- Hello guys,
This video is one of the lessons I create on kbtrainings.com as part of the CCNA 200-301 course (English and French). This course goes from Zero to Engineer and teaches you all the essentials to pass the exam and build a career in networking.
In this lab we are configuring a cisco switch to connect securely using SSH.

KBTrainings is an online training platform created to share my knowledge in the IT. In a world where technologies are radically changing the way we live and future economies, KBTrainings has set itself the goal of popularizing IT concepts and allowing many to start or boost their careers in IT.
The contents range from basic notions and introductions to advanced concepts for engineers. We will cover the following areas: applications, networking and security, web design & development, programming and automation.
In computer networks and security we will focus on Cisco, which is a benchmark in the industry, helping you to get Cisco CCNA and CCNP certificates. These certificates are highly respected in the industry and are a very practical way to prove your knowledge and start or advance your career.
Thank you,

Wow, that is a good video. I really like how you laid out what you were trying to achieve at the very beginning and gave us the commands up front. Thank you for that!
Excellent video and tutorial - I appreciate how you explained each action and what it does. Thank You!
You are a good engineer. I love your presentations and explanations. Keep it up brother.
Thank you brother.
I really enjoy this Lesson Thanks
Glad to know!

Hi from Costa Rica
My pleasure 🙏
How can we access the switch/router via ssh if our router/switch is in india or any other country...
Should we need a console cable for that...
But it's connected...
I need to know the connection wireless via SSH from one place to another...
How to know ip address if there is no one on that location...
Anyone clarify this doubt...😊
Bravo bro, What about in case that you habe a lab with 4 switches, i mean one core and 3 access and the routing is running on the core sw for different vlan s how to access to all the switches ( core and access ) remotely? because in this example you’are using only one switch and we can see the network cable is between the switch and laptop for remotely connection, what about if you have multi switch like i say in my exemple ?
great video man thank you alot.
You're welcome!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure. Thanks.
Best 👍
Thank you so much 😀
very informative!
The best 🤝🏾
This is plainly to encrypt the data that is coming from the SSH client to the Network Device.
But in case we want to encrypt the data from the Router itself to us, dont we need to create a different pair of keys?
What about transport input ssh command?
you are amazing
Thanks brooooooooooo!!!
What about the comand ssh -l username IP. Why we are not using that which i studied in packet tracer
There can be more than one way to accomplish a task. The command is for when you launch ssh from a command line... like Linux shell.
Not a fan of the monthly expense. Would rather just pay 1 time and be done with it.
You not so clear on logging synchronous command
Try it in your lab and it'll be much clearer.
*SSH -L DOMAIN NAME TARGET IP ADDRESS*
L'an dernier à mon examen de CCNA_3 j'ai eu beaucoup du mal pour configurer les tunnels.
Pouvez vous nous faire une vidéo en français.
