Beautiful explanation.. in very simplified way..
Thanks a lot Bheti🙏
A warm welcome to this series-i was hoping for this as i am interested in hindustani classical music. It would be great if you could cover some well known ragas in your next videos with all the relevant details.Notation of bandishes as the one provided here will be highly appreciated as i am teaching music to a junior class here in Australia. Please sing the notation as you have done here-it will make learning and teaching easier for many. Thanks.
Heavenly voice sweet melody .. Hindustani classical is romantic soft... sends listeners to sleep , inaction lethargy and trance. That's why the mughals could conquer north India , our kings soldiers citizens were into too much of love romance dance easy life. Mughals marched in and ....we know what happened then , they left then British conquered us ...
But, did they? Really? In the long term cultural and ethnical majorities will prevail, don't they?
Thank you
Waiting for next session.

Mam, even though I have a good voice I'm unable to sing properly with the feel required for the song....the issue with me is that I'm hesitating to open up my voice...when I sing high pitch I unknowingly control my throat how ever I try I'm unable to over come that. Can you suggest any tips or solution for this, please.

Raag bhairav and kafi have all 7 swaras.,
I know western music little bit.. I'm confused why someri aroharana and avaroharana are different. They say they are ascending, descending. Can anyone explain more this?
Western Music doesn't really have the concept of Aroha and Avaroha. Aroha and Avaroha stand for ascending and descending, but both are often (not always) different. You often (not always) play/sing a set of notes while ascending, but a different set of notes while descending. Furthermore, you also don't have the concept of Raag in the West.
What is same between Indian Classical and Western Classical is the concept of Scales. A scale in Western Classical is exactly the same as Thaat in Indian Classical.
So there is an entire Hindustani section now on the app?
Amazing. Just amazing to dive into culture. So complex !
