I’m glad to hear that about Khrome werks . Because I just ordered the same exhaust . After watching your first video on you installing them I fell in love with the black chrome and had to have it. Hoping it comes in , in time for me to get it installed and tuned before we leave for myrtle beach bIke week in may .

Thank you for your service John, and introducing all of us to Dave at JD Cycle, and of course for the 11-part series of the 114-to-128 cu.in. big bore build. I'm considering a similar build to my 2020 SGS eventually; for now just Stage-1 as I've got a year and half to go on the HD warranty. In the meantime, I'm adding the Rockford-Fosgate-Harley 4-speaker (2 in fairing & 2 in the bag lids) 400w audio upgrade. I was rather surprised about the issues with the Krome-Werks 2-1-2 Exhaust on your Harley, but glad to hear they are providing replacement parts for you (great customer service)!
I just installed the exact same exhaust w the same engine upgrades. My exhaust discolored EXACTLY like yours did. In the exact same spot. No heat shield issues so far. The purple color is aggravating my OCD. I plan on calling them tomorrow. Hope I get the same level of customer service that you did. Thanks for taking time to make these videos.

Quality companies produce quality products that they stand behind. Love these pipes, they are perfect for my bike. And this kind of review makes the choice easy for me now.
I purchased the same exhaust when I purchased my bike and experienced the same blueing on the same pipe after the dealer installed a 131kit with the H-D tuner and mapped.
KW replaced the pipe, but required I installed an auto tuner. If not, they would not warranty the exhaust, if the blueing re-occurred. So, I had the dealer install the H-D smart tune pro w/wide band O2 sensor and the KW louvered baffles. Yes, the louvered baffles make a difference in performance and sound. The ride is incredible.

Both me and my friends bike have replaced our right side mufflers twice it happens with big motors we’re running 131 it’s so much heat my buddy said wear it with a badge of honour for having a big motor kit. Look at trask derby open glass cover nicest one on the market

Yup, I knew you had the louvered baffles.
I have the two and one blacked out pipe and the penetration on the world inside the baffle just didn’t seem to be there it happens. I will do all the time I called them up they sent me a new one out. It was here in three days. Good people.

Take the wrap off your bike. You call it silver back and you cover it up with black

tree man here. hey john it looks like the dyno tested more than the motor. from what I can see in the video there doesn't appear to be any bluing on your pipe before the dyno run. I just find that interesting. did the larger displacement do that?
