@@silesiocarvalho , the upgrade was successful. I upgraded a 3750x and the reload took longer than I expected. About a half hour. So waiting until we were closed was a smart move. I was getting nervous at one point thinking “Did I kill the switch?” But no, it came up. I checked the version and the upgrade was a success.
Sir, I would like to ask, if my switch cisco catalyst 9300 is running on a 17.6.6r version, is there an upgrade path tool from cisco or any link that states that there is this sequence of upgrading of the IOS to reach the most latest and stable version?

Another issue is I can connect through console but I could not run all commands for configurations. E g it gives error when I send the command show IP interface brief or If I want to create a Vlan in global configuration mode. I have updated the latest firmware but the issue is still the same do I need to install a new iOS in it or is it something else? I would appreciate for your guidance in this regard
It might be a problem with the IOS/HW. I have switch that with a similar problem. Some commands don't work and it's unstable. You'll probably have to replace the switch.
