I have noticed sometimes 1st especially will take a liitle more push to get into gear. I just go these for my 2019 accord sport. Excited to put them in this weekend.
Dude I totally struggled with the cable clips on my Type R. I accidentally dropped one in the engine bay, unfortunately I wasn't able to find it because the bottom of the Type R is sealed and didn't have a lift to remove the under tray. So I had to order a new clip. But the upgrade was totally worth it
Heyyyy! First all your installation are so so so solid my man, thank you for the work ! Quick question: I didn’t remove the metal clip at the end of the cable lane( the one you knock with wooden hammer handle) and still finish the installation is there any different? Should I do it again just to remove the clip and put it on again ? Thanks ! Looking forward to your reply
I really am interested in getting the acuity short shifter and whatnot I just got the tsp stage one and the prl with race maf loving having fun modding this car
Cray Cray I would of gone Awe but it comes with a front pipe and I already have a PRL front pipe and the Awe exhaust won’t work on any other front pipe.
Chris Lowpes thanks for the reply. I was thinking if I should do that mod to mine just rolled over 20,000 miles on it 18si. Also do you think just doing the bushing and not the box will make a difference? I don’t know why Honda would want to delay the shifting engagements and also program the rev hang. Like what the hell was that engineer thinking especially in a car that is geared towards sport car.
What really helps the rev hang is if you get Ktuner. Just doing the bushings will definitely help the oem shifter. If the Acuity Shifter assembly if out of the question get the base bushings and the rocker arm with the shifter bushings. You will have a way better shifter.
@@cesarsarmiento3554I found out later that it was partially due to me shifting right below the acceptable rev range. Sadly my 2018 SI bit the dust when somebody T-boned me on an interstate. I now own an EM1 and I've encountered the same problem on a 5-speed now. My problem was as I was used to the 3k sweet spot a non-vtec engine has.

I was able to install the bushings without removing the clips that hold the cables. It was a piece of cake👌
Nice!!
Magnetic pick up tool is a great thing to pick up dropped bolts, pins ect that you cant reach by hand.

Yea man they are a pain in the ass and trust me I always drop something when working in the bay....lmao!
Where did you buy the extra clip
@TORQ Toolbox
just installed on my type R, feels more solid but overall not a huge difference. Next install is the acuity short shifter :)

Just make sure the clip is on properly and not loose and you should be good! Thanks for watching!
Deleting the CDV helped a LOT for me
Yea I think I’m going to do it soon!

This seems like a very helpful and useful Acuity mod
Stanced Evolution yea it makes a nice difference for a inexpensive mod
When installing the acuity cable bushing do we need also to greese them?
Acuity shifter base bushings work better than these and also advise an MDP clutch pedal brace.
Thank you for the video. Installing mine tomorrow.
do you have a video detailing your engine bay?
Dear god, it was a pain in the butt to remove the cable holders, also praise the sun for the screwdriver & hammer.
Fellow type R how are ya KILLED ME 😂😂lmaoo
Lmaoooo
Bushings did help slightly with smoother shifting! But I think what I’m gonna do is change the fluid to amsoil!
Thats a good idea! I may have to do it as well
Was it honestly worth the 70 bucks? I already have the short shifter. Looking to remove as much bind as I can when I'm doing dig races
Honestly it helps with quick shifting the most, if you want to maximize the best shifting it will help a bit
Awe exhaust next or what Chris lol

Chris Lowpes do you experiencing high knock control on your car?
Really good content

Tengo un civic si 2020 4 puestas quiero aserle eso pero tengo miedo q no lo pueda aser 😅😅😅
Stock airbox needs to be removed, unless you have an aftermarket CAI/SRI
Where do you live that 7° is hot 😂, unless you're in like canada and you're talking Celsius which is like... 40-45 F?
Yea I’m in Canada 😂
Most people say the don’t make a difference
it didnt really its okay not worth the 70 bucks..
LMAO! I dropped the pin as well when I tried putting them on as well
Lmfao I feel your pain 😂
@@ChrisLowpes i managed to drop the retainers for the bushings luckly it landed on top of the splash shield and managed to tap it and get it out.
Freddy Elias your so lucky!
@@ChrisLowpes yep

Have you taken out the delay valve in the slave cyl?
Wess Reiley no I have not but I heard it helps!

Check your links. Some aren't working.
I’ll double check them. Thank you!!
I'm having a grind from 1-2nd on turns and hills, I'm told this will fix that. Any truth? I know I'm giving it enough clutch.
I’ll be 100% honest I’m not sure. It’s a great mod non the less for a good price. It definitely won’t hurt
I have the same problem! Have any solutions ?
