Kam, I'm a recruiter here at DBS (USAT). Loved this video, thank you! Unfortunately, we don't offer CLB (company load board) to company drivers at the moment (07/2024), but I do plan on sharing your wonderful insight with drivers that I bring on!
wow Usa Truck has changed alot since i was there back in 2021ish. was only with em for about 1 year and moved to the northeast which they didn't have anything up there. At one point they used to have home daily moving trailers to a meeting point with another driver and then you'd take it back to the terminal or delivery it somewhere close by.
I’ve been doing local for the last couple years and have been thinking about doing otr for the first time..this pointed me in the right direction. Db recruiting is reaching out so imma see what’s up..USA trucking as well glo
I did my application few days ago send in my ein # last night. So, waiting for the final step. Is anything else i need to know? I live in NY, so im hoping its busy.
I did enjoy my time with DB Schenker but in Sweden, but yeah i needed to be faster to do 20-25 deliveries per day with up to 15 pickups (only driving a heavy box truck not a semi)
Great video brother I’ve been with tmc for almost a year now and I’m just ready for my next big step and become a owner operator, I’m wondering if I should go all in and buy a truck with DB or should I try out being a company driver first? I’m from virginia
depends on your financial situation. if you got some money saved up for a little down payment on a truck, and do extensive research on the kind of truck you want to buy and depends on if you'll be hauling van, reefer, flatbed, etc. Also have to consider truck payment and/or trailer rental fees if your planning on renting a trailer, or if you want to get your own trailer. Will aldo need to factor in insurance, fuel, and maintenance costs.
@@mrpassrush1i just talked with recruiter..im coming from owner op side for last 5 years…how many loads can u book out..im coming over on monday very fast process..im going to talk with the coordinator of this side of USA..so weird for a company driver to pick their own loads…
Do they pay for deadhead miles while you on the load board as a company driver? Also will those deadhead miles contribute to meet that 2000 mile min to be able to use the load board as a company driver?
@@teronnierichardson4374 Yes, there is a dash cam and a driver cam. You are allowed to cover it or put up curtains in the sleeper whenever you are not driving the truck.
The cameras are triggered by safety events. Once an event is triggered (i.e. collision, harsh brake, curbing) the camera turns on for about 7 seconds. They cannot be manually activated.
YOU TOSS THE PEE BOTTLES OUT THE WINDOW!!! Seriously bro!! Man look!! 1. Get bags from the checkout at the truck stop. 2. When you get to another truck stop put the bag in the trash. Don’t mess around get a ticket!!
The ticket would be well deserved! Don't be nasty and put it in the trash or the toilet. I used to put it in my bag and dump it in the toilet, then toss bottle in the trash or reuse the bottle (used to carry empty 64oz juice bottles, they got wider lid).
I drove for USA truck in 03/04. They weren't bad imo. I hated the truck I drove though. It was low mileage 90k when I got it. It was a fn international though. International is by far my least favorite truck to drive.
Thanks for responding! I just got my CDL recently but I’m having a hard time finding a company with no experience. I’m willing to drive all over lol. It’s a bit disheartening.

Very true. I worked there for 3 years.

Pretty loose company. Didn’t really bother me while I was on the road.
How many experiences they required?
A year. They also have trainers for entry level.

If you want to go to the west coast can you?
You can but it could be tough to come out of the west …. You’ll learn that as you drive. No freight really out west. Be prepared for a 34hr reset.
