Except for the Micarta scales, isn't this the "Fox baby CORE" knife? The knife profile and wire clip appear to be similar. Alas, all I can sanely afford is neither a "Suru" or a "CORE", but only a "Pilar"!
Do you seriously see the same thing when looking at those two knives? Honest question. The handle profile and blade is quite a bit different. They both have a blade with a ton of belly, but that hardly makes them twins. If we're forcing similarities, I'd say the core looks closer to a f5.5 than this, but even that's a stretch.
Yes there is some similarities with baby core but this is because it is designed by the same knife maker. More important is that baby core was positioned in the more affordable price range with the plastic scales then they made more versions with micarta CF and titanium the size of the baby core is similar the difference is only 0.5cm 0.2 inches so I understand why they look similar for me personally I prefer the model Yaru which is a little bit larger version. For some reason, Jens does like to design small sub 15cm/6'' knives I would prefer larger knives like Ace Grand which is probably my favorite knife he designed with Jens Anzo.
@@nerv5th ...ah, the "Ace Grand Giant Mouse" comes in Micarta, but also above a hundred "grand" (like the "Suru") but in a bigger size. I am sure all knives need to be experienced in hand vs. watching them on the Internet or in a catalog to appreciate a designer's art.
@@bmoviebmovie Yes I agree so far the Ace Grand for me is one of the best sub 300$ EDC knives I just wish they would offer just other micarta scales for it there is one version that was a dealers exclusive with beautiful brown burlap Micarta scales and acid washed blade that would be my preferred choice not that this stonewashed elmex version is bad also there is a regular production version with brown canvas micarta scales just it has satin finish blade and that is not so great because it shows all the fingerprints and smudges and that just bothers me. Anyway, I will be still searching for other nice micarta knives.

Same designer, Jesper Voxnaes. All of his designs share similar features and profiles, but no, Suru and Core are 100% different knives
