I am in a place where there are no Indian peoples near me and the few there are, I do not know personally and cannot just walk up and ask: "Mujhse Dosti Karoge!?" no matter how much I want too... hehehe; my culture is really ... a smorgasbord of influences... and I freakin love this channel and Carnatic music! I love that I can consume this content from very skilled Carnatic voice coaches! I try this in my car and room alone, but I feel beautiful when I try it :)

And even low was also sounding too bad.. A lot hard work to sing better it happened to me today in the church...😭... നന്ദി മാം, ദയവായി മറുപടി നൽകുക.. ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ എൻ്റെ നല്ല ഗുരുവിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ

Thank you so much for this video! I had a belief that the gamakas found in the arohana and avarohana of a raga are what sets the rules for raga's use in all situations. However, you stated at the end that a composition may have additional gamakas. So, are the gamakas that are found in the arohana and avarohana mandatory whenever those swaras are present for every raga? Or can a new gamaka be added to a specific swara in a raga that is different from what is found in the arohana and avarohana?

There are many ways of singing Arohanam and Avarohanam itself. What we sang here is the standard version. But in various compositions we come across other types of Gamakas based on the sequence of notes. Sometimes even for simple ascent and descent we could use more complex Gamakas. That’s the reason we learn several compositions to explore more possibilities of Gamakas. Infact Gamakas of Arohanam and avarohanam is not something pre defined or fixed in music theory. It has been derived only based on analysing various compositions and finding certain standard usages.
