Thank you for your video I have had my Bonaire for about 9 years and I have always struggled with that darned black hose never thinking of plugging it in first before I put i The cover back on dah oh well I guess old age is creeping in !!!God Bless!!!🙏🏻
thanks for this video; I tore my unit apart this morning and cleaned everything with the hose... now the pump isn't running. I'm going to take it apart again and blast out the large black tube - that is the only thing that I think could be wrong - the unit is only one year old - it worked fine until two days ago. There was a lot of alkali buildup on the bottom of the pump and throughout the water reservoir... perhaps when I cleaned the bottom of the pump a piece of that alkali got inside the pump/hose. Great video!
@@justinevans6227 I replaced the pump last night; for fun, I'm going to take the old pump apart and investigate - I believe that it is a molded unit but I can saw it open...
I realize this is an older comment… Any time there is a leak from the supply line or around the float, I recommend replacing the float with a new brass unit. Cut back the supply line a bit if needed. If copper use a pipe cutter and replace the bushing mentioned in the previous comment. Good luck!
You do nice work Justin ! I've got a lot of work to get mine in shape. Thanks for sharing !

I would agree that something got stuck in the impeller. Did you get it figured out?

normally get my pads from home depot but they been showing up damaged and had to return them how do these pads hold up ?
Are the directional vents an option? Mine doesn’t have it.
Mine came that way, perhaps you can order adjustable ones.
Our copper water line is leaking from the floater and the outside of the unit. Could it be the water line has a hole we cant see?
Sometimes there's a bad bushing a little tiny brass ring. Also used on ice makers.

A little dialogue and explanations and what to look out for would be nice. Also get a tripod to put your camera on - I"m getting seasick.
I agree! I shot this about 8 years ago on an old gopro/headband, planned to do voice over explanation but couldnt figure it out at the time.
