you are truly beautiful people and as much as its worth I wish you the best in the future and to enjoy your gorgeous home, Much ❤ from 🇦🇺 Reece. We've been watching you all since you cleared the land where the house is. We don't comment much, but we don't ever miss a video. Thank you for letting us follow along. We appreciate you much.
Watching this channel from the very beginning. In pandemics when I use to fight with corona, those videos help me a lot to recover. Having a home with grassland is a dream of every urban people like me. It is so beautiful! happy ending...
Hi guys, just a little tip to ease your backs. When you load the bags into the mixer cut the bag half ways along the width of the bag , then lift it up using your fingers you can lift the two halves up and kinda scissor the bag open ,that way you only have a halve bag to lift up into the mixer and you can easily empty it without using a shovel in the mixer.
You two are BEYOND amazing!!! Your creativity, love for your family and animals, perseverance, and incredible physical strength and endurance never cease to amaze me. Kudos a trillion times over. Erin, would you consider giving a course in videography, as you really know what you are doing. I would love to learn from you. And would the two of you do a course in how you managed to do this debt free too? I am sure we could all learn from you. How do you make money now? You are Ll so fascinating for so many reasons. Again, congratulations on what you have achieved. Nothing short of top dog!
Way to stay the course on the railing, Josh! Looks great. I'm looking forward to watching you guys build the huge addition to the house AND a massive shop to store all your vehicles and tools. Have you considered making a room on top of the addition that has a glass ceiling so you can kick back and watch the sky from indoors? That might be cool. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us. I look forward to each video (every other Wednesday and every Sunday, right Erin? 🙂) and seeing all the wonderful progress you make. Excellent channel.
With the title "This is THE END for us" I went into total shock and mourning until the end of the video I realized it was the end of the railing build. I can breath again and know that there will be another Sunday episode next week. Have you named your two cows yet? Millie would be a good name the girl. Good enough is not good enough for Josh, he is a craftsman who has pride in his work. Have a great week. I missed seeing Chuckie, I hope he is okay.
So happy to hear Leon is on a steady road to getting better♥️. The pasture work is looking really good.. You guys make such a great team. Team work makes the dream work. Happy New Year.
Happy That Leon is doing better. Erin I see that you are still in the concrete business… helping with columns for the silo. I don’t think you folks are going to look at metal railings the same way especially your railings. The railings look good 👍 on video BTW.
I enjoy watching you all build this beautiful house. I always get a good laugh. You both are doing doing great job!!Can I get a hello, that would be awesome. 😃😃
They said hello without saying hello?...🤦 I'm sure they are busy doing stuff tho lol Hello to you tho Lindsey, I hope you are doing okay and things are good in your life. If not, that's okay because Jesus will bear your burdens so try casting them upon Him in sincerity and complete faith and He will take care of ya! God bless you and your family 🙋❤️👍🕺
Hey guys I don’t know how hard it freezes there, but you you get hard freeze make sure the top of your concrete does not bell out/taper outward. If it does chip or cut it off. The frost will swell the ground around the concrete and lift it out. I’ve seen it so many times up here in Indiana!! Just a circle saw with a diamond blade and trim it off after it sets. Freezing breaks granite mountains!! You guys rock!!
I dread the day that this is the end of you guys sharing your life with us! It’s been such a magical journey and I’ve loved and looked forward to every minute of it!
I started watching WWOG in December 2021. I started from the beginning and just caught up today, which is bitter sweet, since now I can't watch numerous of your videos in a day. This is my favorite channel. I love all the animals and all of ya'lls interaction and loving attention you give to them. So glad that Leon is feeling better. Your family is such hard workers. Erin you are a very strong woman to be able to pick up what you do. The house, solar, pasture, animals and family are growing and prospering. Thank you for letting us see into your life. The kids are becoming hard workers just like Josh and Erin. Love the teasing. Looking forward to seeing more.
Well, they can try to replicate, but no one does it quite like WWOG! Love the railings! Things are looking gorgeous. I bet Josh will miss the railings when he has to build the kids' playset! 😂
A tip on bags of concrete, for future projects: You'll spend much less energy plopping the bag on the edge of the mixer's mouth and slicing open its side, than to slice open and dump out the end of the bag (or hack it with a shovel then dump). This is because more comes out the side (larger opening) than the end, so the bag empties and therefore becomes lighter faster. Perhaps it doesn't make a huge difference if you're only mixing up a few bags, but it sure saved my arms and back when spending hours dumping a dozen pallets of concrete each day. 🙂
Your family has come a long way. I tuned into your channel when you were constructing the A frame and you both were up on the roof installing the metal roof. BTW, your kitchen turned out awesome!
I watched from the beginning also! They are just full of hard work, family & just a joy to watch:). Others I watch just don’t have the work ethic & personality like them. Some like to fake it by trying to be funny but these two just are:)
Looking beautifully you guys , job well done ! So happy that Leon is doing much better now , sending speedy recovery prayers up for him . Much loves .. 🙏🏻♥️♥️♥️🙏🏻
I also work on a farm and I'm so jealous of how cute Erin looks in work clothes! Oh, by the way, do you still have the other little black dog? I see Frank alot but miss the little black one.
I live in Quebec city. It's January 18 and right outside my window, across the street, they are building a condo. After spending the morning shoveling the snow away... They poured a whole floor and covered it with tarps. It's -18C (-0.4F) tonight. And we have REALLY strict building codes, because of the temperature shifts, and our multitude of laws, and rules. Pouring in freezing temperatures IS possible. I don't know if it's your cement/concrete grade, or if you need a special mix, but it's certainly doable. We build all year round here.
I managed to stumble onto these clips and have been captivated since day one! Your love, passion, determination, ingenuity, sense of humor, and undaunted hard work is absolutely outstanding! Your home, your family, and the legacy you will leave your children is priceless! Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I loved it!🥰♥️🥰
Adorable Eli is collecting eggs today , she's too cute. Lol 😆😆 I remember her riding on momma's back while momma helped daddy build a house 🏡 Aframe. Amazing family 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
That makes the house almost finished. Just a few small things to do like putting the stone on the walls and build that back extension :) Job well done!
Hi Josh and Erin. I am so excited that your railing is finished. You have done a great job and it looks perfect. Erin, you need to be careful picking up those cement bags. You can cause some serious injuries to yourself. I have mentioned this before. Please use your legs and keep your back straight. I am just worried that you might end up with serious back injuries. You need to look after yourself. Josh won't make it without you. Erin, your videos are great and your editing is superb. I am glad Leon is better. I love the way that you guys bond with the animals. Ellie is getting big now, helping with the farming part. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Love you guys. ❤
Wonderful to see the railing completed. Good to see Leon out and doing better. On a recent video you had him up around the house, so did he find the way himself, or did you take him through the gate? Great progress on getting the silo installed. Another professional job on video, editing, and music selection. Stay safe, warm, and well.
I have been following your family for years. And you are number 1. I have watched two other families. And no one touches your family, farm life, and the build. Waiting for phase 2. Living quarters.
Erin you are amazing with those 80lb bags! I think the dairy cow should be a Sadie. Frankie is always apart of your work. Great family & animals.
So glad you're at the end of railing! It looks great! Really happy Leon is doing well also.
Sono tubes help with frost heave. The smooth surface of the tube do not allow the ground around it grab on to it like the surface of the open hole.
Josh, the railing makes the house look so good. Finished.
Glad Leon is getting better. He's such a sweetie.
The last 10 yards of a touchdown are always the hardest....grind and push!! LEON is back!!!
Loved the segments of Josh playing tag with the calf and Erin with Leon. You both working on the silo project and the everlasting deck rail project.
Glad Leon is doing better. The railing looks good. I am sure the silo will be a big help on the farm. And your fence brings everything together.
I'm relieved by the update on Leon; all due to the vet's knowledge, the chemistry of modern pharmaceuticals (antibiotics, probiotics), and your quick recognition and action. Cheers 👍🏻😁
So glad Leon is continuing to improve!
Yeah that railing wasn't the easiest to install but it turned out great! Nice work as always, Josh!
Little Mountain Life, you nailed it...couldn't have said it any better.👍

Best part of a concrete job is the empty bags and a silent mixer.
I'm sure the time spent cuddling Leon is as important as the antibiotics and probiotics he taking to get him on the road to good health. 🙂
Agree - and I don't think it's just coincidence that he got sick right after they finished the fence. The stress got him probably :)
@@curiouscat3384 That had also crossed my mind.

Happy to see Leon getting better. Great work guys.
Adorable Eli is collecting eggs today , she's too cute. Lol 😆😆 I remember her riding on momma's back while momma helped daddy build a house 🏡 Aframe. Amazing family 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
That makes the house almost finished. Just a few small things to do like putting the stone on the walls and build that back extension :)
Job well done!
Thanks for the update on Leon, Erin...good news!
So glad Leon’s feeling better.
An railings done yeah!
Thanks Chuck
glad Leon is doing so much better. please let us know if Chuck is OK. he has not been in the last 5 or 6 videos. stay safe and warm.
Wonderful to see the railing completed. Good to see Leon out and doing better. On a recent video you had him up around the house, so did he find the way himself, or did you take him through the gate? Great progress on getting the silo installed. Another professional job on video, editing, and music selection. Stay safe, warm, and well.
Thanks for the update on Leon!
Super happy to see Lyon doing better.
