There is supposed to be a rubber o-ring under that boot to hold it up. I used a cable tie instead when I did my manual swap. FYI, that K-tuned (adjustible) counterfeit shifter has a tendency to break. It is nice having the shifter closer to the steering wheel, though. Blue is my favorite color.
Hi Charles, yes my o-ring is long gone, thanks for the heads up on the shifter extension. Keep it in mind if I ever use it. Yeah the blue I used is my favorite color and lucky all the eBay parts come in that blue
Yeah true... I lost most of the footage, halfway into the video I had to buy new camera gear to continue. coz i'm from South Africa, and here you get robbed with a gun for a phone.
@@RisingBoostYT its cool mate. I just bought a Honda Civic 1998. Also got a D15 setup. Do you have IG or something. I'd like some advice on things i can do to not make it fast but a nice daily driver at the same time with a sexy clean engine bay. So if you can give me details on any bolt on mods i can do to the engine without having to atler anything then please i'd love that
@@RisingBoostYT thank you! Not planning on spending thousands of pesos for my daily because of inflation + honda tax is obnoxious here in the Philippines lol.
@xknut for a daily it's fine, the design is exactly like OEM, just has a shorter throw. The new bearings on the shifter also helps. Replacing your plastic shifter bushing also helps if you have play in the shifter now
Hi Stefanzo, in my case yes, my clutch master cylinder was leaking slightly, also felt a but strange, car did not like shifting at 7000rpm to the next gear, after I changed it out the shifting is now working perfectly.

The small grub screws let go after a while too! The tighter you try and screw them in the harder they are to get out when they fail.
would've been nice if you showed the installation process as well

Merry Christmas Boost!!!
Thank you! Same to you!
Great video! ❤ Does the Skunk 2 knob fit Honda cars only?
Hi, it does fit some other cars also, especially older japanese cars, but not all cars.
Great!
Hi AG, Glad you found it helpful!
Hello! Any update with the short shifter after a year? Still using it?
@xknut yes, I'm still using it. No issues to report. A bit more flex than the steel one, but not noticeable under normal driving.

@@RisingBoostYT Thanks! That's what I was planning on doing.
Nice one🔥💯
Thanks Frias!
@@RisingBoostYT you're welcome brother, that's why we're here to support you🤝🤝💯
Does it work for ex 94 ?
Hi, yes, this will work for all manual EG and EK civics
Hmmm. So the master cylinder fixed the high rpm shifting?
Hi Stefanzo, in my case yes, my clutch master cylinder was leaking slightly, also felt a but strange, car did not like shifting at 7000rpm to the next gear, after I changed it out the shifting is now working perfectly.
