Our guide Ketevan "Katie" Akhobadze takes us on a tour of Georgia's famous Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, hallmarks of Georgia's early Christian heritage.
Built in the 4th Century CE, the Jvari Monastery is where the young woman later known as Saint Nino erected the first cross in Georgia.
The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is the burial site of Sidonia, a Jewish woman from the first century CE who is believed to be buried holding a piece of the robe Jesus wore during his crucifixion.
