Congratulations on President status. As an American, am very, very proud of how you present yourself, all the while showing total respect to your family, community and country. You always roll up your sleeves and jump in, instead of directing others to do so. You are a great role model and again, congratulations!

Julie, You are such an inspiration to me. I am loving studying my own family history. I don't have any aristocracy, just servants to the aristocracy and the royals. Learning their stories have been fascinating. As an American I didn't know that much about British history outside of what I learned in romance novels. I have found such fun things: Testimony at the Old Bailey my 3x great-grandfather gave for a theft of the mail from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle when he was the Messenger for the Master of the Horse; my 3x great grand aunt being widowed twice before landing a steady job with Viscount Villiers, heir to the Earl of Jersey. And of course lots of farmers! Thank you for your the inspiration to make sure my family knows these stories.

This has been my favourite episode so far.. I love learning the family history and looking around the beautiful church. Hinchinbrook is impressive but Mapperton is far prettier. Such a shame that Hinchinbrook has such major roads around now .. love the history tours.. 😊

So glad you were able to reclaim some family heirlooms
