lower speed will create a cooler air flow! some folks don't realize these water cooled units are made for low humidity areas.. in "nevada" they are the best...

I couldn't agree more. (Reno). I prefer the "sitting by a waterfall" feeling of a Swamp cooler.
Would 100% do again if my OH would let me.

I wonder how long that plastic unit is going to hold up in the blazing sun.
The metal painted swamp coolers unfortunately turn into a bucket of rust. It's a shame they don't make the unit out of stainless steel.

Just bought one and your video was really helpful. I will need mount ours much the same as you did on the outside wall, but did you also mount at the window sill with the enclosed brackets? It just seems as though once the filter is wet and the reservoir has water, the two enclosed mounting screws and plastic tabs on the outside portion of the unit are not enough. Have you experienced any issues with fatigue at the mounting points yet? Thanks!

Nobody has a video on this anywhere. I got it at home depot and it is the 200 dollar cooler model 6280065. Power comes on, cooler button does not

I know this is an older video, but I'm hoping someone might see this and can help me. For reference, I live in an older home with wood framed windows and sils. The window where my cooler is installed is higher up. What I'm curious about is even with the spacer outside, what's preventing and or how can I prevent the unit from falling backwards, especially when full of water???? The spacer outside helped keep the unit level, but it doesn't or won't prevent it from leaning or falling back. Help

The newer models don't seem to come apart like yours. Mine ripped in half where the black tube is on yours. They've, somehow connected the two sides. Now mine only puts out water on one side. Be careful taking this thing apart. I wish you would have shown the process on yours. No one seems to have that in their video. I could have avoided breaking mine if it existed.

I have the "Bonaire 4500" that is advertised at cooling up to 1600sq ft. They do have a larger unit, the 5900, that says it cools up to 1900sq ft. @@adampettigrew8850 Good question, sorry i don't have an exact answer, my renters that are in the house pay the utilities. I do know that they have told me that the previous house they were in had a traditional swamp cooler and with a house approximately the same size payed more in electricity than they do with this one. This has a much smaller motor that is direct drive to the fan where your traditional coolers have a belt driven fan. Direct drive equals less friction because there are no pulleys. Sorry i don't have and exact answer but just guessing i would have to same yes it is more efficient, and much quieter. Hope this helps, thanks

@@dewles3818 Thank you so much for watching my video. I really like this one, i have grown up with swamp coolers (big box) and in my opinion this one is much quieter and more efficient. Now they are sized for smaller homes where as your bigger more traditional coolers can be sized for bigger homes. I believe the larger unit like mine will as advertised cool a 1900sq ft. area. These are also cosmetically speaking a much cleaner nicer look to your house. And the maintenance on these are way easy, and it is easy to take down for the winter if you live is a cold climate like i do. Thanks again, hope this helps.

I saw this done on another video. First, there are 4 screws that need removing. Then, on the sides, there are little slots and 'ears' that have to be separated by lifting the body up, then out. BUT, as you separate the two parts, you must reach into the left upper corner and pull apart the little black hose that is connected to the fan part. It helps to have a second pair of hands. It's actually quite easy to do.
