Congratulations on President status. As an American, am very, very proud of how you present yourself, all the while showing total respect to your family, community and country. You always roll up your sleeves and jump in, instead of directing others to do so. You are a great role model and again, congratulations!
Isn't it amazing how we feel drawn to people of the past and have an amazing connection to them? I love your enthusiasm and excitement as you and Luke are exploring the family's past and preserving it for your future family. Thanks so much for sharing it!! ❤
I totally agree! It's just wonderful seeing your excitement and joy! You have become the biggest promoter of not just your family but of a way of life that is quintessentially British. Well done!!!
What I love is that you are keeping the family history alive for your kids…and being such an integral part of the business side of Mapperton. I bet some great granddaughter will study and document your time as the matriarch of the Montegues!

I love that photo of the new President of the Historical Society looking absolutely smashing, even though you were so cold, wet and miserable on the day.
You, my dear, are so freaking fantastic! Keeping of the lineage! Through our genealogy & my great grandmother Blanche Richards, we have discovered that we’re from the same family in times but from the very far past of Tamworth and castle! Your hard work and dedication makes me want to be a better Woman! Thank you so much for sharing
I recently bought a gorgeous and giant 1920s portrait so I’m now totally obsessed with portraits. The good ones aren’t easy to find! So glad they can be welcomed back to Mapperton!

St.Mary church so so beautiful..would love to see inside.. Congrads PRES....NICE JOB local history society..right up your alley with ur degree... Great getting artwork, photos back..nice job..❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊
How wonderful and congratulations on being elected as the President of that historical society! I know you are thrilled. Hope you feel much better quickly and the earache goes away without damage to your hearing. Beautiful paintings and glad you showed the gorgeous stained glass windows of the family church.
How wonderful Julie they are to have you. Getting more of the photos back is wonderful and the town is lucky to have your leadership as president of that group.
Loved this video Julie, congratulations on becoming president... I think that's amazing and you'll do a fabulous job. I love hearing the stories about your ancestors, and the paintings are wonderful.
That painting of Alberta that you show at 3:56, needs a good cleaning. Although the painting isn’t that old, but she must have hung someplace with a smoke belching fireplace, or with smokers.
It must give you much happiness to know that you weren’t the “Lone Ranger” “American), to marry into British royalty. What a fantastic find and return the portraits back to their home! And the honor they bestowed on you, of President of their Historical Society. 👍🏻💕🇺🇸
As a genealogist, I love how you follow and map out the family history and you give information and you share those details here. As a lover of history and as a human, I love that you are so dedicated and devotional to Luke’s family. It’s really wonderful to see. I think that’s something that we don’t have here as Americans. we’ve lost touch with that piece of ourselves and we long for it, of people long for that connection. Great job Julie.

Thank God this family has Julie to help out with all if these projects . This place is a ton of work and takes someone who is committed to the end result.
