This will be a more personal to me message but , I’m nearly 40 with 3 children , my grandma was my best friend till I was 6 - she died on my birthday and it was the first encounter i had with any real loss (I heard she was very crafty , my mother was a pro knitter for years) , my other grandma I wasn’t very close to but anyway what I’m trying to say is Glenda thank you for what you do, all the crafts - you are amazing at and I’ve learned so much through you and Cody.. so whatever craft you feel like doing on the channel go for it ❤ I love them all

I have quilted a bit in the past, but I never heard of the Accu-Quilt!😱😱😱 Rotary cutting, although quicker and more exact than scissor cutting, can be tricky I think. Knowing about this new machine is mind blowing!
    Thanks Glenda!

I learned to make quilts from my Momma a 100 years ago. All hand sewn .. I don't use a machine when I make one.. Love it it feels like my Momma is sitting next to me as I turn the C clamps as I roll the quilt .❤❤❤

Loved the video. We all need a break from time to time. I think stepping away from what you love to do and trying something new or different will help you focus and refresh you. Because I think sometimes we get in a rut and doing something else will get you inspired. Glenda thanks for inspiring us. You are a great teacher. 😊🧶

Thanks for sharing your passions with us, the machine is amazing, I hand cut my pieces, but the accuquilt looks brilliant, I'm going to have a look into this. I'm a multi crafter, knitting, crochet, quilting, card making, beads, the list goes on, so it's great to find a genuine opinion of a product. Thanks Grandma xxx

Back in the dark ages we used a template, pen and scissors to cut pieces. I used a rotary cutter for a while, but I tend to like applique quilts better. My last quilt was a paper pieced, hand sewn Grandmothers Flower Garden which I somehow managed to mess up by sewing a section in the wrong place. Now I'm without a sewing machine so no need to make any blocks right now. Applique patterns are getting hard to find these days anyway.

Omigosh! 😲 I have the Accucutter! It’s a few decades old…but still works awesome! I bought it a looong time ago when I was doing a lot of scrapbooking. The thing is huge and weighs a ton. I have Tons of dies for it. No quilting dies, though…I never got into quilting very much. I was very surprised to open up your video and see an Accucutter! Yours looks a little different from mine. But I imagine mine is a bit older. Lol 😆 fun!

This was very interesting. Thank you so much for showing this to us. I never knew that there was such a thing as a die cutting plate. I love handmade quilts. I think they are so beautiful. I have only made a baby quilt but, I used 2 solid pieces of fabric with batting between and sewed them together. Then I tied knots through all the pieces in different places. It did turn out wuite cute. It was a baby gift to a coworker who was having her first grandbaby.
I look forward to seeing the progress and the finished quilt. I know it's going to be very beautiful!🤗
    Wishing you a wonderful blessed day/night 🙏🏻💖

Hi Glenda, so nice to see you sewing, a nice change. We all need that at times. Do you have an extension table for your sewing machine? I'm glad my Brother sewing machine has one. I may buy some of the thread .. good prices. I've been doing a little paper piecing, using 1" hexie templates for hand sewing last few days. That's a pretty neat cutter, nevet saw one, thanks for sharing 😁

Hi, Glenda. Thanks for the quilting demo. My sister is a quilter. She has given me 4 beautiful quilts. I love them so much. They're ripped in places because I wash them so much, because I use them so much. I have all kinds of eye issues. No depth perception, nystagmus, color blind. Mostly blind. I don't know if I could ever quilt but if I did I would definitely need the cutting machine, I cannot cut straight? I would love to try it sometime but I don't know if I could manage a sewing machine or not. Thanks for the video though. I am definitely interested and want to learn more to determine if it's something I could do.

I don’t have a sewing machine, don’t have a place to sew, and not a real interest in sewing. Our church started a crafting group to make things for charity. I went to the first one. Unfortunately for me, they mostly do Quilting and sew little animals together, and knit baby hats. I was just beginning to crochet, so I sadly found no place there. I do my best to watch all of your videos, but won’t be quilting. Thanks for sharing ❤😊
