  • The Emperor is the one who put the tadpole in the Tav's head. There are so many evidence in game and motive as to why he did it.

So how does this work? The emperor, who had been enslaved again, finds the Prism. He dicovers that within and ONLY within the Prism he has his free will again. Shadowheart gets possesion of the Prism and the emperor, knowing he will immediatly be enslaved by the brain again if he leaves the Prism...leaves the Prism and puts a tadpole into people heads. Wich is exactly what the mindflayers would have done anyways. And the goes back into the Prism and gets his free will again? Huh? Why would he do that? If anything the Emperor, while still under brain control, puts the tadpoles into everyones heads. Then he finds the Prism on Shart, enters it, and regains his free will, at wich point he plans to use whoever he can, to fufill his plan. But even then, there would be dialog. Like there is dialog specifically mentioning that the Goblincamp mindflayer isnt the intro one, there would also be dialog mentioning that the Emperor would be the intro mindflayer.

Excellent video. The only thing I think is wrong is that The Emperor became an ilithid a lot of time before captured by Gortash

Sorry, Larian isn't so bad at writing that Tav would have zero dialogue saying "hey you're the mind flayer that infected me" to the emperor, since zero other mindflayers look like him exactly

You can't have the spoiler in the title and thumbnail and then say "Spoilers Ahead" in the video. That defeats the whole purpose and you're just ruining the game for other people.

This makes sense, otherwise there is no reason for the Emperor to randomly break free from the Elder Brain(he doesn't have any latent arcane powers like Omeluum) and doesn't the Elder Brain itself tell us of this 4D chess tactic it used? It would also explain how the Emperor doesn't even try to hear you out when you free Orpheus(we've trusted him the whole game, and he doesn't even give us a chance? Knowing how strong we are that we could easily defeat Orpheus if needed) it makes sense he is a thrall all along, and the Elder Brain just pulled him back once it saw that Orpheus is out
