Bruh, 🍻 cheers. Excellent tutorial. Attention to detail, the focused presentation. Ihad watched 3 other videos and learned nothing. Very confusing. Thanks for being thorough..
I followed the video, and it took a day for me to do the job. sweat :) The hard part was to take the alternator out and put it back in. I amlost gave up, but I came back to watch the vidol again and tred the exact angle to giet it out. Finally it came out. The limited space to work on bolts and nuts really sucks. For the other car Toyota camry, I got the job done in half an hour. Great thanks to the video.
Thank you soooo much! My alternator went out and left me stranded. I got a replacement and started to take the old one out and I got to that plastic pulley in the way of the bottom bolt and gave up figuring I would have to pull half the motor out to get that bolt out. I had no clue it just sat in a fitting and that you could remove that plastic pulley! Typically you can’t remove those pulleys without breaking them or having to replace the whole unit! Im pretty sure I can do it now after watching your video gonna give it another shot tmrw after work! Thank you! You have helped me IMMENSELY Appreciate you posting this video your a lifesaver.
Any tips on removing the upper mounting bolt on the alternator easily ?? I have no leverage or play room whatsoever to loosen that upper bolt . Day 2 no progress . PLEASE HELP !!
@2EZEverything holy crap! There is a nut? There wasn't one on when I just changed this alternator. There's like, a bushing, but no nut. So I guess the previous owner didn't replace it, or it worked itself off. And to make matters worse, I just did the replacement, and drove a hundred fifty miles out of town. Where does one find an alternator nut? So you know the size and threads?
Also... did you get my post on my 04 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi? My AC was working fine, as long as I was on the highway. But around town or sitting still, it was completely non-working... no cold air, just hot. I vacuumed the system. I was going to replace the condenser fan and recharge the system. So after it was on vacuum, I tried to charge with refrigerant. But nothing will go in... not even from the pressure on the can. I can see from the glass window on guages that nothing is going in. When I pushed on the low pressure port stem, it hissed. So I know it's not blocked.
But, he forgot to say whether or not he unplugged his battery, and he forgot to take that wheel well panel off. That's why he fought with getting it back in

thank you i need to do this for my sisters jeep next week. not looking forward to it lol i wish they would just put it at the top of the engine bay
You probably won't answer for 3 weeks😅😅😅 but it's there a nut on the back of the bottom bolt of alternator?
Yes there is but it should have a arm on the nut to keep it from spinning while you turn the bolt

How much is the labor this job.
Is easy if you pull the alternator from the back of the a/c compressor.
Good job

Help can't get the alternator out like you did
No, I'm out....out of my comfort zone. Thank you for the video though
