No Copyright Infringement Intended
It’s pretty incredible how the Japanese had so many military successes with “although well made” out dated equipment. They were so behind the ball “even though they had some” didn’t even field a simple sub machine gun in significant quantity.
Great video. Thanks :)
Very nice vid. Thx
Shisei Type Hei is probably one of the best looking early automatic rifles
it reminds me of the M14
to me it looks like it has the same lines as a M1 carbine with a huge mag
ScreamingSturmovik Pity it wasn't any good.
i cant find anything on the Type Hei Semi auto rifle
are you sure about the date for the shisei typehei rifle it matchs a howa project lmg from the early 50s described as having a sloped shield and cooling finns on the barrel
That " Murata" rifle looks so damn familiar, copy of a Remington-Lee but with a 5 round magazine maybe?
is the Type Hei-Manual even real?
Another great video! Also where do you find these great musical pieces from?
youtube
and what are the name of these musical pieces ?
@@dincaloooww0372 Looks like cheap copy of Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture on certain parts
Are self loading rifles basically semi automatic rifles?
no, its any semi or fully automatic rifle , its an old term used in ww1 to describe any automatic rifle

+bertisevil666 it might be

Hiragana writing for the Shisei Type Hei rifle so i can google it.

jmantime just wondering why couldn't they use that rifle instead of the Type 5 Garand?
Zaveid Shisei Type Hei was basically a full-auto Pedersen rifle since the original Hei rifle was a copy of the Pedersen and the Pedersen rifle was not that reliable, - the Japanese abandoned this project for the Type 96 and 99 lmg's
The "Shisei" (Pederson rifle) competed against the Garand in US trials, and was found to be less reliable and the fact that the cartridges had to be lubricated to function properly created an extra hassle

So a Murata rifle would be considered an antique, and ownable without a license, in the state of Massachusetts?
yeah , its over 100 years old and is chambered for an uncommon round
Interesting. But as I commented previously, strictly WW1 era stuff. Like the1500's era Volunteer matchlock! You' d be volunteering for a one way passage to eternity.
Matchlock Rifle was a last ditch weapon made for civilian militia's , but I don't think it was actually used in combat
@@jmantime I thought they were from the Boshin war.
@@zilikam2nd433 there were some Boshin War era weapons used by last ditch Japanese militias.
@@jmantime I see, that's interesting that they used them.

so the americans stole the design of the m14 from the japanese (shisei type hei) btw they had so much sami-automatic guns and a fully automatic rifle and all that before the ww2 so why didn't they use them?
Japanese high command was full of old-school idealist who thought that the average soldier only needed a bolt-action rifle and a pistol
jmantime why didn't they give them muskets and swords instead of arisakas and nambus? that's a foolish thinking a good army must have too much choices of weapons and young generals not an out dated generals and weapons,i'm agree with the dudes below what's the point from developing weapons if they're not going to use them?their navy and their air force didn't do much in the end of the war (they developed some jet bombers and some jet fighters and even they made some prototypes such as ki-200 and kitsuka and so on but that wasn't enough to stop the americans from advancing) they had lost the war because they didn't read the history books same with the french army during ww1 they had some superiority because of their fleet of tanks but in ww2 they didn't develop anything almost all of their tanks was a ww1 technology the only decent tank that they had and can do something against the germans was the b1 bis (fcm f1 and the other ugly super heavy tanks were garbage)and the rest was useless, they didn't even change their uniform and many of ft 17s was in service........no wonders hitler squashed them in weeks just like poland they got defeated by the germans because they got stuck with the ww1 style the world is changing each commander must know that if he wanna a successful army.
Zonda Zerda Lol you know absolutely nothing
A. The shisei thype hei was a japanese version of the Pederson rifle, a western (European) design
B. The Pederson rifle and Japanese prototypes/derivatives share almost nothing in common with the m14
C. The Pederson rifle came around about the same time as the M1 Garand (and competed against it in US trials) and in practice was pretty much comparable to the M1 except it was less reliable and required cartridges to be lubricated to function properly
+jmantime nah japan dont used smg/ semi auto rifle cause they cant made enough ammo that the reason they love bolt action + aslo some guy that dont like new tech but mostly about logitic
inoue jerry
nice.
i cant find anything on the Type Hei Semi auto rifle
