This is actually a really important through-line, in a way. We know from this that Jayce is a terrible negotiator, and hasn't truly grown out of his naivete.
But if you think about it, jayce's bad negotiating skill led to the successful creation of hextech by him meeting Viktor and the downfall of silco by just wanting jinx in exchange for the nation of Zaun.
He has alot of good quotes. including the one we saw on his poster which is just beautiful. "when you're going to change the world, don't ask for permission"
Would be very interesting see Warwick hunting Seveka in season too kinda bring the whole thing full circle. She was the one who pointed out how "weak" he had become and would be an interesting fight to see her face the monster she wanted him to be
Im pretty sure its darius because ( this is kinda meta and cheating and not supported by theory but it makes sense as a company to do) he is in project L and if u look at the cast of the game so far they are champs from either arcane, the card game, or ruined king. So my theory is that darius will be among the group of people who are from arcane.
One detail that you missed: When Jayce busts open the door to the shimmer factory in episode 8, the door crushes a worker and probably kills him. A couple seconds later, you can briefly see the dead worker crushed under the door right before Jayce stands in font of him and poses like a hero (not knowing the guy he just murdered is right behind him).
I really miss storytelling like this. So much more realistic than just black and white, good and bad. Both heroes and villains are flawed humans and not 1 dimensional story devices.
Here's a really good detail. You know how in the game, Jinx's ult dmg is higher when it travels at a further distance, so shooting it from across the city...now that's a lot of damage
a small thing i didn't see you mention, in act 2 the old dumb councilor is STILL trying to solve the puzzle that Mel gave him, the same one that was supposed to be aimed at kids
Another fun thought for me is how the Viktor running scene of him past the ships is quite beautiful, but brings his fasicination with the boats full circle. It feels a constant tease to the ship of Theseus. If Viktor replaces all the parts of himself, is he still Viktor?
Bro holy crap. This might just be a coincidence but if it isn't, the symbolism in this is through the freaking roof. Wow. Also when he is running earlier he is shown running right side meaning towards his betterment (from the state of mind perspective) but later he is shown running left where he is losing his sense of self by becoming someone different.
I truly do love how they did Jinx's mind breaking and her psychotic episodes. The glitching. The talking to herself. The inner voices. The visions. All of it.
Lmao. I instead hate it. It is clear that she is screaming for help, but there is no one who can provide it to her hearing. Those scenes show us that she is just not some simple evil person. She has severe mental problems that needed to be adressed
@@joserolando7264 that's what make it so good. She is obviously psychotic but Silco, even though he sees her as a daughter, doesn't really seem to care as long as he can still use her. Vi is one of the only people who even ask who she's talking to
I thought it was done poorly. Her actions don't make any sense. You're going to be adopted by the man that killed your family? You miss your sister then try to kill her? Then you kidnap your "sister" and "dad" and threaten to kill one of them on some crazy angle done poorly. Then when you accidentally kill one of them (because you're a dumbass) which you were going to do anyway, you cry.
@@petergeramin7195 you clearly misinterpreted everything. She never once said she’d kill either of them. She wanted to know which side to chose before making an irreversible decision. She killed Silco accident because she was having a mental breakdown, I don’t even know what other reason you were thinking implying she’s a dumbass. She cried because he was like a father to him. I agree joining the person who killed her father figure was strange but he would’ve killed her too if she didn’t. After that he was feeding her lies and manipulating her her whole life to keep her on his side, hence the reason he ended up in the chair when Jinx thought he was going to throw her away. She felt betrayed added to the fact that silco lied about Vi being dead. It’s beyond me how you expect someone who’s mentally ill to basically act like they aren’t
Something I really liked was how when vi was trying to bring powder back, she was bringing up all the people that jinx sees as trauma. Jinx would see them as people, but then her trauma kicked in and drew over that image with a demonic version. So while vi was trying to help, she was truly only making things worse.
@@CappyK Yeah, she had PTSD and insecure attachment and abandonment issues from the start. Vi "leaving" her, hitting her and calling her a "jinx" just made it worse!
Another interesting thing about the scene where viktor tries to destroy the core is that it actually moves away from him which shows that its alive and wants to live. This can be seen when it shows the top-down angle where the core is moving slightly away from viktor and out of the circle where it usually is.
@@bruis1527 yeah i was gonna ask and couldnt find any solid info on it. i thought it looked like the energy circulating through his legs seemed to suttter out after he attempted to destroy it and then hes back to limping again just as bad after words. Did the core take away what it gave him? or am i looking into it too much
My theory os that the hex core is corrupted with the void. It wants blood, it feeds on organic matter and create void like legs on viktor. If he hadnt used the runes to protect himself, he would be vaporized like sky.
would like to point out that the demons are not her mother, father and vi, they are milo, claggor and vander, if you pause frame by frame while vi is triggering her panic attack you can see the exact demons sketched over them
Year you can clearly see the smoke coming out of Silcos gun, and in the following shot Vi has a burnt mark on her shoulder where the bullet stript her.
It also echoes her listening in as a kid, both times just long enough to think she heard Vi/Silco say she's some worthless problem, when they were actually stating their loyalty to her.
Also, I think the scar on fishbones' left eye is supposed to mimic Silco which his left eye. Her minigun is called Pow-Pow, as a reference to her old self as Powder, and Fishbones as Silco, as Silco coincidentally liked Sea Monsters as was in his old workshop and with how when we hear Fishbones' lines in game, they come off as more fatherly and reasonable, like a father figure. She is holding on to those things that are precious to her, as memories of who she has lost when she became Jinx.
the mural doesnt have "jinx" and vi because they thought they were both dead, they only thought Vi was dead but they (Ekko in particular) considers *Powder* to be dead, despite Jinx just being her, he considers he completely changed as a human which is why it was the last thing he needed to show Vi attempting to convince her that Powder is gone, which is why its Powder on the mural
An extra detail to Jinx's ultimate is that the further it travels, the more damage it causes. I believe this was reflected by showing her rocket changing as it traveled, like how a rocket won't cause as much damage the sooner it explodes.
They did a great job with the abilities, like vi uses her shield passive and jayce uses his abilities in his fight scene. Hopefully next season we see some Caitlyn abilities.
The butterflies were OBVIOUSLY Jinx's creation. The only other real engineer is Ekko and why would he blow himself up killing a bunch of enforcers? And she literally walks down the bridge unscathed and executing the ones still alive.
I believe that Viktor’s leg was partly mechanical because during the transformation, he was wearing his leg brace, so it was most likely infused into his flesh into that magical, organic metal that those parts are now.
my theory is that Viktor will amputate those and replace with mechanical prosthetics since he now knows a bit of the horrors that Heimerdinger warned him about
@@Happy-md4zy I will point out that Viktor's prosthetic limbs in-game are his Left arm and leg, while in the series the Hexcore transforms his Right leg and hand. It's possible he later chooses to replace his left limbs to counteract/control the Hexcore, but is unable to cut off his right limbs due to the Hexcore's corruption.
My theory is that Jinx designed her Fishbones rocket after Silco. Fishbones looks like it may be missing one eye, and Silco himself loved with undersea monsters as seen in his underwater lair back in Act 1. Also I love the consistency with how Hextech works so far: The Fishbones rocket uses the Hextech Gemstone in exactly the same way the Hexgates use it. Both accelerate objects to extremely high speeds.
19:40 There is another very cool detail in this scene. When Viktor tells Jayce "you have to destroy it" Jayce looks at his hammer and says "i know" thinking thats what Viktor was talking about based on what their plans were for Hextech, when he was actually talking about the Hexcore. Pretty cool character building moment for Jayce imo
@@lilricky296 Although Heimer is the only pure white character in this story and the one who stays wise from begining to end, Jayce is totally right when he says Heimer don't understand human lifespan and i can totally feel his frustration form every time Heimer is belittling his progress on hextech. Every point he makes about Heimer rings quite true.
In act 2, when Victor sits at the sewer outlet contemplating his own mortality, He asks Heimerdinger if he ever thinks about death. Heimerdinger replies, "Only the deaths of friends." When Victor visits that same spot in act 3, he is mourning the death of a friend.
I was surprised when it was revealed that Fishbones is Hextech powered. I was even more surprised when it was revealed that the warhead itself was made from "conventional" explosives. Looks like the Hextech was used as a propellant force for the rocket, not as a warhead. Makes sense, as "conventional" warheads of that size should not be able to make it all the way from the bay area up to the high council room (with great accuracy). A great detail added by writers.
Yeah from her ingame weapons, I thought she might make the Zapper with hextech, which she most likely still will. But it also makes so much sense for Fishbones to give it the ability to shoot at super long range.
you can tell she worked on it for a very long time. You can see her concept art of Fishbones' design during her mental breakdown scene in Act 1. And recently in the client archives, Jinx was already on the process of making Fishbones, who she considers her only friend. Silco knew about this bec he saw how much effort she put into it and told her to take care of herself and Fishbones. The Hextech gemstone is the only component left to maximize Fishbones' power. To Jinx, Fishbones is her Tibbers which is one of the important things she carries around.
Since she was using jayce's notes to make it, I wonder if it uses a mini hexgate to launch the explosive, since it makes it go in a straight line similar to it
In Vi and Sevika’s fight, Vi flipping a table and punching it towards Sevika is a reference to a line in Vi’s theme “Have you ever really wanted to be, a total rebel flipping tables on the enemy”
5:35 I'd like to point out that it seemed to me like Silco took a very deep breath before Sevika released the gas in the room. I think they meant to show that Silco was holding his breath while he did his monologue (only breathing out), and then when he couldn't hold it anymore he took another breath with the mask before giving it to Finn. It feels sort of awkward but I think that's what they tried to do with that scene. Also no one seems to comment on how Ekko showed the watch to Jinx. This was a game they played as kids frequently as it seems. It involved some sort of timer for him to get to her without getting shot. That's why she laughed at the watch. He was inviting her to play one last time.
I know it's kinda obvious, but I am still surprised you didn't mention this: When Jinx shows up in the mirror behind Caitlyn, this is also the first time we see her eyes as purple/pink. Albeit created by shimmer, and therefore also shining like hell, I think this is the exact moment when she was completely out of reach for Vi. She may not have accepted it herself before she shot Silco and sat in the Jinx chair as opposed to the Powder chait. But that was the moment she became the exact opposite of Vi, and they could never have a happy future. Each of their respective hair color being the opposites eye color, each going a different path.
One thing to add, in Jinx’s original splash art she has purple/pink eyes, as opposed to her natural blue in the show. I think that’s a great way to connect the tiny detail of her eyes having the color change due to shimmer.
I think also during the last scene with Sevika by the empty chair, the lyric is "what we could have been", hinting at what Sevika and Silco could have done for an independent Zaun. Because now that Silco is gone, there is no real leader to step into place like Silco did when Vander "died", hence Zaun is likely heading towards darker, more chaotic times. Also all the symbolism and lyrical narration during the last scene is just perfect.
I think she will take Silco's place but as hinted by Finn's interaction with her, the chembarons won't respect her authority as they respected Silco's (and that was already wavering). She'll probably have her plate full with them next season
Actually, the song "what could have been" is about the relationship between Vi and Jinx. In the song it describes Jinx's point of view of the whole situation between them. The first line in the song goes "I am the monster you created" which is clearly referring to the name of the finale and one of Jinx's lines when she talks about how Silco was not the one who created 'Jinx' but it was really Vi. When the music of "what could have been" begins Jinx says "I thought maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I'm different" there is also a line in the song that goes "why don't you love who I am?" All the lines in the song correlate to Jinx's feelings.
The song "what could have been" could actually be seen in different perspectives as well for example the relationship between Vander and Silco but I'm heading into the direction where I think it's mainly centered around the two sisters
I loved how the champions' skills represented in the battles, my favorites are in the fights of VI, her shield is activated because the gauntlets are designed to protect miners, as for Jinx's passive, it is activated when she becomes excited thanks to the drug fully integrated into her body allowing her to reach superhuman speeds. Every time I see it again I find more details.
I love the sound queues from the in game abilities being used, i mainly noticed it with Vi. You can hear her ultimate when she lunges forward when fighting with Jayce on the shimmer distillery, and i think it's when she fights Sevika you can hear her Q.
Jinx is one of the most tragic characters that I've seen in media. The hardest thing is that abandonment and trauma can really change a person until they're unrecognizable, where there was once love there is now internal chaos and destruction. Just like Jinx, most people dealing with similar abandonment and trauma from those closest to them in real life rarely have happy endings either - life imitates art.
worst thing is that there are no psychatrists and therapists in place like Zaun....she really never had a chance, I have been diagnosed with bipolar with psychotic features but the amount of things that Jinx probably has is just horrible, and all this is totally untreated, I canonly imagine how confusing and loud it is in her head , how paranoid she is and show did great job showsing us her point of viw....like she doesnt really see people like they are, how she has scratched out traumatic memories.... , also voiceactor was amazing,
What makes it even worse is Jinx is still Powder deep down as much as she denies it because she resents being that "helpless little girl" in an alley crying for her big sister to come back to her!
VI's theme had this line "Have you ever really wanted to be a total rebel flipping tables on the enemy?" She then goes on to flip (and smash) a pool table into Sevika. Love it
> Also during the full shot of Fishbones' reveal, you can see that it doesn't have belt straps around the neck compared to the one in her splash arts. So it is most likely after that overcharging, the barrel broke due to the immense pressure and Jinx would later reinforce it with durable materials and strap it with belts to tighten it to avoid bursting > When Sevika is tuning and repairing her arm, you may notice that she removed the broken shoulder pad that houses the pumping mechanism for the shimmer and it was beside her. You can tell she also has engineering skills, instead for a pump, she opted to use a turbine ventilation system and using a shotgun shell mechanic by loading 2 vials instead of one, 1 vial to power up while the other could be used as a lubricant, cooling fluid and a secondary power source. The blade is an upgrade to her initial claw. You may also notice that she is fully in control during her fight and not going also berserk compared her first fight and plus her scars appeared to be healed.
If you read Urgot's bio it says he was sent to Pilltover to hunt someone from Noxus who challenged the ruling party. Even though this was Madam Medarda's son she did say whoever killed her son would not stop till their entire family was dead. So even though in his bio his mission doesn't go as planned I think its likely we may see or atleast get a refence to Urgot in Season 2 Also while this is a weak connection Fiddlesticks tends to hunt in areas of great fear and paranoia. I do believe before moving to Demacia due to the mage rebellion, his prior hunting ground could've been Piltover/Zaun because of the high tension between the two cities and both fearing the outcomes of war. This would explain why the crows are seen in areas on Zaun where we see no other natural life
Something I just realized is that her speed shown when she disarms Caitlyn and knocks her down in the final episode is totally a reference to her “Get Excited” passive. Now it explains where she gets all of that speed from!!!
@@edgyhegi9547 no, not just the Turbo Chemtanks. In episode 3, after Deckard got injected with shimmer, he gained the ability to move really fast. You can see with how fast he moved to kill Benzo
My favorite detail is how Seveka upgrades her arm from her last encounter with Vi. no exposed shimmer vial, reinforced plating in spots where she was shot/ damaged…everywhere except the spot where her arm was torn from her.
The "reunion" scene in Silco's office made his charcter way better to me. In my interpretation, he had no idea what was really happening there and was just giving a power speech about loyalty and shit. When Sevika cuts Fin, you can see that Silco actually lost his shit and was truly surprised, but quickly recomposed himself and acted like he knew all along. The same way he was enduring the pain of breathing the poisoned air just to indimidate the Barons, you can see he was being afected by the air because he took a breath with the mask before handing it to Fin and Sevika quickly ventilates the room after Silco made his scene, if he was "imune" to the heavy air, they could just leave it there, since every one else was already masked.
I dont think he doesn't know what was happening, but he was making a gamble. He knew that they were attempting a coup and that they roped Sevika into it. He doesn't know the end result of that and whether Sevika will go along with them or if she will listen to his loyalty speech.
I feel like the speech about loyalty was him telling Finn that this could possibly happen to him, he thought he was going to die, so he was giving Finn like... Idk how to say this but like an advice? or more like scolding him... You know? Like his finals words is telling him that he's just a random kid, loyalty is important, and he's gonna suffer before his death... But then Sevika surprised him
I love how Jinx' home is a perfect allegory for her entire character. It is dark and full of deadly gadgets, seemingly fun, but all the 'friends' there are just painful memories; it is at the top, but constantly hanging over a bottomless pit. Finally, it is built on a broken ventilation fan - something that could do immense good for the people below, but never will because nobody has both the will and the know-how to fix it. That also makes it the opposite of Ekko's home in literally every aspect.
Which could mean that Darkwill was slain recently, therefore Swain’s now in the process of taking over noxus and chasing down loose ends which is perfect for Urgot to be introduced as he was replaced and sent to zaun by Swain.
Was kinda thinking the same thing. I think that initial flashback might have been the invasion of Ionia. (I actually thought the girl the brought in was Irelia for a second though it could have been one of her siblings) . Mel's mother talks about how the person they're fighting has resources they couldn't even dream of .... it very much fits .
I really think that mel will safe all council members by activating her golden "artifacts" she is wearing all the time and that she isnt really from Noxus.
The 3 demons Jinx sees are Vander, Clagger and Milo, you see them first then they get covered in that scribble to look like the monsters tormenting her The red one even has the googles and the blue has big eyebrows lol
I have no knowledge of League lore beyond what few things I've seen mentioned in videos about the series like this. That said, and maybe I'm seeing things, but on rewatch the demon that symbolizes Vander looks rather canine.
More so, Vander's one is purple, which could be a reference to him being amped up on shimmer right before he died. Honestly, part of the idea of Singed making Vander specifically Warwick could be what Singed saw/heard when Vander was amped on shimmer.
i dont blame him too much. he has been pumping out mad content lately, and when speed is valued over quality, mistakes happen (plus sleep deprivation). still, though, i hope the season 2 theories is really good
I think back to some trailer they did for league some years back, where leona was throwing herself below an axe to defend ahri. Gives me the idea mels shiny armor will protect the council but will sacrifise her in the proces
I just realized something about dinner-scene. My theory is that the reason why Jinx chooses not to kill Caitlyn is because she knows Cait means a lot to Vi and she did not want to be the one responsible for Vi losing someone close to her again (like Mylo, Claggor and Vander.) That is partly why she asks Vi to get rid of Caitlyn herself, on top of Vi choosing Jinx over Caitlyn.
My interpretation is kinda different. She was asking Vi to kill Caitlyn out of hope that Vi could still prove to unconditionally love her. And when Silco dies, she resigns to both her and Vi being too different now to reconcile, making killing Caitlyn pointless.
@@gcircle yeah that's how I see it, but jinx would know better because vi will never kill someone that doesn't deserve it and jinx was some what right that vi will never love jinx. But i give Vi some slack cause at this point she's been out prison for about a week and still doesn't have time to process jinx.
@@jesusolguin5896 I think you have a point but I also don't think Jinx was thinking rationally. I think she was attached to vi loving her z and of Caitlyn was there then vi would have less time for her, and therefore vi needed to so caring about Caitlyn
I also love how Silco was sighing in relief as Savika killed Finn. He bet it all in that scene not being sure what the outcome could have been and you can see all of that in his face. Amazing detail
and Corin ( Ori's father in the lore) is famous for prosthetic limbs, and Sevika having a shimmer-based arm. And with how Sevika despite jinx, i can't imagine anyone but singed to make the arm for her
Silco truly cared when he tried to shoot Vi during the dinner scene, not because Jinx might help Vi but because Silco thinks he was hurting her for mentioning things in the past that traumatized her. Because honestly I don't think yelling words at Jinx that trigger her ptsd will help her any way except make it worse but Vi wouldn't know that and just wanted to see "Powder" again.
There was no anger or sadness from Silco when she shot him. His only concern was to assure her that it wasn't her fault and that she is perfect. Dude had a LOT of problems and was a terrible human being that deserved to die, but damn he truly did love Jinx. Vander was a good man in a bad circumstance, Silco was a bad man who made terrible circumstances for others, but both were good father's. That's good writing
Or maybe he was afraid to lose all the work he put into her, so he took the matter into his own hands and tried to solve the issue his way. Throughout the show you can clearly see how obsessed he is with control and loyalty. But he also knows how unstable Jinx is.
Also, the scene at the table where Vi was telling Jinx to remember her family and as soon as she said Vander's name, you can see the cartoonish drawings on Vander's form showing a wolf-like entity.
@@Syn_Prototype If it's not Warwick I'm going to be really disappointed, because Riot have been dropping a lot of hints towards it. Having Vander and Warwick be different characters in the end would be a massive copout...
Just before the rocket reached the council room, Mel's smile at Jayce turned into a frown and she alone started shinning. Pointing that she noticed the missile coming and activated her power (remember, she is a fox & a wolf).
I was thinking about what would happen to Mel. Mostly because of who her mom is. Like obviously jinx started a war with that finial shot. And the way the rocket hit, Mel would have taken the shot directly. We see how far the people in this show will go for their loved ones. Killing the daughter of a merciless worrier who’s only weakness is her daughter… geez
You're missing so much about ekko in the fight. He knows what to do not just because he grew up, but he knew what jinx would do at each second, and similar to his character release teaser, he's learning what the best option is at every second of the fight. Slowly perfecting. Also Jinx's entrance is the exact same here as when she last encounter ekko, but it shows her squishing the replica firelight this time.
That scene is amazing all this little implications that this is kind of game they used to play as kids and a lot is conveyed just by their faces. Ekko chuckles and then gives Jinx a knowing smile then pull out the watch it’s all very “hey remember this?” Then jinx is perplexed a bit but then chuckles and smiles back and gets in position for the start of the game, and goes with the knowing what she would do cause they’ve been there before. It’s subtle as heck without a single word of dialogue and goes to show how good the animators are
Detail you missed, vi originally told powder "we will show them all" When silco said that he became a replacement vi Edit: I also forgot to mention when she killed silco, it's like she killed replacement Vi; like she killed her support blanket.
8:40 I mean, it's extremely clear who sent them... It's Jinx... we see her working on these butterflies in episode 4. And I don't understand how people can even associate them with Ekko, they're butterflies, Ekko animals are firelights, their completely different visually.
The biggest thing for me that tells me it has to be Jinx is they are lethal. On multiple occasions we see the firelights refusing to use lethal weapons. It just wouldn't make sense for them to make these straight up weapons of mass destructions.
Remember that Silco and Marcus were trying to frame the Firelights for their crimes. Jinx may have made them for that reason; deliberately evoking Firelight green to incriminate Ekko.
Another detail related to Viktor, and Jinx. Viktor after his first interaction with the cube. In ever scene, Viktor had used his cane under his right arm, because that's the leg that was the weakest. After his leg changes, he starts using the cane under his left arm. I took this to mean that after the change, in comparison to his new transformed leg, his other leg felt extremely weak and frail in comparison. And Jinx with all the crow symbolism, is that crows are also a symbol of bad omens, or bad luck. Meaning, whenever we see a crow, it means that the situation has been 'jinxed'. But also the 'monster' flashes weren't meant to represent Powder's family. Each time Vi had mentioned a name, one of those monsters covered up the name. When she mentioned Clagger, it showed him before flashing the red monster. It's why the red monster looks like it's wearing goggles on its head.
I disagree on Victor. Throughout act 2-3 he consistently uses the crutch on his left side, same in that final scene with Sky's ashes, and it's correct because you use a crutch on the opposite of your weak leg. He only used his right hand to hold his cane in act 1, which I honestly don't understand.
There is actually a reference in scene with Jayce and Silco. When the Jayce accepts a conditions Silco says "he didn't even bargain" reference of 1 act when ekko gave him double price for illegal items. 😃
One thing that really bothered me that I didn't understand is why Renni's son was working in the shimmermine. She's a wealthy individual, and her son would probably be too young to have a position of command. I can't think of a reason why he'd had to be there.
The same reason how he got blasted by Jayce, felt from ~20m height and was still alive for the 20 minutes while Jayce was slowly walking down the stairs: it was made to bait our emotions and cause creators thought it would look cool, but in reality it just looks absurd
The ekko vs. jinx fight scene really shows us how good ekko is at learning from his mistakes from the past. On a side note, why is the inspiration rune always absent? I noticed it was also missing from the ryze cinematic.
It now mostly associated with Nunu and wilup... As a kid's mind has endless possibilities and ideas of what it could be vs. what it is; something adults and "damage people " often tend to lose... reality tend to destroy fairytales.... Jace and viktor lost it in the quote: "in the pursuit of greatness, we failed to do good". Jinx, Vi and ekko lost it at lost of friends and family. Heimer would have "misplaced it " after so much time being alive...
oddly enough, the inspiration rune is inside willump from nunu and willump. he's a yeti tasked with the role of keeping the rune safe and that's why we don't see the rune anywhere else :)
Dude that went deep real fast, I'm not familiar with nunu lore but i hope ryze doesn't go crazy and kill nunu just to hide the rune, after seeing a purple guy collect some stones in a different universe, I dont think a can trust another xd.
@@giobrando6574 In Ryze's story one of the world runes was used by a tribe in Freljord to ward off trolls or some other monsters that would othereise destroy their village. There is a scene where Ryze walks out of the village with the rune in hand, knowing that the people in that village will all die. He has to do brutal things to secure the runes which makes sense- each of them is like a nuclear bomb, maybe worse. Idk what is up with Nunu though, this is the first time I hear about him having the inspiration rune inside him. I wonder if it is actually a world rune...
@@becauseidonthavenitrotoupl4259 Inspiration itself is a Rune that is basically not the others, like I know builds will use it as a secondary Rune but never itself until now. While the others you can tell immediately what it will do for you, Inspiration is well, you need to be inspired to actually use it.
Mel sensed Jinxs rocket. The flash of Mel's gold could not have been just for show. With four minutes left in the final episode, after Jayce looks at her and smiles, she glances to her left with a look of concern. She looks to her right with that same face after gold flashes.
Jayce is looking literally RIGHT at the rocket, its impossible he doesn't notice it first. The show supports this by showing Jayce furrowing his brow the moment before Mel stops smiling. Edited to make my point more clear: i think she looks because she notices Jayce's expression change and senses he's looking behind her not at her.
@@ispear6337 If you rewatch the scene by pausing or at low speed, you will notice that Jayce expression doesnot change , and More Over, The rocket hits Mel from behind from another angle glass, where Jayce's back is almost to the rocket as well, and you will notice that Mel indeed felt it first
@@xack_flash I have watched it back numerous times and like i said Jayce furrows his brow the moment before Mel stops smiling. Also the rocket crashes through the window directly behind Mel; if Jayce is looking at Mel from her front and the rocket is behind her he would have a perfect line of sight to it. His back is certainly not to the rocket. Honestly what's more reasonable; a character has supernatural sense in the very last second of the season despite absolutely no prior evidence or foreshadowing, or a character staring directly at the window a rocket is about to crash through sees the rocket and reacts to it?
@@ispear6337 i doubt anyone facing the window notices the rocket. First I can hardly see Jayce's expression changes, and if he really sees the rocket he should be getting the hell out of there/doing something rather than standing right there and smiling, same as every other one sitting in the council. And I think people who face the window do not necessary notice the rocket. The window could be made of obscure glass, thats why other councilors do not see or react to the rocket as well.
A piece from Swain's lore: "After securing the western borders, Swain’s own reputation was secured in Shurima, where his forces raised countless noxtoraa above the desert sands". The flashback scene where we see young Mel and Ambessa looks like shurima. If we consider that this quote from Swain's lore actually takes place at the same time as Mel's flashback, he would only take power over Noxus many years later according to his lore. This is where my theory kicks in: the man who killed Mel's brother could be Swain. Imagine that Ambessa and her son were supporting Darkwill's reign, and when Swain took the power over, Mel's brother got executed. This would actually be a brilliant hook for season 2 because Mel's flashback with her mom is all about teaching her how to let no bloodline live because it could rebel against you in the future, meaning that if Swain actually is the man who crossed her brother, he would be coming after Ambessa and Mel next. This would explain why Ambessa showed up with a whole fleet of soldiers just to visit her daughter, because she is on a run. And also would explain her sudden interest and rush to influence Piltover on making hextech weapons. She knows that Mel would never give her any weapons for her own sake, why would she convince an opposing region to make military defenses? Only if it would mean to defend herself from the inevitable Swain invasion.
i don't know who swain is as arcane has got me into the lore of LOL (not the actual game, looks boring from my stand point) but after reading your theory it sounds like a pretty awesome storyline
@@mattybrown3369 Swain is one of the present day leaders of Noxus. He was primed to be THE leader of Noxus but ceded power to be divided into a triumvirate in order to prevent himself or any future leaders from going mad with power. In present day lore he has been in power for a couple of years from my understanding. I highly recommend looking into league lore even if you have no love or maybe even some hatred for the game. It is almost all good. Some is amazing and rarely it can be bad. I've been playing the game for years and watched the lore become what it is so I feel strongly about it.
@@quickredf0x143 sounds like an awesome storyline and hopefully they delve into it, maybe in another branch running alongside arcane and eventually all blending together. Just before arcane came out i got into the lore by watching all the cinematics which is truly masterful work from a games company but i'll have to have a read as well as i never knew how deep it actually went until now. Thanks for the heads up! As you have that connection to the game and lore, what storyline would you like to see them make into a series?
Another easily missed detail: Silco DID get that shot off at Vi, as you can see a bullet hole in the chair when the camera snaps to her. (Heck there's a whole shot of the bullet soaring and impacting the chair)
I also love how Victor was sitting in Heimerdingers spot where he said he only contemplates the death of friends. Now Victor in his place doing just that. That scene really was one of the best in the series.
Silco _did_ fire the gun at Vi. You can see smoke coming out of it when he drops it, also there is a burn patch on Vi's right shoulder in the next shot.
I swear. Necrit's community has thightest microscopes. They can find details even Necrit wouldnt notice. I LOVE reading these comments. Its like a second video.
@hello mtfkers *League of legend's LORE community. We try to keep the toxicity to a minimum here. All here to have a good time exploring the lore of ruinterra.
Can we all just appreciate how good this series was/is gonna be. After riot has been debatably killing their own game just when everyone thought league was dying they drop this masterpiece. It really BLEW my mind.
Fishbone wasn't just a random rocket launcher, it was a weapon made in the image and legacies of Silco, Jinx's father. Fishbone resembles that of an aquatic sea creature, specifically a shark. Remember not only was Silco fond of aquatic animals, shown when he remarks how piltovan will never be able to see how beautiful a species of fish only living in Zaun sewage water is, but Silco himself was heavily linked to the sea. Silco was drown and betrayed by Vander in a sea, Jinx was also birth when Silco submerged her in the same sea.
Forgot to mention that Mel in the flashback said she wanted to paint the walls in gold and then when she paints the Noxian bastion gold on her painting when she decides to switch over to jayce his side
I noticed during Mel and Jayce’s “intimate” scene that even when her clothes are off Mel still has the gold plating on her neck and shoulders, I wonder if it has something to do with the same gold plates glowing before the rocket hits, could just be for effect though
It most likely is Solari armor that she can't take off and is ingrained in her very skin. That's also why she dresses up in gold and has those gold dots and eye thingy to hide that fact.
Must be some kind of Noxian magic she took with her when her family casted her out. It's probably some kind of warning system with a built in shield in the event she's attacked. Just a spitball guess.
This is just something i noticed at the end: Mel most likely has a unique ability that protects her. After rewatchhing the last few seconds, I see that the gold shining on her was not from the rocket it was from mel herself! Also remember that they're all sitting in chairs with tall backs. There's no way she would've seen the rocket if she turned , but whatever that gold things is on her back helped her sense the rocket was coming. And if I'm not mistaken, there was a scene where mel was woken up from her sleep, like she sensed something
There's a ton of speculation about her. And the scene fuels this by making it hard to tell if it's her or just a reflection. I'm quite curious to see how many people in that room die. If Mel and caitlyns mom die it gives everyone more reason to fight jinx and zaun, plus gives Mel's mom a way to further influence jayce. Season 2 will be interesting
@@fcasias7 It's not a reflection, unless light can do through a chair 🤣. I just think because of her mom, Mel probably has some type of protection on her (either she did it herself or someone else did). She was the only person out of the council, even though she questioned Jayce and what he was trying to achieve the first time she saw him, she still was interested in bringing magic/hextech to piltover. If any of the other councilors found Jayce and Viktor trying to sneak into Heimerdinger's office, that would've been it for Jayce. But Mel was easily swayed.
13:29 I can't be the only one thinking of Zac and Rammus also in 19:52, the original quote was much more impactful than what you summarized here. "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good." The whole time, they thought their invention of the hextech would help improve lives and it symbolizes what they stand for: progress. Sadly, it was also what led to power and destruction, costing the lives of those they thought would benefit from it. They progressed greatly, but they failed morally.
One thing I went back and am surprised you didn’t mention was with the fight with jynx and ekko. After the flash back of them playing the game, when they jump back to real time the fight only takes about 4 seconds from when he would have gotten to the start of the fight. Personally (as a die hard ekko main) I think this is a beautiful way to reference his ultimate without him having the z-drive or chrono break yet.
As a note, earlier Jayce had said that they can't make a deal for peace with Silco if he goes away after. So even before Jinx fires the rocket, that vote they are making wouldn't do much now that Silco is dead.
@@endynation4968 Singed way of helping would be him making Silco have even more of that black and orange stuff on his eye, His way of “life” does not look or feel good
Another interesting thing to think about is that, at the end of the season you can see Mel react before the rocket charges up, and the moment the chimes are played, she turns around. Maybe she has some sort of magical power that saves some of the council members and Jayce.
If you look closely at the scene where Silco was talking to Vander's statue, you can see Jinx's hair on the back. Its a bit easy to miss but it's there. The damn details in this series is astounding.
8:40 The drawings on the insects' wings matches the face of the monkey, just... cut out to the parts that would fit on the wings themselves. These are more than likely Jinx's, and they've been following Vi just like how Jinx was stalking them from afar. - Part of why Jinx was hoping Vi would leave the scene could be so that she wouldn't explode from the fireflies.
The runes in Victor's hexcore are Precision (Yellow),Domination (red),Resolve (green) and Sorcery(purple) with inspiration rune(blue) missing, in Ryze's cinematic we see the same runes in the secret room, but the inspiration rune is also missing.
Inspiration clearly seems to be the Rune that isn’t like the others, all the other 4 are clearly straight forward, while Inspiration has different abilities
that yellow glow from Mel at the end is very solari. i thought at first it was just a way to focus on her since her back is right to the glass, but the fact her dress when she was young was very solari inspired, and now this, i cant help but think theres more to it
@25:06 Silco doesn't just pick up the gun, he fires it at Vi's head which Vi barely ducks. You can see both the bullet hole in Vi's chair where Vi's head was, and the gun is also smoking when he drops it (literal smoking gun analogy). The gun shot is what makes Jinx shoot Silco
Swain might actually use both crows and ravens. As per the wiki page it is stated in a Q&A that "Swain is aware of most major threats around Runeterra thanks to his crows, but has decided to deal with them later over more intermediate ones. " this would suggest that he uses crows for recon. His old ultimate and current passive's names are RAVENous flock, which would suggest that ravens are present although honestly thats a bit of stretch. However, Beatrice his personal pet is confirmed to be a raven. In some of his recent art you can see that the shape of the head and beak for some resemble crows, and others ravens. I believe that he uses crows for intel gathering and ravens for combat; this would actually line up logically aswell since crows are smaller and easier to miss while ravens are larger and more imposing making them more suited for combat.
I hope the man hunting the Medarda's are Swain and/or Darius. Mel's mother seems to have a lot of pride in their family legacy. More so than loyalty to Noxus. And when Swain took over the Medardas picked the wrong side or were considered by Swain and Darius to not have the best interest of Noxus at heart.
I would love to see a video where you briefly explain the connections between Shimmer, the Void, Chemtech as well as the Hextech crystals and how they affect each other. Also, your videos make Arcane even better than it already is :D
25:00 In reference to the Council Archives, Jinx tries very hard to disconnect with Powder, and we can absolutely see it in the show as well. The blue little monster is more likely Powder, who Jinx had to cut away and "kill", simply because of how much guilt and pain being Powder brought.
Also, when Vi charges to attack we can hear the sound of her ultimate. And whle it's a shame there was no "Here comes Vi" (I personally was expecting some kind of instrumental version) she does flip table on her enemy in fight with Sevika, yay!
I think that the scene where Jinx removed the cloche at the dinner table may have been a reference to Batman: Death of the Family she reveals that she wasn't hiding anything disturbing/bloody under it and says that she's "not THAT crazy", hinting at the fact that she's not as far gone as the Joker (yet, anyways)
Before Jinx fires Fishbones a violet tear flows down her cheek. The same thing happens to Silco the first time Jinx injected him with shimmer in episode 4
Silco is probably my favorite character. He isn't really a villain there's also no hero it's all morally grey He was a good dad though. He gave up his dreams for jinx. He finally understood Vander. "Is there anything so undoing as a daughter"
It's rather sickening how so many people seem to think he was a good dad. Good dads actively encourage your PTSD and insanity, huh? What kind of fucked up household did you grow up in?
Okay, so while the series definitely does an excellent job at presenting us very layered and morally complex characters, and Silco is a prime example of this. I also simply can't understand why people seem to suddenly think he isn't a villain. While he certainly has the capacity of a nurturing father, abuse still comes in many forms than just the immediate physical side. All throughout, Silco feeds into Jinx/Powder's dangerous impulses by painting this picture in her head that everyone is against her; in the process, neglecting her mental heath and sanity for the sake of progressing his ideology and agenda. I can still get behind the fact that he would not have given her up (because there was a genuine love there and Silco has some humanity), but theirs was still a toxic relationship as he enables "Jinx" and mostly ignores the ramifications. Let's also not forget that Silco is still very much responsible for other fucked up shit in the Undercity. Do we say the dude burning down an orphanage isn't a "bad guy" cause he cries while doing so? Hell no.
@@justinviloria5257 exactly silco is litteraly a druglord thriving off of people becoming addicted to shimmer and then ruining there lives. Has killed thousands and thousands of people to the point where he is so desensitised he couldnt care less about that kid dying, not to mention those kids were more then likely experimented on for those shimmer suits. he didnt take care of poweder he weaponised a desprate and alone girl to keep the under city in check. And on top of all that hes the one that killed gozmo and vernon and set up the whole traumitising vi ekko and powder. Like yeah he fathered jynx becuase they were both fucked over and alone. But he is litteraly the reason poweder had no one, there was no garuntee vernon and his kids would have escaped, sure powder essentially was the reason they died but there deaths in genral were inevitable. Silco manipulated jynx with vi vernon milo and claggers deaths, knowing he killed vernon and that he was trying to kill milo and clagger and fucking knew vi was alive and kept it all from poweder so she would stay his insane killing machine, and rushed her to creat a hextec death weapon instead of helping her with her clear mental instability due to Vi's return. Silco is a horrible human being, the scene where he saves her still feels motivated by her getting that gemstone from ekko the animaters mad a clear scene of him becoming very focused on the crystal instead of his precious dying daughter befor leaving . He was by no means a good father or morally grey. He was actually super fkn evil
@@peba-moanatemoapunguika7866 well I can see the points your making, I would say he was the best father he was capable of being, you gotta remember he was broken aswell. In the first scene he has with Powder we see Silco be more focused on acting nice and just trying to find Vi, but when she clings to him and he looks to Vander's corpse we see humanity in him, he realises that she has faced the same problems he had. In general we see Silco come to realise why Vander stopped fighting, in the end we see it all come down to how the show started in a way, Silco was basically the head of the undercity and when put into the same position Vander was at the start we see him struggle the exact same way. Like you said Jynx is completely unstable but he knew that the past is what it would take to break her, which is why when he learns that Vi is back he does everything he can to kill her, because he knows deep down if Jynx is forced to choose between him and Vi that he is going to be cast aside, obviously Caitlyn throws a wrench into the decision and it's seen in the ending where he pleads to Jynx and makes her try to focus on the 'fact' that she was replaced. It's seen throughout most of the show and is implied that Silco knows that she is unstable but is still in enough control, which is why he always tried to cut off the past to her, we see this in river where Vander tried to drown him, how that Silco tried to paint Vander differently to how he knew him not how Powder knew him, but when it came to Vi he always said she was dead because their bond was too strong, he also most likely knew who Ecko was but also knew that he believed Powder was dead. In the end I think we can both agree that this show is a complete masterpiece in the complexity of the characters and story it tells, but generally I see the whole plot as being circle as Powder was left abandoned not once but twice and both times someone has come to comfort her, that being Vander (plus Vi, as we see her cling to her more than him) and Silco
One thing that I found fasinating, is that when the rocket is about to hit, we can see that Mel actually has an under the clothes armor, for me something very noxian like thing, meaning that even thou she takes the ring off as a simbolic gesture, she is still trained as a noxian
I can see Sevika being the next champion. They showcased some of her abilities and I think she would make a cool new bruiser/juggernaut. And she didn’t die. Adds up.
I could imagine her as a mix between Riven and Vi. Like all the punching stufff from Vi and then as Ultimate she gets the sword and empowers her abilities. Idk sounds cool to me
Mel could also be a support character if her golden "jewelry" is in fact some kind of solari magic, she is also supporting Jayce all the show and would be a complete waste of a character since she developes almost the entire Piltover arc with her actions and only Viktor in this second half of the show takes some highlight from her.
the next 2 champs in line were pulled from Arcane during development and will be releasing early 2022, the roadmap says they didnt fit in with the "event" which is 100% Arcane. It cannot be Mel or Sevika. They definitely still could be champs a year from now when Arcane is finally done.
I think the Old Regime Mel's mom was talking about was just the government of some state that they invaded. I'm not sure Swain has come into power yet or is the Medardas' enemy, cause it makes more sense for it to be Urgot imo. Urgot being the Grand Headsman has a lot of resources as was mentioned by Ambessa (Mel's mom according to the credits), and would absolutely be the kind of guy to execute some spineless politician for going against the ideals of Noxus. Plus we know Urgot was sent to Piltover and Zaun to weed out a conspiracy against Darkwill, so if the Medardas are actually in support of Swain, this all makes perfect sense, and sets up Urgot's character arc for season 2 and beyond.
But the assignment to Zaun was a wild goose chase. Doesn't make sense for there to be a real target. Especially one that if you are right is supporting Swain, aka the one who sent him there.
@@Novictus I think it makes perfect sense, especially if Mel's mom is willing to act as bate. That said, we've already seen retcons in Arcane, so I don't see why they couldn't change it from wild goose chase to having an actual target and getting outsmarted.
There's also theories surrounding Mel and her assistant Elora. - Elora is actually LeBlanc in disguise - Elora might be a Black Rose Spy - Elora is Camille??? (I've seen one on Reddit) - Mel is LeBlanc??? (Reddit) But at Ep. 9 this theory might fall easily. Mel is probably a Solari worshipper or atleast that metal on her back is made from Solari. At the final scene, the sub title is written *Chimes.. when the metal at her back shines. Chimes is a bell like sound so it's like it's emmiting something. Also on the same scene, the metal was emphasized and X-rayed as it is some sort of part of her skin not a part of her clothing, and the camera zooms out.
8:41- No, it's not unclear. Silco had been saying the whole time that Jinx was going to handle things, and when he says that he always means fulfilling his ambitions for Zaun by bringing about war. Specifically in this instance by ending the blockade, because a blockade can't exist if all the guards are dead.
One of my favorite scenes from act III was defnitely when Viktor was diffusing jinx's bomb and you saw he was hesitating to cut the wire. In my opinion he did this not because he wasn't sure if this would diffuse the bomb, but rather because he was thinking about just letting the bomb go off. He realised that he didn't have long to live anymore because of his disease and he wasn't sure yet if he would accept the help from Singed. And he also was against Jayce weaponizing hextech. So he thought about just letting the bomb go off, killing them both so that hextech could not be used for war, and thus preventing their dream to fall to shatters.
The 3 demons that jinx imagines towards the end of the last episode are not his parents and vi, but they are mylo claggor and vander, vander's demon also looks like a wolf 25:00
Jinx's character design is the best ive seen on decades. Though she looks psychotic, her eyes are drawn in such a way that it ignites piety, and it also shows that behind all those madness, theres still Powder. Even Ekko fell for it.
The monster hallucinations in the end were Vander, Milo and Claggor. They were seen just the shot before. I also noticed that the monster reprecenting Vander looked a lot like Warwick.
Also, in Silco's last moments, we can see that jinx's eyes slowly loose their pink color, before getiing it back when she is contemplating jinx's chair And actually silco actually fired at vi, he just missed, we can see it with the hole in the chair where she was seating and smokes coming out from the gun
Singed is my favourite champ in league and its so sick to see him in Arcane . funnily enough he was the first ever champ put into the game code and is in the first league show. I wanna see if he gets his shield and why he uses it
@@Predator20357 so if there is a time skip for season 2 it could be when noxus hires him to create the poison gas for the invasion of ionia, shimmer gives him speed and strength to toss people like tables, the insanity potion (his ult) his secret brew that he keeps to himself and the mega adhesive is pretty self explanatory. I find it incredible how much thought they put into all of this, so many consistencies throught the series which are so hard to notice unless you are looking out for them.
You forgot the fact that they broke the jukebox, the very jukebox used in the intro symbolizing it's the end for the series and you gotta wait for it to get fixed
Silco : the boy didn't even haggle.
Ekko: he didn't even haggle I charged him double price
Piltover doesn't haggle
It's funny because they both are talking about Jayce :D
Jayce specifically
This is actually a really important through-line, in a way. We know from this that Jayce is a terrible negotiator, and hasn't truly grown out of his naivete.
But if you think about it, jayce's bad negotiating skill led to the successful creation of hextech by him meeting Viktor and the downfall of silco by just wanting jinx in exchange for the nation of Zaun.
Viktor has one of the best quotes ever in this act: "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good."
Followed by: "Let's do it right."

Im pretty sure its darius because ( this is kinda meta and cheating and not supported by theory but it makes sense as a company to do) he is in project L and if u look at the cast of the game so far they are champs from either arcane, the card game, or ruined king.

I agree joining the person who killed her father figure was strange but he would’ve killed her too if she didn’t. After that he was feeding her lies and manipulating her her whole life to keep her on his side, hence the reason he ended up in the chair when Jinx thought he was going to throw her away. Something I really liked was how when vi was trying to bring powder back, she was bringing up all the people that jinx sees as trauma. Jinx would see them as people, but then her trauma kicked in and drew over that image with a demonic version. So while vi was trying to help, she was truly only making things worse.

but they (Ekko in particular) considers *Powder* to be dead, despite Jinx just being her, he considers he completely changed as a human which is why it was the last thing he needed to show Vi attempting to convince her that Powder is gone, which is why its Powder on the mural
Yes but I think a lot happened between them in the time skip
An extra detail to Jinx's ultimate is that the further it travels, the more damage it causes. I believe this was reflected by showing her rocket changing as it traveled, like how a rocket won't cause as much damage the sooner it explodes.
They did a great job with the abilities, like vi uses her shield passive and jayce uses his abilities in his fight scene. Hopefully next season we see some Caitlyn abilities.
The butterflies were OBVIOUSLY Jinx's creation. The only other real engineer is Ekko and why would he blow himself up killing a bunch of enforcers? And she literally walks down the bridge unscathed and executing the ones still alive.
also there is a monkey drawn on the butterfly that lands on Marcus's gun
You can also see her working on them when Silco approaches her for starting shit in Piltover.

Jinx also painted the butterflies. Noone else does this.
I believe that Viktor’s leg was partly mechanical because during the transformation, he was wearing his leg brace, so it was most likely infused into his flesh into that magical, organic metal that those parts are now.
my theory is that Viktor will amputate those and replace with mechanical prosthetics since he now knows a bit of the horrors that Heimerdinger warned him about
He's just literally Runeterran Iron Man
You also hear a metal clunk when he puts his foot on the ground if i remember correctly
@@Happy-md4zy See viktor LOR splash art card. The hand still there.
The shimmer sniffing guy is actually one of the teens that fought Vi, Mylo and Claggor in the first arc.
Yeah I thought so too
oooh now that u mention it, I was wondering where did I see that bald head before!!
I highly believe too
I feel like people who missed this detail didn't really pay attention.
WHICH IS ALSO ONE OF THE ABILITIES OF SKARNER THAT IS A BRAKKEN HOLY SHIT RIOT
19:40 There is another very cool detail in this scene. When Viktor tells Jayce "you have to destroy it" Jayce looks at his hammer and says "i know" thinking thats what Viktor was talking about based on what their plans were for Hextech, when he was actually talking about the Hexcore. Pretty cool character building moment for Jayce imo
@Waxy mix jayce a bitch he backstabbed heimer 🥲
@@lilricky296 Although Heimer is the only pure white character in this story and the one who stays wise from begining to end, Jayce is totally right when he says Heimer don't understand human lifespan and i can totally feel his frustration form every time Heimer is belittling his progress on hextech. Every point he makes about Heimer rings quite true.
It also parallels them further, as they both believe their creations to be more harmful than good and both want them destroyed.
In act 2, when Victor sits at the sewer outlet contemplating his own mortality, He asks Heimerdinger if he ever thinks about death. Heimerdinger replies,
"Only the deaths of friends."
When Victor visits that same spot in act 3, he is mourning the death of a friend.
That's a good observation
I was surprised when it was revealed that Fishbones is Hextech powered. I was even more surprised when it was revealed that the warhead itself was made from "conventional" explosives. Looks like the Hextech was used as a propellant force for the rocket, not as a warhead. Makes sense, as "conventional" warheads of that size should not be able to make it all the way from the bay area up to the high council room (with great accuracy). A great detail added by writers.
And also, you don't need a Hextech Core for each shot ;) Which would be impossible
Maybe the Hextech is why it takes mana in game while her minigun doesn't
Since she was using jayce's notes to make it, I wonder if it uses a mini hexgate to launch the explosive, since it makes it go in a straight line similar to it
In Vi and Sevika’s fight, Vi flipping a table and punching it towards Sevika is a reference to a line in Vi’s theme “Have you ever really wanted to be, a total rebel flipping tables on the enemy”
Also she pays back Sevika, who was punching a barrel towards Vi in the first fight.
I thought that was a piano lol
@@teamakesgames I believe it was the billiards table that was shown at the start of the scene.
I've been thinking about this for days, glad to see someone else noticed too
5:35 I'd like to point out that it seemed to me like Silco took a very deep breath before Sevika released the gas in the room.
I know it's kinda obvious, but I am still surprised you didn't mention this:
When Jinx shows up in the mirror behind Caitlyn, this is also the first time we see her eyes as purple/pink. Each of their respective hair color being the opposites eye color, each going a different path.
yeah messing with Vis waifu was crossing a line there was no coming back from.
One thing to add, in Jinx’s original splash art she has purple/pink eyes, as opposed to her natural blue in the show. I think that’s a great way to connect the tiny detail of her eyes having the color change due to shimmer.
Jinx solo’s runeterra cmm
Until you discover kindred and others(if you still don't know though)
worst thing is that there are no psychatrists and therapists in place like Zaun....she really never had a chance, I have been diagnosed with bipolar with psychotic features but the amount of things that Jinx probably has is just horrible, and all this is totally untreated, I canonly imagine how confusing and loud it is in her head , how paranoid she is and show did great job showsing us her point of viw....like she doesnt really see people like they are, how she has scratched out traumatic memories.... , also voiceactor was amazing,
What makes it even worse is Jinx is still Powder deep down as much as she denies it because she resents being that "helpless little girl" in an alley crying for her big sister to come back to her!
VI's theme had this line "Have you ever really wanted to be a total rebel flipping tables on the enemy?"
She then goes on to flip (and smash) a pool table into Sevika.
Love it
> Also during the full shot of Fishbones' reveal, you can see that it doesn't have belt straps around the neck compared to the one in her splash arts. So it is most likely after that overcharging, the barrel broke due to the immense pressure and Jinx would later reinforce it with durable materials and strap it with belts to tighten it to avoid bursting
> When Sevika is tuning and repairing her arm, you may notice that she removed the broken shoulder pad that houses the pumping mechanism for the shimmer and it was beside her.
You sound like an engineer.
If you read Urgot's bio it says he was sent to Pilltover to hunt someone from Noxus who challenged the ruling party. Even though this was Madam Medarda's son she did say whoever killed her son would not stop till their entire family was dead. So even though in his bio his mission doesn't go as planned I think its likely we may see or atleast get a refence to Urgot in Season 2
Also while this is a weak connection Fiddlesticks tends to hunt in areas of great fear and paranoia. I do believe before moving to Demacia due to the mage rebellion, his prior hunting ground could've been Piltover/Zaun because of the high tension between the two cities and both fearing the outcomes of war. This would explain why the crows are seen in areas on Zaun where we see no other natural life
Urgot's mission wasn't actually real in the first place. His bio states that it was a set up just to get him out of the way.
Will riot make shows of all these plots.
Something I just realized is that her speed shown when she disarms Caitlyn and knocks her down in the final episode is totally a reference to her “Get Excited” passive. Now it explains where she gets all of that speed from!!!

Yes! Shimmer can increase the speed of individuals who have it in their system. We have seen that a couple times in the show.

The same way he was enduring the pain of breathing the poisoned air just to indimidate the Barons, you can see he was being afected by the air because he took a breath with the mask before handing it to Fin and Sevika quickly ventilates the room after Silco made his scene, if he was "imune" to the heavy air, they could just leave it there, since every one else was already masked.
yeah i agree. he even asked Sevika "were you tempted?" knowing she could have killed him and he couldnt have stopped her.
I dont think he doesn't know what was happening, but he was making a gamble. He knew that they were attempting a coup and that they roped Sevika into it. He doesn't know the end result of that and whether Sevika will go along with them or if she will listen to his loyalty speech.
He took a puff of air. That could easily just be him toying with Finn even more.
I really believe that Mel's family is now fighting Swain. They can't defeat him and will be forced to move to Piltover.
I'm not too well versed in Katarina's lore, but could it be her fam hunting the Medardas?
That makes sense, considering all the ravens they've shown around the show.
I really think that mel will safe all council members by activating her golden "artifacts" she is wearing all the time and that she isnt really from Noxus.
The 3 demons Jinx sees are Vander, Clagger and Milo, you see them first then they get covered in that scribble to look like the monsters tormenting her
The red one even has the googles and the blue has big eyebrows lol
The 3 members of her family that she killed as a result of her actions
Yep, I also thought that was pretty obvious

I thought the same, she doesn kill Cait and she also doednt take Vis gauntlets for some reason

To the theorie of singed being ORIannas father: ORI and RIO are suspiciously equal
Not only that, but Singed's daughter's name is Anna, Rio + Anna = Orianna
@@NnjaChurch Holy fuck, it all makes sense now 😮
My very first thought when Singed mentioned he once had a daughter too was "oh fuck, this is another Shou Tucker".

@@NnjaChurch how do we know his daughter's name
Silco truly cared when he tried to shoot Vi during the dinner scene, not because Jinx might help Vi but because Silco thinks he was hurting her for mentioning things in the past that traumatized her. Because honestly I don't think yelling words at Jinx that trigger her ptsd will help her any way except make it worse but Vi wouldn't know that and just wanted to see "Powder" again.
And she wanted to save caitlyn
if i remember right silco never tried to get jinx on his side durning that sequence, he only told jinx not to lisen to vi witch do support your theory
Also, I don't think Jinx shot Silco because she want to protect Vi. It's just a simple reflex as she can't even tell who is who during that time
Or maybe he was afraid to lose all the work he put into her, so he took the matter into his own hands and tried to solve the issue his way.
Yeah, no doubt in my mind that it’s ww at this point.
What is she now
You're missing so much about ekko in the fight.
It’s subtle as heck without a single word of dialogue and goes to show how good the animators are
I think they were implying he already has the Z drive, so he can't fail.
Detail you missed, vi originally told powder "we will show them all"
When silco said that he became a replacement vi
Edit: I also forgot to mention when she killed silco, it's like she killed replacement Vi; like she killed her support blanket.
omg
8:40 I mean, it's extremely clear who sent them... It's Jinx... we see her working on these butterflies in episode 4. And I don't understand how people can even associate them with Ekko, they're butterflies, Ekko animals are firelights, their completely different visually.
And don't forget the Jinx monkey on the wings
And the fact that pyrotechnics are Jinx's whole thing. Pretty explosions are her calling card, how could it be anyone else?
He knows that. He said that at this moment you might not know or toss this fact aside as non-important if you're on your first watch.
I very much agree with your take on the crows
I disagree on Victor. Throughout act 2-3 he consistently uses the crutch on his left side, same in that final scene with Sky's ashes, and it's correct because you use a crutch on the opposite of your weak leg. He only used his right hand to hold his cane in act 1, which I honestly don't understand.
The idea that the glowing armor Mel is wearing could be a form of Zhonya’s Hourglass is so cool… I seriously hope that’s what happened
There is actually a reference in scene with Jayce and Silco. When the Jayce accepts a conditions Silco says
"he didn't even bargain" reference of
1 act when ekko gave him double price for illegal items. 😃
I love this! Good spot
One thing that really bothered me that I didn't understand is why Renni's son was working in the shimmermine. She's a wealthy individual, and her son would probably be too young to have a position of command. I can't think of a reason why he'd had to be there.
Thank you
Probably the leader of the kids in that factory which was operated by the mom.
i think it was to show how corrupt the barons were. Made the viewer think about just how out of touch they were with their own people.
The same reason how he got blasted by Jayce, felt from ~20m height and was still alive for the 20 minutes while Jayce was slowly walking down the stairs: it was made to bait our emotions and cause creators thought it would look cool, but in reality it just looks absurd
I thought of that too. Maybe some of the kids there are his friends? Or he's curious about the family business, maybe?
He has to do brutal things to secure the runes which makes sense- each of them is like a nuclear bomb, maybe worse.

Mel sensed Jinxs rocket. The flash of Mel's gold could not have been just for show. With four minutes left in the final episode, after Jayce looks at her and smiles, she glances to her left with a look of concern. She looks to her right with that same face after gold flashes.
i thought that the ring has her family symbol on it and with taking it off she wants to part ways with her mother and family for good
Jayce is looking literally RIGHT at the rocket, its impossible he doesn't notice it first.
I want to believe this just because I want to see Swain in S2
@@garou9914 yeah i think it would be an awesome transition between regions as well
i don't know who swain is as arcane has got me into the lore of LOL (not the actual game, looks boring from my stand point) but after reading your theory it sounds like a pretty awesome storyline
(Heck there's a whole shot of the bullet soaring and impacting the chair)
as well as the barrel of the gun smoking
Imagine if Silco hadn't missed. Jinx would have lost both of them at the same time. Oof.
There is also a hole above her shoulder in the chair
wasnt that from jinx minigun?
When Jinx hallucinated Vender, he had Warwick outlines around him
no necrit just shows the most obvious things and will show some minor interesting details
I think he just rush the video out fast cuz there are alot of content he has to cover. Anyway, we got his back.
Wow nice catch! Plus gold is THE color of Piltover so it symbolizes her choosing to make Piltover her new family/home.
@@callanthemeryllia252 I thought it was symbolizing Solari reveal but you may be right it might be simply picking Pilty over Noxus
Silco actually got the shot off he just missed. The gun was smoking after he got shot and there is a hole in Vi's chair.
@@SahilP2648 oh damn kk thanks for the info, hopefully it holds up well against a rocket lmao
Must be some kind of Noxian magic she took with her when her family casted her out. It's probably some kind of warning system with a built in shield in the event she's attacked.
Just a spitball guess.
@@DwyTheGuy you mean "hopefully not", right?
@@infinityscorner8473 lmao sure, why you don’t like Mel ehh?
This is just something i noticed at the end:
Mel most likely has a unique ability that protects her.
I'm thinking she may be a mage.
13:29 I can't be the only one thinking of Zac and Rammus
also in 19:52, the original quote was much more impactful than what you summarized here.
And jinx killed Silco, so she screwed it up anyways.

There was one thing I noticed, and thats when Jinx is having her final melt down, vanders image gets drawn over with a very wolf like apperance.
Another interesting thing to think about is that, at the end of the season you can see Mel react before the rocket charges up, and the moment the chimes are played, she turns around. Maybe she has some sort of magical power that saves some of the council members and Jayce.
she had Zhonya's :P
@@saphcal She's too op. She has a man's heart and zhonya's. She can't be stopped now😂
If you look closely at the scene where Silco was talking to Vander's statue, you can see Jinx's hair on the back. Its a bit easy to miss but it's there. The damn details in this series is astounding.
8:40
The drawings on the insects' wings matches the face of the monkey, just... cut out to the parts that would fit on the wings themselves.
What is the story behind inspiration?
considering how Riot can't seem to decide what to do with inspiration in game it's kinda fitting
Isn’t the inspiration rune with Nunu & Willump?
@@Piel Yes, but that doesn't explain why isn't it in the hexcore
It’s got to be urgot right. Urgot goes in and gets captured by Voss
I love how you can see the rocket open up and prime so that it can do more damage just like how in game it does more damage the longer it travels
I think that the scene where Jinx removed the cloche at the dinner table may have been a reference to Batman: Death of the Family
she reveals that she wasn't hiding anything disturbing/bloody under it and says that she's "not THAT crazy", hinting at the fact that she's not as far gone as the Joker (yet, anyways)

Before Jinx fires Fishbones a violet tear flows down her cheek. The same thing happens to Silco the first time Jinx injected him with shimmer in episode 4
Fishbones has an odd eye just like Silco.
Silco is probably my favorite character. He isn't really a villain there's also no hero it's all morally grey
He was a good dad though.
Comments like these makes me understand why forceful altering and gaslighting works.
Been thinking this since I saw act 3 too.
But what does she have to do with lightning and how would she be a marksman when he preferred weapons are fists and swords.
the next 2 champs in line were pulled from Arcane during development and will be releasing early 2022, the roadmap says they didnt fit in with the "event" which is 100% Arcane.
- Elora is actually LeBlanc in disguise
- Elora might be a Black Rose Spy
- Elora is Camille??? (I've seen one on Reddit)
- Mel is LeBlanc???
13:53 is my favourite meme to come out of the Arcane series so far
The 3 demons that jinx imagines towards the end of the last episode are not his parents and vi, but they are mylo claggor and vander, vander's demon also looks like a wolf 25:00
Jinx's character design is the best ive seen on decades.
Though she looks psychotic, her eyes are drawn in such a way that it ignites piety, and it also shows that behind all those madness, theres still Powder. Even Ekko fell for it.
Can’t believe that you didn’t notice during jinx’s hallucinations Vander had Warwick outlines around him
The monster hallucinations in the end were Vander, Milo and Claggor. They were seen just the shot before. I also noticed that the monster reprecenting Vander looked a lot like Warwick.
Also, in Silco's last moments, we can see that jinx's eyes slowly loose their pink color, before getiing it back when she is contemplating jinx's chair
And actually silco actually fired at vi, he just missed, we can see it with the hole in the chair where she was seating and smokes coming out from the gun
