    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
In this video, Justin and Jess take viewers on an in-depth tour of their small travel trailer, which they’ve customized to support their full-time nomadic lifestyle. This video is perfect for anyone considering the purchase of a small travel trailer or for those who are already on the road and looking to optimize their living space. Justin and Jess share their experiences of transitioning from a traditional home to a 17-foot travel trailer, offering valuable insights and tips for making the most of a compact living space.
    Kitchen and Cooking Setup
Justin and Jess emphasize the importance of cooking their own meals while on the road, especially since they often travel to remote locations where stores and restaurants are scarce. Their small but efficient kitchen features a flip-up faucet sink, a two-burner stove with a glass lid, and a compact air fryer that handles the majority of their cooking needs. They discuss how they manage with limited storage by creatively utilizing every inch of space, from overhead cabinets for cereals and spices to under-counter drawers for dry goods.
    Living and Sleeping Area
The trailer’s living area is a multifunctional space that serves as a bedroom, workspace, and lounge. Justin and Jess explain how they maximize this space by converting their benches into a queen-sized bed at night, and during the day, the area transforms into a cozy spot for work or relaxation. They highlight the importance of dual-purpose furniture and smart storage solutions to keep their tiny home organized and comfortable.
    Bathroom and Shower
In the bathroom, the couple makes the most of the small space with a marine RV toilet and a wet bath setup. They talk about how they manage their water usage with a three-gallon water heater and the convenience of having both indoor and outdoor shower options. Their practical approach to hygiene on the road includes tips for showering efficiently and maintaining comfort without the need for constant hookups to external water sources.
    Off-Road Capabilities and Storage
One of the standout features of their trailer is its off-road capability, which allows Justin and Jess to explore rugged terrains and enjoy dispersed camping. They showcase the beefy tires, high suspension, and the innovative Caravan movers that allow them to steer the trailer with a remote control. This feature gives them the freedom to position their trailer for the best views and privacy, even in tight or challenging spots. Additionally, they discuss the trailer’s ample storage options, both inside and out, ensuring that all their essentials are within easy reach.
    Transition to Full-Time Travel
Justin and Jess share their journey from corporate life to full-time travel, explaining how their blog, Uprooted Traveler, became a catalyst for their new lifestyle. They offer encouragement to others considering a similar transition, emphasizing the importance of giving oneself grace and the rewards of embracing the unknown. Their story is a testament to the fulfilling experiences that come with living on the road, exploring new places, and making lasting memories.
    Conclusion
In this video, viewers will not only get a detailed tour of Justin and Jess's travel trailer but also gain inspiration for living a simpler, more adventurous life on the road. Whether you’re looking to buy your first travel trailer or seeking tips to enhance your current setup, this video provides a wealth of information from a couple who have mastered the art of tiny living. Be sure to follow their journey as they drive from Key West, Florida, to the Arctic Circle, and learn more about their travels on their blog and social media channels.

Love the trailer. Went to the RV place in Abbotsford to check on out. On our list as a potential candidate to buy later. Where did you find that metal drawer thing with the hinged drawers you use for the spice rack??

Us too. We seriously can't imagine having another trailer without it. It makes everything easier from leveling the trailer to hitching up. 👌

Appreciate the vid; I recall when you first got this TT. Similar floor plan as the Tab 400; i was checking out this brand and purchased a Tab 320 as a second TT and our other TT is mid size couples TT by Grand Design. I would have a second portable fridge. And thankfully the rear of of the rig has more space then the Tab 400; oh and no excuse not to have dinner together lol You left the 9 to 5 so you can make it happen in 85 sqft lol.. love the move ability with those motors that connect to the wheels etc..Great Vid 🏁🌅

We're pretty impressed with the space considering the small size.
I feel like we're doing life backwards sometimes 😅. It's certainly unconventional, but we're living our dream.
      Thanks for watching!

Those caravan movers have gotten us out of some sticky situations too! We've been trapped on single lane forest roads and we can just unhook the trailer, drive the car on the other side of it, turn the trailer on a dime and pull away! Saves us from having to back up for a mile 😅

I don't know, I guess I don't get it, but maybe you guys do this or maybe you don't, but like you said, with the blog that you do gives you enough to be a nomad . Having the blog, patrons, receiving money through people and through your UA-cam channel you get to enjoy life. Life is short, that's absolutely true, I imagine a lot of people want to do what you do, maybe they have kids and other circumstances that they put a block on that dream. I can't understand how can people can contribute to watch other having the life that they want to have. Anywho, good for you guys to give such a support.

Hey, thanks for watching. We're very fortunate to run a successful blog that allows us to live the life we want to. Fortunately, we've never had to ask for money or donations (in fact, there's no way you can send us money). Instead, we just create high quality travel advice via written blogs and videos and get paid from ad revenue when people read or watch the content that we provide for free.
Thanks for watching our video. Let us know if you have any questions for us!

Safari Condo is the company , made in Quebec they’re called Alto’s making 5 or 6 different trailers , all aluminum, no wood and probably the lightest on the market with the living conditions. Towable by most cars . Not inexpensive but worth it .

Very nice, I have a couple of questions. How do you deal with the Key West heat without AC? Why the Safari Alto instead of a Little Guy Max or a Nucamp Tab 400? Can you remove the toilet and replace with a composting?

    • @JustinandJess
      @JustinandJess 11 днів тому +3

      1. We started in Key West in January so the temperatures were perfect!
      2. The Alto Expedition is 2,500lbs and can be towed by our midsize SUV (Highlander Hybrid). The other two models you mentioned are about 500lbs heavier (dry)
      3. I don't know specifically if the toilet can be removed, but I do know that Safari Condo installs cassette toilets in their trailers that are sent to Australia, so I can't imagine it'd be impossible.

First off, thanks for watching. We both grew up in lower middle class families. Neither of us have received a dime from our relatives. We've worked really hard for the past 10 years, most times working 80 to 100 hour weeks to chase our goals. We sacrifice many conveniences and live way below our means so we can design the life we want to live. If you want to know more, we'd be happy to answer your questions. 🙂
