I made this today and my family loved it ! ❤ I just held back on the crushed pepper because my little ones arent really fans of spicy but I give this recipe 10/10 🎉
I love this video and this pasta! I made it from your IG awhile ago and it reminded me of Olive Garden’s five cheese ziti but much better. I’m planning on making it again soon and looking forward to more UA-cam recipes from you 😄
i know there's always a big debate about sugar i. tomatoe sauce. i agree sugar does go in tomatoe sauce. It cuts down the acidity in the sauce. Boy! if u got acid reflux u better not forget the sugar cause if u do you'll regret
When I say this came out so good I followed your recipe step for step ! BUT I did add andouille sausage cooked with olive oil and green/red bell peepers first 😂it was super good my kids also love it. Thank you 🙏🏾
I see 2 bags of cheese each but definitely only saw 1 of each used did I miss something also was that a half stick or whole stick of butter for alfredo need to know asap tryna make this tonight 😊
I love this I got the recipe from your Instagram and made it it was sooooooo good love your Instagram n glad u made UA-cam all your food b looking soooo delicious🥰🫶🏼🫶🏼❤️
Cooking with Destiny’s full Baked Ziti Recipe (copied from video transcript) Ingredients: Parmesan cheese (1½ cups) Mozzarella cheese (for topping) 1 stick salted butter 1 lb Italian sausage 1 lb ground beef ½ tablespoon sugar 1½ cups heavy cream 1 tablespoon minced garlic Fresh parsley (for garnish) Olive oil 1 onion (diced) 1 can crushed tomatoes (small) 1 can diced tomatoes (small) 1 jar tomato basil sauce Rigatoni pasta (or similar) Seasonings: 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon garlic & herb seasoning 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon sea salt Method: Prepare the Ingredients: Dice the onion. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Add a splash of olive oil to prevent sticking, then drain. Make the Meat Sauce: In a pot, sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until translucent (about 6-8 minutes). Add ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess grease, then return the meat to the pot. Add tomato basil sauce, crushed tomatoes, and diced tomatoes. Stir well. Season with Italian seasoning, garlic & herb seasoning, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sugar. Mix thoroughly. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes on medium heat, then reduce to low. Make Alfredo Sauce: In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sea salt. Mix well. Assemble: Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine pasta with the meat sauce, stirring well. Pour the pasta mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly. Drizzle Alfredo sauce over the pasta and top with mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle parsley for garnish. Bake: Bake uncovered for 12-14 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve: Let the baked ziti rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
I made this recipe a couple months ago (found it on FB) and it is THE most requested dish for my family! The Alfredo sauce on top takes this to the next level! Even my picky kiddos inhale this meal. It is a phenomenal recipe. Thank you so much for your recipes! (Btw- one time I forgot the sugar and I could tell the difference- the sugar is a must in my opinion!). ❤️
I made this today but after I made my Alfredo sauce I just combined it all and then put it in the baking dish and topped with mozzarella cheese! So delicious! My husband loved it! 😋

It also depends on the type of cheese. I shred my own, but Kraft brand has never given me a problem with pre-shredded… other shredded brands not so good, though
So many mistakes here. Oil in the boiling water. Sugar in the tomato sauce. And IDK what recipe you are trying to make, but it is NOT baked ziti. Likely some kind of bizarre chili mac made with ziti noodles. Either way, it is *way* too complicated and unhealthy, sorry.
@@kaylawilliams6025 Your first statement is a myth, and your second statement only applies after the tomato sauce has been tasted and found to be too acidy. That is almost *never* the case with jarred or canned tomatoes.

I’ve always put oil in water so the noodles don’t stick and sugar GOES IN TOMATO SAUCEE!!!!! that’s an opinion not a mistake so go somewhere please hunny.

#1 it's her food.

You put oil in the noodles so they won’t stick together and also you put Sugar in the tomato’s so the Sugar can cut down on the acid in the tomatoes!
