She has explained the types, situations and combinations very well to understand the nuances of MUSIC! But you seem to be a class above for your pungent remarks! God bless you.
Anuja Kamat is a true representation of Beauty with Brains! Not many performing artists have the talent to express and convey their knowledge in such a profound way! She has in depth wisdom at such a young age! I was extemely pleased to know that she is the Music Consultant for Bandish Bandit on Amazon Prime! Kudos Anuja Kamat and you will definitely reach great heights!!!!!!!!! God bless!!!!!!!!!
Anuja.. I saw saregamapa episode 2 2009 where you were eliminated by judges. Suresh wadker. I believe you stand bigger and shine brighter than all winners of Saregamapa...The way you breathe music is remarkable ...Hats off ...
Anuja is a genius in musicology. She is indeed a national treasure. She is so knowledgeable and yet so humble. Her concluding comment says it all. “Music is not to impress but to express”.
I FEEL SORRY FOR YOUR IGNORANCE ANUJA KAMAT 😑👎 RBAAB is NOT Afghanistani musical instrument!! 😡 RBAAB WAS CREATED BY GURU NAANAK DEV JI OF INDIA. AND ITS VERY WELL KNOWN. Can not believe your poor knowledge and that you showed your poor knowledge to the whole world in TedTalk. 🙄🙄 The music director of the film used RBAAB to make the music of that song to show that area's music because that's a similar instrument used in that area as well. 😑
Please don't stop your music channel. You are very resourceful, knowledgeable and confident. You have very good communicational skills both in rendering music and it's demonstration through lecture. Your demonstration is priceless and English is simple and matchless.

What a profound statement. " Use music as a channel to express instead of impress"... WoW. Perhaps all the arrogant Vidwans/ Vidushi's/Ustads/ Pandits of yester and current years can learn a thing or two! Well said Ms. Kamath!
I watched this video again. Anuja does know a lot about music from other countries. Not many do. She can be a really good composer in addition to being a singer, reach another new level of creativity by blending themes from other countries. Some composers have done it, but Anuja’s knowledge could scale new heights.
She is such a talented girl. Even her eyes sing, her hand gestures are singing and when she talks it still seems that she is singing. A music angel sent by God.
Hope she comes back to UA-cam because her storytelling is so captivating and she gives gems which makes music so much sense, can see her passion in that beautiful smile

Awani Dwivedi Most South Indians don’t speak Hindi or Marathi. English appeals a larger audience. Besides, she was talking about music in general and not just Hindustani music.

Brilliant presentation..!! It shows how much depth u have in the subject.. Great comment that music as an art form is there to express, not to impress..!!
What gives music its true identity is expressing your unstoppable emotions. A villager woman falling in virah of her husband may naturally give birth to a new composition, local flavour, which then rises to folk music to commercial to different variations given by musicians & generations to come. But it is fundamentally rooted to deep emotions at its inception with very localised flavour.
So lovely to hear you in English, Anujaji. I'm still learning Hindi and Hindustani classical music but now I'm going yearly Filipines so Tagalog taking my focus. Beautiful voice! Growing up, I have the same scepticism about the statement "Music is a universal language"--it so is not! Only Western pop stars with global chart-toppers say that, but it doesn't quite apply to local world musicians the same way. Sending love from Indonesia.
