Frankly I’m in awe of you guys. Not only building your off grid palace, but building & running a farm, raising & educating three children and creating a very successful UA-cam channel. You should run us through a typical day-from early morning feedings, farm chores, family meals, kids’ lessons, project of the day. And finally fun, which you make sure to enjoy. I’m sure it would be amazing for most of us.
A photograph of Ellie with the calf laying together like you showed us in your video is front page material for the "Farmers Almanac." It just doesn't get any cuter than that! Such an adorable little girl who looks like her mother, Erin and is going to make her father, Josh, go a little crazy, when she gets to her teenage years.
Sure you've worked this out, but anyway … the butterfly brackets get bolted to the inside (not the outside as seen here ;) of the vertical legs, then the diagonal cross-braces will align so that they have a thru-bolt at the midpoint to form a secured X-brace. Loving the transformation to a small-holding ...
You both have great work ethic and Erin as fast as Josh hurt his back you could get something in your eyes or your hair could get tore off. Please both of you, wear eye protection and tye your hair back. I know it sounds preachy but all it takes is a SECOND to change your life forever!!! Love you guys 😊
Greetings from far north Queensland Australia. I work for a rural supplies company and its great to see all the products you guys are using. Many of these things from boots to silos are pretty much what we sell here too although we live in a hot tropical climate. We run a very friendly customer focussed business and its great talking with all the farmers here about there experiences. We mainly service the banana, sugarcane and cattle industries although we also cover most other things as well. Ive been watching your show since the beginning and its amazing how far you have come. From an outsiders perspective it is truely a mammoth feat you guys have achieved. Well done.
Brings tears to my eyes seeing the love and care shown to your animals. Your videos bring joy into so many homes. Blessings for a happy New Year. Winter has finally hit coastal Connecticut.
It’s so beautiful to be in a place where you can enjoy all the elements coming in. Fog, blue skies, sunrise and set. 💕 So appreciate your care and love of all the animals 🌟My favourite shot was of Ellie standing confidently on the tractor watching on. Till next time - have a great week. 🥰
My heart melted when I saw Ellie taking a nap with the calf, what a wonderful down to earth family you are, loving every minute of your great videos !!!
I just love how kind they are towards animals, and their children are sweet and kind towards animals too! That tells a lot of a character of a person! Their house is gorgeous and this couple was definitely made for each other! I’m amazed at hard this beautiful couple works and works together! You don’t find many married couples who work this hard together and are raising kids and taking care of animals ! Good for them!
Love the way your farm and fencing are coming together. Ellie is going to be a mother hen to your new calf. That shot of Ellie cuddling up with the new calf was so precious. It is always nice to see the kids involved with the animals. That love for animals will be carried with them throughout their lives and with fellow humans as well. You are such an awesome family and are an excellent example for everyone in the world to follow.
I recall fixing milk for out youngsters in the late 40s. We didn't use individual bottles, but would have 10 galvanized buckets, with nipples, hooked to the side of our barn. We'd get all the milk mixed, poured in the buckets and then get out of the way when we opened the gate to let 10 calves at a time in to eat. Fun memories.
Oh how I miss bottle feeding calves !! We like you treated them like pets, gave them names, and loved on ‘um !! The first steer we butchered my 9 year old knew where we’re taking him, so did I for that matter, but I cried like a baby !! She sat in the truck and laughed so hard at me. But what I wouldn’t give to go back to those days. Love you guys ❤️❤️🥰🥰🙏🙏🤗🤗
I love seeing how well your adorable lady loves learning and helping in all things, she already is your helper🥰 so intelligent and most of all, always happy with her very cute smile😊
So precious your daughter with the cow so precious the fencing is beautiful Can’t wait to see what you’re bringing to the farm next congratulations and so much progress
My dream life. This guy is so lucky. He has a beautiful wife with a great work ethic; a supporting partner in whatever he does; and a lovely home they are building "together". All the best to you and your family.
Anxious to see who the "bring her home " is... And Ellie snuggling the calf is the cutest! I'm 43 and still do that😂 And lay in the hay with the little lambs and kids, never too old for that!💗
I sure do miss raising those little calves. They are so fun! I had 4 jerseys, and had to use resorb on all of them, but they all made it, strong and healthy.
Hard to believe this video was 19 minutes it felt like I was only watching it a few minutes before it was over. I really enjoy your channel and I hope God continues to bless you guys.
The fog and thick drizzle reminding me of the scenery of highlands area in UK. It's amazing. Baby cow is cute and going to get all the love he need in this world at your farm.
I need to tell you again, your editing, camera angels are first class production. Thank you for your talented and interesting and heart warming, work...
Those sorting pens will help for years to come. When I was a kid we would buy three day old bull dairy calves, they would almost give them away back then. We used a bucket with a nipple to feed them. Thanks for sharing.
Ellie and the calf cuddling was borderline cuteness overload. What a sweet little human. I can only imagine that the baby animals really get a lot of benefit from having a little human there with them when they're so young and bonding with their new caretakers. They have to be happier than animals who don't get to grow up alongside kids. Poor Leon legit looked devastated there for a little while. He seemed to be stunned as if he were thinking, "All along, I was helping to build my own prison."
Thank you for an interesting year in the Wild Wonderful. Every success to you all in the coming year. Look forward to seeing developments. Best wishes from Scotland.
Another great video, LEON looked pleased to go back into the field, You were so lucky that Ellie was there to help you do the measuring of the food supplement and then to help feed the new calf, You wouldn't have managed without her. lol then to see her cuddled up to the calf was so cute.
Oh my heart, the shot with Ellie and the calf sleeping was absolutely adorable!!!! Keep up the good work, everything is looking absolutely fantastic!! Happy New Year!
You have come so far. It's so beautiful there. The home the lands the animals THE KIDS - What a beautiful existence you've created ✨💫✨🙏💜 What a precious little cow. Ellie does so good. She really enjoys that -
This brought back so many memories of when I was bottling feeding calves, we had about 8 one time that I was bottling feeding. I loved it, they was my babies. I loved the scene when your daughter was curled up with the new calf. That was precious. Thank you for bringing us a long!!!! Love from Ohio.
1:20 I often stand up on the tractor, I think it's just safer a lot of times. That's why the stupid seat sensor that shuts it down when you raise up, is the first thing I disable on a new tractor.
Leon was SO upset!!! You are definitely in the dog house. Those were cold, cold eyes. Glad you had the baby to get the love. He is so presh!!! Love the picture of him coming to Carter and of Ellie curled into him. Amazed at how you work in the rain and truck through the mud like it's nothing. That part does not look enjoyable at all. Way to go!!! Love the cozy scenes at the house. Nice to see there is some down time. All the best with the silo!
The wooden fence has given your place more of a farm look. Looks great. Wet and cold is just miserable conditions unless you're duck or deer hunting....wait, it's still miserable then too!
Ellie has a newfound favourite, the baby cow! Well, not to mention she loves all the animals but let's celebrate the new baby in the barn! That clip where she's sleeping with the calf made me go awwwww 🥺💛
Hello wonderful Angel family I appreciate you family I appreciate what you guys to doing may God bless you for the new year and help you to get all your chores all donehave a wonderful New years and enjoy your beautiful home out in the wilderness have lots of fun and please get you some dear meet
My name is Jota Inui and I live in Japan. As you and your husband help each other, you are giving efforts, dreams, and hopes to people all over the world. I am a physically disabled person who creates high-quality works of art at Yakusugi, a world heritage site, and my driving force is your couple's spirit of challenge.
Great progress on getting the farm infrastructure improved. All this will definitely help in the function and organization of the farm operation. Another great video. So, the clock is ticking on when Leon can find his way to the house. I know you must keep your promise about the playset. Looking forward to seeing the additional stock pens along the tree line and then whatever you have planned for the next structure. Stay safe and well.

What song is that when you're seeing to the calf?
💖
@@wearewatchers9570 it’s called making a living. Go shame elsewhere.
Do a Q and A, how did you learn to farm? Did you grow up on a farm or self taught?

Leon in the naughty corner. 😀 He is a proper sulker when he wants to be but a real character.
You guys are wonderful! My wife and I can’t wait for each new adventure? Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.
What a beautiful baby! Your homestead is coming along nicely. What a awesome house and farm! Congrats guys! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
As cows are social animals it would have been nice to have seen at least another calf so they could keep company especially at night.
A new video, nice, I love your show, very constructive and family oriented, thanks for sharing part of your life with us.

Loved the shot of little Missey sleeping with the calf. Sooo sweet!!
You have a front- loader, just carve out a flat spot. You could even put down a concrete pad to set your silo on. :)
