Sabaton's music is incredible. Their choices tend to be about heroic actions which occurred in war. Must see songs are 40-1 live at Woodstock (audience of 500,000+), Night Witches (The music video will make you tear up) and 82nd All the Way (the story of Alvin York). They have so many great stories. I could go on and on.
@@TheThamesmen I think Joachim, the lead singer, once said We could have sung a bunch of love songs like everyone else. We wanted to find something different.
Its not really about heroic actions but more of war stories and important "events" in war (also in Sweden for their album) as they've said, a lot aren't about people or really heroic, also I think it's spelled Joakim.
Can you check out the track nightwitches. But here’s the thing. Start with the animated story version followed by the live version. Also worth checking out the Sabaton history channel after every track you hear
For live videos of Sabaton, there are two songs one has to do: "Ghost Divison" "40:1" both from Woodstock (Poland) with an insane crowd and sich an energy. Another great experience of what a live sow by them can be: "En Livstid I Krig" (A lifetime of war) from Gothenburg - The Great Tour Downtempo but maximum crowd interaction which will give you goosebumps all over the body. Another "live"-banger: "Great War" --> The official video has footage from their "Great Tour" --> It shows beside backstage footage also the insame amount of pyro they use --> Live from Oberhausen is worth watching as well Another must see, but not live: "No Bullets Fly" Animated Story Video --> The song has a heartbreaking story and in this you'll get to know the story: As video and also with the real persons / soldiers of that story: Be prepared to get goosebumps and maybe even tear up
I agree with the above, but would just add Nightwitches also Animated story video. Live: Uprising (From Woodstock in Poland). About En livstid i Krig remember to put on Subtitles for that extra.
For live Sabaton check out' En Livstid I Krig' live in Gothenberg. Its about the 30 year war. An emotional song and also have subtitles on to appreciate. Also check out Sabatons own history channel aswell.
Yes, Woodstock festival Poland 2012 is an amzing show, altho I'd say check "Uprising" and "40:1" first, songs about Polish soldiers in front of half a million Polish people. At Wacken 2019 they used both stages part of the show, they brought old members back (and more) for their 20th anniversary. If you check something from Wacken, I think "Swedish Pagans" and "Price of a mile" are 2 good choices. Be careful with the Wacken videos tho, it seems they're been blocked quite frequently. ... and No this video was not clips from a movie, they did a collaboration with Wargaming, the gaming company behind World of Warships.
@@TheThamesmen But be carefull Wacken videos tends to get copyright strikes to youtube reaction chanels. Anything on official Sabaton chanel is OKed by band FYI.
@@TheThamesmen note also that they've had quite a few lineup changes. Floor's husband Hannes joined in late 2013, so the Woodstock Poland concert has Robban Bäck on drums. He's good, but Hannes is my favorite Sabaton drummer.
You should check out Sabaton's history channel on UA-cam. They get experts in to talk about the stories behind their songs, and it's fascinating. Oh, and they are another band that do brilliant thought provoking videos, but are even better live. A few years ago they were running out of inspiration, so they asked their fans for interesting stories to write about, and the fans came through for them. My personal favourite is "Attack of the Dead Men". A very Interesting story, and a wonderful song.
@@TheThamesmen You've no idea what you're getting in to.... 😄 Sabaton AND Nightwish?! Congrats, you've got a full time job!!😂🤘 I'm so looking forward to this!
dont sleep on their "Sabaton History" -channel too, where the actual history behind the songs is explained by one of the greatest narrators (imo) Indy Neidell :)
There's also a US battleship in North Carolina called the USS North Carolina, it's really bloody fantastic to go and tour it! Sabaton are amazing and I adore that they've found this niche in doing Historical songs. Check out their latest single with electric cellist Tina Guo called Steel Commanders.
You REALLY want to do Ghost division from their Woodstock performance. Watching the most epic opener in music history in front of 600 THOUSAND people is something you'll never forget!!!!
Hannes is the tall one. He's been with Sabaton since 2013. The old guys is the grandson of the guys they pulled from the water and did you notice the watch is the same one at the beginning during and at the end of the video. Hannes seems like a great guy.
The video was produced in cooperation with Wargaming, makers of the naval combat game World of Warships who've spent considerable time getting their models as accurate as possible, even laser scanning the ships that are still around.
I really like Sabaton. I've been listening to them for a couple of years now and I actually got to know them through my oldest son. We were on a short holiday in Normandy, visiting the historic D-Day locations, when he mentioned them. He knew of a couple of songs about the sights we were visiting. We listened to them in the car and I've continued to listen ever since that time. And their drummer being married to the singer of my favourite band helps attracting my attention too. 😉
Great reaction guys! Sabaton is one of my favorite bands. “Ghost Division” live at Woodstock is a great one by them. Also “Swedish Pagans” live at Wacken. “40 to 1” and “Uprising” live at Woodstock. “The Last Stand” live at Budapest, and “To Hell and Back” live at Antwerp are all great live performances by them. Also “Defense of Moscow” is a great recent official video.
OK, live of Sabaton... Ghost Division live at Woodstock, En Livstid I Krig (Live - The Great Tour - Gothenburg) on Swedish, Carolus Rex (Live - The Great Tour - Stockholm) on Swedish (my favorite :)) Night Witches (Live - The Great Tour - Leipzig) - as it was said, animated story firstly, when live
Lots of other good suggestions, I'll just add one of my favorites is The Red Baron. If you go on a Sabaton deep dive please keep that one in mind too! Also Shiroyama. Shiroyama has an official lyric video, but the video someone created using footage from the movie The Last Samurai is very well done. Oh, also, The Attack of the Dead Men.
Like Nightwish going into a worm hole at warp speed my second favorite band, Saboton your diving into a ballistic historic foxhole.Saboton is not political but on the sacrifices, heroism of soldiers, civilians in war. “ we shall never forget” is their mantra. Check out live Saboton, 40-1, Attack of the Dead Men, Metal Machines. There are so many, their videos are incredible as you just saw, their lyrics videos are educational as well are epic. No Bullets Fly, Night Witches are amazing. They also have Saboton History Channel explaining their songs and the history behind them. Stay Safe Rock On!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

In life they're although amazing))) I've been on their performance in Moscow before covid lockdown and it was something awesome!!!! So atmospheric! I enjoyed every seconds)))) Now you've got a lot of great music about actual events in history))) Welcome to Sabaton's army!))) Thanks for reaction and greetings from Russia)))
This one, imo, isn't even one of their better ones. You ought to look upp "No bullets fly", "Defence of Moscow", "Night witches", "Livgardet" and "Devil Dogs" and.... there are so many. However if you want a live video you should look up "En livstid i krig" - the concert from Gothenburg from their Great Tour. You should listen to it in Swedish with captions on to get the best experience. Spoiler: There's a tank on stage ;)
Hi there! Recently found your channel and basically watching non stop for the past couple of days your journey through Nightwish, Ayreon and Epica and now onto Sabaton! Absolutely enjoying the channel and finding the British humour hilarious , nice that it's still fully in tact after years of being across the pond! 😉 Anyway, my only suggestion is , when viewing a Sabaton song, as they are trying to teach History through heavy metal, always put the captions on to read the lyrics as you go since it's story based, to learn the history of the song, it's very important to hear the lyrics. (Actually I would say this about Nightwish songs also, turn those captions on! ) but Sabaton I feel to truly appreciate the intent behind the song, its paramount. I love the song To Hell and Back but Nightwitches animated story is a great place to go from here!
Actually, their video is not from some movie clips, documentaries or games, but made by game company 'Wargaming net'. They made music video to advertising their naval warfare game named 'World of Warships', which makes sense that this video has top quality CGI warships. They already made some tank stuffs too, for 'World of Tanks' with music by Sabaton again. They're also great. epic metal combined with epic CGI, just EPIC. love that words b2w nerd alerts though XD
Ok so Sabaton it is. My favourite song by Sabaton: "Red Baron": Live with some awesome gear: ua-cam.com/video/GmqVpskrLsQ/v-deo.html Ofiicial lyric video: ua-cam.com/video/1snEYPg8TXs/v-deo.html Fan made video with movie footage (amazing!): ua-cam.com/video/io14H6fqnv4/v-deo.html
Am I the only one who was interested in the parts covered by the Nerd Alert? XD I knew you chaps would love this the instant I saw it post. You guys are rapidly becoming my favorite music reaction channel. I don't see it posted in the comments yet, but the video itself was produced in conjunction with the game "World of Warships", and was intended to showcase both the band and the game. I'm not sure, but I believe the wide shots of the ships and the fighting is actual game footage, with the live actors only being used on sets for closeups. I could be wrong, I've never played the game, but I do know the wides are CGI.
Just wanted to point something out chaps - (and this is totally inspired by George of course with his Battleship facts!) - War time Bangers may or may not be a good description of this song (depending on whether you like it or not) in that Butchers filled out the sausages with so much water due to shortages of meat that they used to explode in your face when you cooked them - hence the UK term 'Bangers'! I think this song is a War Time Banger and that's all I'm saying!😉 😆. Hope you are both well
The guy you see recieving the compass from the captain, was actually the last surviving member of the crew of the Bismark, he died a few months before this video released, the guy sailing the boat is his son.
SABATON - Ghost Division (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO) for a live video ;) Performed live in Poland, hear them sing along to the song about Rommel's Ghost Division \m/ Oh, and do watch the history video they also made about when Rommel did the unthinkable. You'll know what I mean when you hear it if you didn't already know about it ;)
Glad you guys found Sabaton, great way to learn history. If you would like some Viking metal please check ,also swedish band, Amon Amarth!!! Greets from Finland:)
The video was made by Wargaming so all the scenes was created by the company as a promo for the World of Warships game. Sabaton is a Swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars. They will be releasing their 10th studio album on March 4th 2022. Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's UA-cam safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken) If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krieg (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion [Music Video's]: Steel Commanders, Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come - Deliverance and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.
I love history and I love metal, yet it was only after becoming a Nightwish/Floor fan that I discovered Sabaton, a few months ago. I don't know how I missed them! Nice reaction as always! Would love to see you react to them performing live, especially the concert in front of 500,000+ people (I saw others have left comments with links/song titles to that show so I won't 😀)
Hi again from UK - powerful band and track , and some musical family Hannes and Floor! Random fact my former work colleague’s grandmother Lady Hood launched the HMS Hood in 1918 - futility of war Bismarck sunk the Hood despite 5000 T of extra armour , 1500 lost their lives and only 3 survived . ( ps don’t forget Unlucky Morpheus you pinky promised to check out 😉)
battleships got their name from the age of sails where the ships would fight in a line of battle. the ships in these battles were known as ships of the line. in truth a battleship would be more aptly known as "line of battle ship", however we shortened it to battleship to make it easier. and personally i like Sabaton's song "attack of the dead men" it is fitting for the time near halloween as well as being one of the most terrifying events of WW1
Yes guys, indeed one of their many bangers! Actually they are currently touring the US with a concert tomorrow (Oct 6th) at the Microsoft Thearter in LA!! As already mentioned in the comments....their History Channel imho is phenomenal! I learned so much more about the wars and battles then I already knew. The captain of that fishing boat is, I believe, the descendent of the rescued man. And if you should have knowledge of a forgotten battles or a persons who played a role in them...you can send Sabaton an e-mail and if you're lucky they make a song about it. They recieve thousands of requests each year. I think it is fantastic what they do...remembering all who died in those wars and give them their much deserved honour!
They are no longer on tour though, It got postponed due to major hearttrouble forPriests guitarplayer Richie Faulkner. They played a final show on 29th of september in Denver, just Sabaton for almost 3 hours.
@@connydely1460 Oh my goodness!! I didn't know that. I visited Sabanton's website today and there was no mention of it. I hope Richie has a good recovery. Luckily they were in time for the operation! I saw them just before their tour with Judas Priest was cancelled. The live videos are amazing, but they are even better live than those videos can portray. A great band with amazing powerful stories. As others have said be sure to check out Sabaton History even if just for your own pleasure and to learn more about the stories behind the songs.
I've got your back George. Remember the ARA General Belgrano, famously sunk during the Falklands War? Started out life as the USS Phoenix, luckily moored out of the line of attack at Pearl Harbor. Saw a bit of action during the war in the Pacific before being sold to Argentina. Only a light cruiser not a battleship I'm afraid, but I thought you might enjoy that bit of trivia. Alex can bugger off, "Nerd Alert" indeed. ;P
Just found your channel and Im hooked! Its not a live video, but can you PLEASE react to the animated music video of Sabaton "No Bullets Fly"? Its an AMAZING story! Keep up the great content. Much love from the States! 🇺🇲🤘
The war footage in their videos is due to their team up with the gaming company that does the World of Tanks and World of Warships. That company created all the footage in the Bismark video specifically for this video.
Absolutely go see them live. I just saw them open for Judas Priest and it was astounding. They completely won over everyone in the crowd who wasn't already wearing Saboton shirts.
Sabaton is amazing. I discovered them after discovering Nightwish a few years ago. They are amazing. I've learned more history listening to them than I did in school. Their song Night Witches is one of my favorites. And yes, their drummer is married to Floor from Nightwish. ;)
Greetings Thamesmen- glad you enjoyed it! My son (who is 16 and very into war history) was the one who got me into the band and I took him for his first ever gig to see them at Wembley Arena in Feb 20- I wasn't sure what to expect but they were fantastic live. You should check out their history channel where they tell the story of their songs. Well worth a look. Next up I'd recommend 'No Bullets Fly' ua-cam.com/video/dslO-3GgenY/v-deo.html for a video and live? 'Attack of the Dead Men' ua-cam.com/video/fxkynkZAQZ0/v-deo.html is great but very hard to choose just one. Have a most excellent day chaps...
The video was produced by the company Wargaming which produces the game World of Warships. The Bismarck was the largest battleship in the world at that time of WW2 and had a crew of 2200 sailors from which only 113 could be rescued when the ship sunk. There is a very nice video series on the channel Extra History titled Hunting the Bismarck if you are interested in the whole story. Also Sabaton has their own channel where they talk about every song and the military events they sing about: Sabaton History ua-cam.com/users/SabatonHistory . Other great Sabaton videos are "No bullets fly" (Animated STORY video) ua-cam.com/video/dslO-3GgenY/v-deo.html and "Night Witches" (Animated STORY Video) ua-cam.com/video/5YPo8zDkvy4/v-deo.html or "Red Baron" (official lyric video) ua-cam.com/video/1snEYPg8TXs/v-deo.html . There are a lot more of course and these are just the first that came to my mind. For "No Bullets fly" and "Night Witches" please make sure that you select the STORY videos. YarnHub did a great job with these animations and the storytelling that always brings my to tears, no matter how often I watch them. For Sabaton live I would suggest "40:1" (live at Woodstock festival 2012) ua-cam.com/video/Ty-4jk93FrE/v-deo.html , Ghost Division" (official live video) ua-cam.com/video/9FkYxnm70vg/v-deo.html or "Swedish Pagans" (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019) ua-cam.com/video/NWnuSZ5pwNA/v-deo.html.
Sabaton is another one of those Euro (Swedish) Power Metal bands that are great live. They are able to perform patriotic song for every nation they play. It makes for quite a show. The Battleship is obsolete due to their inability to defend against air power. They need Aircraft Carriers to protect them. Still quite impressive as symbols of national sea power!
Battleships being one of my favorite subjects, and one of my favorite channels being Drachinifel - a countryman of yours who specializes in naval history... For my part, the analytics should look good. :)
@@TheThamesmen yeah it was clear. :) Anyway, George - do check Drachinifel's channel, it's awesome and will nourish your inner geek. ua-cam.com/users/Drachinifelvideos He has a dry humour too - see the episode on French pre-dreadnoughts "When Hotels Go To War" and also "The Voyage Of The Damned" about the trip of the Russian Baltic fleet before the battle of Tsushima.

i always asked myself what would have happened if that torpedo bomber didn't hit and block the rudder of the bismarck. it was feared for very good reasons (very fast, very well armored and a hell of a punch) .. battleships where just an overtaken strategy .. aircraft carriers and their versatility proofed to be better.
Out of Bismarcks 50,000 + tons displacement , 44% was armour protection , a higher percentage than any other battleship in history , in may 1941 Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz were the most powerful battleships afloat
The rudder was essentially the only weak point of the Bismarck. German command ignored the warnings of the engineers and didn’t do anything to strengthen the rudder.. So, of course the torpedo correctly shown in the music video damaged the rudder which meant the ship couldn’t be steered anymore It just went in big circles making it an easy target for the enemy ships that eventually sank it… The scenes with the ships are not from movies but simply for this music video.. The story with the compass is also true..
I wish I was 7/8th the man Hannes is...True story. Sabaton personally dredged up the real Bismarck from its ocean depths, retrofitted it and then re-sunk it, just for the music video. Shows true diction to their craft.
Try sabbaton no bullets fly-the animated story video. You guys will cry! And its a realy good song and story. The other side of the great war. The mercy of a german messerschmitt-pilot.
I second that one, one of the best interactions with the crowd you will ever see. Their on stage camera set up looking out at audience adds a different perspective, and features on many of The Great Tour performances.

I agree with the above, but would just add Nightwitches also Animated story video.
Live: Uprising (From Woodstock in Poland).
About En livstid i Krig remember to put on Subtitles for that extra.
@@TheThamesmen also Fields of Verdun, Coat of arms, Night witches, Red Baron should be onthe list
For live Sabaton check out' En Livstid I Krig' live in Gothenberg. Its about the 30 year war. An emotional song and also have subtitles on to appreciate. Also check out Sabatons own history channel aswell.
Many thanks for the suggestion looking forward to listen to this later
Indeed a truely epic video. Why would you even need to sing, when you have an audience to do it for you?
Perfect - Thanks!!
HUGE rabbit hole
@@TheThamesmen You've no idea what you're getting in to.... 😄 Sabaton AND Nightwish?! Congrats, you've got a full time job!!😂🤘 I'm so looking forward to this!
Check out the animated video “no bullets fly” it’s so emotional(for me anyways)
Ok will do!!
Great reaction. I would suggest having captions on for Sabaton (unless it's already a lyric video).
That's a good idea!
dont sleep on their "Sabaton History" -channel too, where the actual history behind the songs is explained by one of the greatest narrators (imo) Indy Neidell :)
I have only ever seen them live once, but they have to be the most fun band to see live ever, it was a great set they played.
Oh thats so nice to read.... I want to see them (not in the north sea)
I was having Thamesmen withdrawal. As usual, another great reaction gentlemen.
Hope you enjoyed it! WE lOOOOVED IT!
There's also a US battleship in North Carolina called the USS North Carolina, it's really bloody fantastic to go and tour it!
Sabaton are amazing and I adore that they've found this niche in doing Historical songs. Check out their latest single with electric cellist Tina Guo called Steel Commanders.
I had a Grandfather who served aboard KM Bismarck as an Engineering Officer. I am sure he would have appreciated seeing History kept alive.
Cool!!!
You REALLY want to do Ghost division from their Woodstock performance. Watching the most epic opener in music history in front of 600 THOUSAND people is something you'll never forget!!!!
Cool - Will check
En Livstid I Krig (Live - The Great Tour - Gothenburg)
Do not forget the subtitles!
The subtitles are always taken off when we were at the video
Hannes is the tall one. He's been with Sabaton since 2013. The old guys is the grandson of the guys they pulled from the water and did you notice the watch is the same one at the beginning during and at the end of the video. Hannes seems like a great guy.
call the bomb squad!
"So long, fare thee well. Pip! Pip! Cheerio!"
The video was produced in cooperation with Wargaming, makers of the naval combat game World of Warships who've spent considerable time getting their models as accurate as possible, even laser scanning the ships that are still around.
So cool.
Now that's great!! Really fab story!
Noted!! Thanks
OK, live of Sabaton...
Ghost Division live at Woodstock,
En Livstid I Krig (Live - The Great Tour - Gothenburg) on Swedish,
Carolus Rex (Live - The Great Tour - Stockholm) on Swedish (my favorite :))
Night Witches (Live - The Great Tour - Leipzig) - as it was said, animated story firstly, when live
Great information. Thank you
Two of my favorite things rock n' roll and history combined into The greatest performance ever!
Fishing and the North sea?
Stay Safe Rock On!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
They have a history channel..... Bloody hell!!!
@@Calumetto Well go and start your own discord channel. Set area's for chart YT reactions, etc. Everytime a YT reaction comes up post it and rate it. Then create a set of tracks to post to the YT reactor. If interested look up NW sever on Discord. Irts all run from there
In life they're although amazing))) I've been on their performance in Moscow before covid lockdown and it was something awesome!!!! So atmospheric! I enjoyed every seconds))))
Now you've got a lot of great music about actual events in history))) Welcome to Sabaton's army!)))
Thanks for reaction and greetings from Russia)))
So good! HellO Russia
Many thanks be well and have a lovely day
..sweden checking in 🤘👍
My vote goes to "ghost division- woodstock 2012" next🙋♂️ (Great powermetal) see ya
Cool - Noted!
They’re actually from my hometown. Nice guys as well! 😇
Cool! You can spot them anywhere in cammo!
My favourite song by Sabaton: "Red Baron":

Am I the only one who was interested in the parts covered by the Nerd Alert? XD I knew you chaps would love this the instant I saw it post. You guys are rapidly becoming my favorite music reaction channel.
I don't see it posted in the comments yet, but the video itself was produced in conjunction with the game "World of Warships", and was intended to showcase both the band and the game. I'm not sure, but I believe the wide shots of the ships and the fighting is actual game footage, with the live actors only being used on sets for closeups. I could be wrong, I've never played the game, but I do know the wides are CGI.
becoming my favorite music reaction?????? We ARE your favorite! Be well!!
May I introduce you to the Lord and Saviour of warship nerds, a certain mr. Drachinifel? ua-cam.com/users/Drachinifel
Hope you are both well
Wow, I never knew that. What an awesome fact. Thanks for sharing!
@@TheThamesmen hmmm i allways thought its a sex metaphor cause they look like dicks for "banging"
The guy you see recieving the compass from the captain, was actually the last surviving member of the crew of the Bismark, he died a few months before this video released, the guy sailing the boat is his son.
SHUT THE FRIDGE!
Awesome band, love their music.
Fist pump TO the ground
SABATON - Ghost Division (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO) for a live video ;) Performed live in Poland, hear them sing along to the song about Rommel's Ghost Division \m/ Oh, and do watch the history video they also made about when Rommel did the unthinkable. You'll know what I mean when you hear it if you didn't already know about it ;)
Glad you guys found Sabaton, great way to learn history. If you would like some Viking metal please check ,also swedish band, Amon Amarth!!! Greets from Finland:)
Just released: SABATON - Steel Commanders (Official Music Video).

another good band to check out is "Majestica" Sabaton's lead guitarist is the lead guitar and lead singer for it
Only a question ? Why Joakin hates is right knee? His knee must be made of steel . Greetings from Portugal 🤘🤘
In fact it is! ua-cam.com/video/qnzurkSGBCs/v-deo.html 😄😉
(except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken)
If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these:
(These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use)
[live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising
[Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krieg (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling
[Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion
[Music Video's]: Steel Commanders, Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising & Seven Pillars of wisdom
[Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's)
[Covers]: Kingdom Come - Deliverance
and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.
Cool! Will get to more soon!
SABATON made this song due to overwhelming requests from the fans. This is a "thank you" song from SABATON for the fans, showing how awesome they are.
Now that is listening to your fans. What a great track
( ps don’t forget Unlucky Morpheus you pinky promised to check out 😉)
Lacroix.... Gimme time on the Morpheus... we are slammed but yes, it's noted. Take care!
@@TheThamesmen Ok, I promise not to hassle you - for at , oh, at least a week on UM “ Far beyond the sun “ 😉 . Enjoying your reactions .
Would love to see more of sabaton on the channel
Agreed
battleships got their name from the age of sails where the ships would fight in a line of battle. the ships in these battles were known as ships of the line. in truth a battleship would be more aptly known as "line of battle ship", however we shortened it to battleship to make it easier.
and personally i like Sabaton's song "attack of the dead men" it is fitting for the time near halloween as well as being one of the most terrifying events of WW1
Cool info!! I loved that
AT LAST: SABATON !!!!!!
Much Love to you💙💛💙
We get there in the end! What a track!
If History lessons in school was this amazing, I probably wouldn't of cut class as much. 😏
Great point! School of Rock!
You guys should do the rest of their songs 😁😁😁😁😅😅
One at a time! At least we made a start!
You might weep at the end of No bullets fly
Can't wait to see them
Greetings England, your long neighbour from the North! ;)
Hello there....Move to the west Coast its like Bangor with palm trees
I've got your back George. Remember the ARA General Belgrano, famously sunk during the Falklands War? Started out life as the USS Phoenix, luckily moored out of the line of attack at Pearl Harbor. Saw a bit of action during the war in the Pacific before being sold to Argentina. Only a light cruiser not a battleship I'm afraid, but I thought you might enjoy that bit of trivia. Alex can bugger off, "Nerd Alert" indeed. ;P
He does not know what he is missing when it comes to Battleship Trivia!
Just found your channel and Im hooked! Its not a live video, but can you PLEASE react to the animated music video of Sabaton "No Bullets Fly"? Its an AMAZING story! Keep up the great content. Much love from the States! 🇺🇲🤘
Mongo! You're the man. Noted and be well
The full animated story video of No Bullets Fly would be my recommendation.
The war footage in their videos is due to their team up with the gaming company that does the World of Tanks and World of Warships. That company created all the footage in the Bismark video specifically for this video.
COOL. IT WAS GREAT WORK (sorry for the caps)
Absolutely go see them live. I just saw them open for Judas Priest and it was astounding. They completely won over everyone in the crowd who wasn't already wearing Saboton shirts.
Will do!
Sabaton is amazing. I discovered them after discovering Nightwish a few years ago. They are amazing. I've learned more history listening to them than I did in school. Their song Night Witches is one of my favorites. And yes, their drummer is married to Floor from Nightwish. ;)
We are on the same path!
What a great thing to do with your son. George here. My son is nearly 14 and I’m looking forward to taking him to a epic gig
Was 5 days away from seeing them when the tour was postponed/canceled
Dam...... Better safe than sorry. They will come around again
Be well and more soon. Thanks for being here.
Look up No Bullets Fly next. The animated story, not just the song because it adds context to it.
Watch En livstid i krig, live Gothenbourg, with CC!!
OK!!
Oh... When you rip a vid the CC is always taken off.... not us...
I'd love to see them
Floor jansen is married to the drummer of this band, awesome lucky guy. 😀
Can you imagine the kid running around beating a rhythm and singing at the top of their voice
well, even Pink Floyd and Supertramp did songs about the Second World War (some songs on The Wall, and Fool's Ouverture)
Battleships being one of my favorite subjects, and one of my favorite channels being Drachinifel - a countryman of yours who specializes in naval history... For my part, the analytics should look good. :)
George here, I like a good Battle ship too! Alex Edited me out!:-)
@@TheThamesmen yeah it was clear.

No, it's not from a film, this video was sponsored by the company that have the computer game, world of warships.
Ah. well its blooming great
Out of Bismarcks 50,000 + tons displacement , 44% was armour protection , a higher percentage than any other battleship in history , in may 1941 Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz were the most powerful battleships afloat
It is insane how big and powerful these boats were. Displacement is an amazing thing to allow such a beast to float!
The rudder was essentially the only weak point of the Bismarck.
German command ignored the warnings of the engineers and didn’t do anything to strengthen the rudder..
So, of course the torpedo correctly shown in the music video damaged the rudder which meant the ship couldn’t be steered anymore
It just went in big circles making it an easy target for the enemy ships that eventually sank it…
The scenes with the ships are not from movies but simply for this music video..
The story with the compass is also true..
Wow..... Thats great info
There are, actually, eight Battleships, five aircraft carriers, and two cruisers open as museums in the USA.
Excellent more for me to see!
I wish I was 7/8th the man Hannes is...True story. Sabaton personally dredged up the real Bismarck from its ocean depths, retrofitted it and then re-sunk it, just for the music video. Shows true diction to their craft.
HA HA..... The budget was HUGE
This was a collaboration with the World of Warships
Try sabbaton no bullets fly-the animated story video. You guys will cry! And its a realy good song and story. The other side of the great war. The mercy of a german messerschmitt-pilot.
they have a history channel sabaton history
Now that is a unique thing for a band!
You can't get better live than En Livstid I Krig and Lejonet från Norden. You will thank me haha.
I play Hearts of Iron 4 a fair bit, and they are a staple in the music included. They do quite a lot of songs about WW2, among other such things.
The gaming company called Wargaming, makers of world of warhips/tanks, did the visuals for this video
Makes sense!!!!
