Great offer. Unfortunately they don’t ship to NZ. That’s a shame as it looks great.
To Mapperton Live.... Theo is such a special sheep/lamb ... Because he tries so hard and continues to walk to his mother even though the mother has rejected him. He possibly is an Easter lamb, which makes him more special I think. As the Good lord tells no sheep is left behind., and he is just so cute. I pray God blesses you for your good deeds and lovely demeanor. The name Theo is an ancient name. Used in Early Christian Hebrew as a title by the name of an individual, as well Greek individuals. The origins are primarily Greek though and literally means " GOD. "😁
I love it! No matter how excited, silly, goofy etc. that Julie gets, Luke always supports. He never rolls his eyes, he never says anything disparaging. It is so nice to see a husband that supports his wife so unwaveringly! 😀
I, for one, would love to watch the story of little Theo. Animals are such a magnet for so many people.
As a fellow American I was so excited to see these historic pieces. I was so excited for you Julie. I love how you share all wonder of your life.
I’m a hardcore fan of Julie since her Made in London, then I was informed recently she was a “Sugar” hope this is not the case🥲
Are the robes and headgear 70 years old?
Ditto! ❤
@@lyndaryan5673 What is a "sugar"? I'm Canadian.
@@lindagraham3346 Anti Royal Megan supporters, glad to read you are not a Sugar they are very nasty vindictive people
No one is ever as excited as Julie Montague over anything
Little mrs enthusiasm. 💕
Love her. She is so much fun and the enthusiasm speaks to her goodness.
Enthusiasm is good.
I understand her! I would be so excited too (historian here).
What or who wore the robes for what coronation?
Considering the delicacy of the materials it might be advisable to consult with experts on how to preserve and display these beautiful historic objects for the future. Even the lace items shown as well as the parasol are fabulous finds and should be conserved. I LOVE history, am a lifelong Anglophile (maiden name Browning) and if I am ever able to visit Britain I will definitely come to your BEAUTIFUL home. Thank You for ALL you do 😊!
True! So much family history on those pieces.
Coronation regalia, precious, spring, lambs and bucking broncos. What an exciting and lovely day at Mapperton.
I think your family is blessed with Julie’s enthusiasm to bring life and history to Mapperton. Blessings always from The USA.
I desperately hope these historic items can be refreshed and put on display (protected)! Amazing
Definitely a Theo fan. He is so precious.🐏
I wanted to make a suggestion with regard to the old clothing and fabric items you found in the chest. If possible, might you consider having a fabric conservator on-hand when you get these things out of storage?
Many of those pieces look so incredibly old and fragile, they are liable to fall apart if mishandled. For example, watching you open that parasol gave me serious anxiety as that fabric has been folded that way for many years (obviously, by how it came out of the chest) and opening it really risked tearing the fabric. Not to mention the extreme anxiety when you were pulling all the lace items out of the bags!!
Additional anxiety was felt when you mentioned 'polishing' the coronets on your AV channel. PLEASE get some help with this, and find out exactly how to do it properly, please don't just take some 'Brasso' to it! (Not suggesting that's what you'd do, but just wanting to ensure the longevity of the coronets.)
Maybe a call to an institution like the V&A and a chat with their conservators might be in order. Maybe someone can come out and spend a day with you to go through all the stuff you have and give you some direction on it.
That would make a GREAT video, I'd love to see that!!!
Alternately, there are many textile conservation companies in the UK (just google!), you may be able to get one to give you a day's advice in exchange for highlighting them in a video...
Good luck with it, I can't wait to see all the other clothing you find!
Exactly- polish destroys the highly valuable patina. Touch nothing with Brasso!😬
I agree completely. You need a conservator ASAP
storing clothes in plastic bags not good
Julie, please don't put the Coronation robes with the fur
In plastic bags cotton is so much better
Conservators at the V and A
Will be able to help
Looking forward to seeing them and the lacr
Please put them on display for the coronation season!!
Looking forward to watching little Theo grow up. Love the Coronation robes and Coronets.
What a find! Those items need to be on display for a long time, not just the coronation celebration. As a Texan I thank you for representing the US at the big event!
Julie is a fabulous example of an American lady, hard working, creative, dynamic, loyal and a breath of fresh air. She is great.
I agree, should be put in a glass case on permanent display.
This episode was so exciting!! From the coronation robe! To Julie preparing to commentate on the coronation! To Luke’s so sweetly feeding the lamb! To update on ponies! Yes, please keep us posted on little Theo three spots!!
They are probably costumes…..they would not be allowed to keep them willy nilly in an old chest…especially in black garbage bags….the difference in their speech is astonishing….she sounds so crass and basically stupid…dear god,bad representation of the USA..they just let these historic pieces of clothing….that I don’t think are real …just dry rot in some old chest …I call bull…..
So looking forward to watching Theo grow! He’s such a cutie pie!🐏❤
lamb chops 😢
Theo just broke my heart when he made his way to his mom and she seems so indifferent. Happy he is surrounded by people who care. Looking forward to see him grow up with surrounded by love. Looking forward to Julie's Coronation coverage.
@Anna - Oh my goodness..I felt the same way 😕😢. Poor little guy on his wobbly legs trying to get to his Mom and she’s rejected him for whatever reason animals do these things.
I’m really glad we get to follow along on Theo’s progress.
@@TeresaEAnn Yes, it was heart-wrenching, poor little boy, I just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him🤗 ...I think it's a lovely plan to follow him and other animals, I'm going to really look forward to seeing them grow.
@@TeresaEAnn maybe it works with them the way it can work with baby bison. If one herd rejects the baby, one of the other herds will take it in. Maybe one of the other females will accept him and love him like her own.
theo just needs locking in a warm sheltered pen with his family for two days and nights and they will all bond properly
Love Theo Three Spots! We look forward to seeing his development. The rewilding project is admirable and greatly needed.
I got chills knowing and seeing the family robes to a past Coronation and Julie I felt your excited all the way from my quiet bedroom. In fact, I got tears in my eyes watching this. Plus little being introduced to the little lamb. So touching.
Can I just say Julie, you are exactly the kind of American woman who married into the British aristocracy, that Duchess Suss-ex should be loking up to! You and your father-in-law were very gracious about not getting a Coronation invite, and instead of complaining about it, it's brilliant to see you and your husband getting into the Coronation spirit in a positive way.
I am definitely rooting for Theo. Exciting to see the robe & crowns. Amazing to think about living there for so many years & never realizing they were right there.
YaY Theo is going to be a ⭐️ cuteness overload!
So special to share your family history and the coronation garments.
AG1 got great coronation publicity!
This is such a special channel! Ya'll have worked so hard and have included us every step of the way. I got just as excited as Julie about the Robes and Coronet, while to Luke it was old dress up as a child. So endearing and special, thank you for sharing!
I got a good chuckle out of Luke calling the missing coronet piece a “fleur de lis” knowing full well Julie would never have made that mistake 😂
It’s hilarious that those historical items were stored in black bags!😂 Thank goodness they can be repaired and displayed.
Thanks for all the hard work you two do to bring these videos to your followers!
The horsies running around frolicking was the best part, the looked so happy to be in a grassy field
Grassy and new
Her excitement is contagious! I love discovering all these treasures with them. They are so cute together, i am so happy i found their channel.
Hello from a Great Brit living in Ontario California 😀
Oh goodness! Julie needs to inspect all the chests for more wonderful treasures.
I would have looked in all those places upon first entering 😍
Awww! ❤ I just love little Theo! He's so adorable 🥰! I'm so glad you found the robe and coronets!!!! So exciting! Julie, I would have been so ecstatic just like you if I would have found them!!!!!! It's so special and not every day items you just find on your house!!!! Please keep these items ALWAYS on display for when tours are done!!!!! A large display case would be wonderful to store/protect them in!!!! Great job Julie and Luke! Claire did is so sweet with little Theo!!!
The coronation display should be inside a glass case where dust and odor cannot rest upon them. They are kept in trunks to keep them from fading as well. Perhaps some kind of special preservation glass should be used.
What an exciting treasure trove, Luke and Julie. I can't help feeling saddened that the aristocracy will be wearing ordinary clothes for this coronation. The ponies look very much at home now, as do all of your livestock 😊❤
I agree I wish King Charles hadn't changed the coronation so much. I'm 53 and have never seen a Coronation so I was quite disappointed that they changed so much. I was looking forward to seeing Tiaras and robes being worn. I just hope that Prince William has his coronation in the next 10 or 15 yrs as I think he would be a better King.
After following your channel since Lockdown, we really enjoyed our visit to Mapperton and house tour a couple of weeks ago, great to see the coronation robes during our visit and now to see the back story of the discovery😊 - Also you do the best ham and mustard sandwiches in the coach house.
Hi Mike! What a wonderful comment to read - you have made me smile!!! xx Julie
Also luke, its a strawberry leaf, fleur de lis are resevred for royal coronets and crowns, garrad in london would be the best people to attach a new one, they could also bend the silver balls back into place and even add new gilting as well! Just a recommendation
Oh my Gosh!!! Julie I was crying from Arizona when you found the treasures!!!! Robes Coronets! AHHHH! SO VERY COOL!
Please be careful with the antique lace. It is most probably handmade. The bonnet and neckpiece look from an earlier time than Alberta. There was lacemaking in England and other countries early on. They may be wonderful representations of lacemaking in the area. I studied lacemaking in England and elsewhere in Europe. You might want to have them looked at. Hopefully they are a wonderful piece of early family history.
What a wonderful way to work with all your animals because you believe in them spending their lives naturally in your farms and orchards . Theo is a sweet boy thanks for helping him .
Wow..please preserve these historical pieces! Next project for Julie!!
love Theo!
Theo is so precious! Thank you for sharing as always
I love the idea of featuring an animal.I hope Theo is well and happy.I never never comment but I truly enjoy all the videos from lives to visiting other homes and Italy.❤️👍
Theo is so precious. I simply cannot wait to follow up on this beautiful little guy. What a great idea. I am loving your channel ❤️
Theo is so cute! I’m glad he’s being taken care of.
I live in Iowa and I love The Royal family! I will be up at 4 AM Saturday with STRONG coffee and later…Mimosas! I am so excited that you and Luke found the Coronation coronets and robes! I love everything British and hopefully we will be traveling to England next year! Kudos on your wonderful discovery! By the way I’m loving little Theo! What a precious little guy! Would love to watch him grow!💜
As an American I would also be FREAKING out with glee!!! I LOVE HISTORY and I would feel like I was living in a dream on that estate and finding old things is so exciting to me! Congrats I could feel your joy!
As an American I was just as excited as Julie to see the robes.
But Theo stole the show! Sorry Julie 😂
Great episode!!!
YES! Please follow the animals throughout their lives.
I'm so jealous !!! I would have LOVED going through those beautiful old chests for historic treasures !!! How fun !!! 💖😍💖😂
You may have already considered this idea but at Mt. Vernon President Washington's home they breed rarer breeds of sheep ,pigs, ect. on the estate to sale to other historic properties in the U.S. to reinstate and educate about what would have been there not as in a rewilding capacity but same principles
It is Absolutely Fantastic that you found the Coronation Robes.
Please preserve and display these items!
Wear it for your commentary at the Coronation 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Theo is adorable! ❤
In true aristocratic fashion the coronation robes are just dumped higgledy piggledy in a random coffer; the coronet a trifle bent out of shape. Love it.
I'm as excited as you are, you must get them on display as soon as possible.
I love the chemistry of you two.😊
I don't know how I found this channel, but I'm so happy that I did.How wonderful that you just go in one of the rooms and find All kinds of treasures
Those horses are So Joyful!!! Spectacular!!! Thanks @ Luke and Julie!!!! 😁🫂
Go Theo! Very excited to watch Theo grow and navigate through his sheep life at Mapperton.
Thank you Julie and Luke! I`m as excited as Julie to see the Coronation garments. What a wonderful episode!
Awww, Theo❤❤
SO exciting to find these beautiful robes - to be restoted and then displayed in a huge glass case in the manor or welcome center to fabulouis success !! Terrific. Love the lambs.
I love the idea of keeping up with Theo the lamb 🐑.
Congratulations for finding the historical coronation outfits.😊
I absolutely enjoy watching all of your videos and laughing at your excitement! I would react the same way. Thank you to both of you, Luke and Julie....
Thank you for sharing this marvelous chapter in the life of Mapperton, as said from one ordinary American to an American Viscountess ❤ LOVE the coronation find….and sweet little Theo Three Spots ❤❤❤
So exciting! I am a Brit transplanted to Canada in 1959. Now a very happy Canadian. My soul, however, remains in England. I ❤ your channel and today I am moved to tears by HISTORY! Will be watching the Coronation on Saturday, as I did in 1953 for Elizabeth, at the age of 2. My first memory! Will miss the pomp and ceremony of the lords in their robes. Happy you found those glorious treasures and are displaying them. Have a wonderful and joyous Coronation day!!! 🎉❤🍁
Very beautiful and moving to see the Coronation items, baby Theo, and the majestic horses. Well done!
Just found this channel. I’ve watched the shows on PBS, so glad to find this! How exciting to find all the fabric and vintage clothing! I would be in heaven! And the lambs are so adorable!!
I remember in the Duchess of Marlborough ( Consuelo Vanderbilts) book about her talking about her coronet. I can’t imagine finding that!!! Very exciting!!!
Here is another interesting fact, if you cant make it to mapperton to see these coronets, american viscountess fans will know of this location, Inverary castle in scotland home of the duke and duchess of Argyll has an amazing display with their coronation robes and coronets during their open season!
He is precious! When he put that bonnet on his head…😊❤
I enjoy watching Julie and her adventures around the estate (and in Italy!), but today, TODAY, Luke's piece about new life at Mapperton was absolutely invigorating, touching, and a real glimpse into the next generation of Sandwhich Earls "minding the store" environmentally. Bravo Luke!!! Well done!!! More please!!
It made my heart sing as I watched how joyous the ponies were in the paddock.
How absolutely amazing to find such wonderful robes and coronets. Fascinating. You two are so good and natural on your blogs and Julies excitement is catching, im getting excited with you. All best wishes ❤to you all for Coronation weekend from London.
Hello from Bakersfield California
Julie, I screamed with excitement with you, I have family ties with England but a fellow American so both sides of me lost my mind!
Precious little Theo stole my heart ❤️
I'm rooting for Theo Three Spots! It was fantastic to see the horses so happy running in the field! Best of luck for the Coronation, I am visualizing clear skies above London on Saturday!
what a fabulous episode! the baby animals, the wild horses, and the robes and antique clothing!! just wonderful.
Great to follow Theo. Love it. Also glad you can display the coronet and coronation robes for the coronation, despite the tattered state. Great video. Thank you so much.
I love your humor!
Goodness Me! How exciting to find Coronation robes from decades ago!!
I wanted to see you two in full regalia. 🎉 I’m very disappointed that there won’t be coronets and robes at the coronation and there was such a small invitation list. Surely, there were other ways to cut back on expenses.
I hope I live long enough to see William and Catherine crowned King and Queen and that they put on a show.
I feel like it was less about expenses and more about compromising and making everybody happy. Those that want to see a coronation and like all the pomp and circumstance of a monarchy and those that see it as nothing but a giant tax burden. I‘m not sure they‘re succeeding. No amount of economizing will appeal to the disapproving crowd, but too much economizing will alienate those who like all the traditions connected to royalty…
@@alexk7973 good point. I’m not sure how popular he is in England but I’m a younger Boomer and haven’t liked liked him since I was a child. His only saving grace was Diana and we know how he handled that.
@Nicky L I’m looking forward to William’s coronation.
@Nicky L I hope William’s reign is sooner than later.
This all blew my mind....I am stunned!!! Brilliant!! Thank you for sharing👸👸👸👑👑👑👑
Hello from Canada. I have just discovered your UA-cam channel. I have been fascinated by all things royal my whole life. You are absolutely delightful, I am thoroughly enjoying your description of your life experience of marrying into the British Aristocracy. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Can't believe how beautiful those ponies are!
I love the idea of following the baby lamb-3 spots!
This is absolutely teasing us in the build up to the big day.. Can not wait to c what treasures you have uncovered and stories behind the items xx
I am so happy that you found those historical coronation garments and coronet. I would display them in a glass sealed frame. Also YES feature your animals. ❤😊
I loved seeing the beautiful Coronation items ❤ I’m so glad that you and Luke found them. I’d love to see the restoration process of all of the treasures - please share the process with us!
Yes, Theo will be such a awesome ambassador for Mapperton! Thanks for sharing
That was amazing, from finding the coronation robes, to the lambing, (especially Theo!) and horses for the rewilding project! Julie’s enthusiasm, as always, is so infectious!
My Lord and My Lady, the Coronation Robes can be repaired by Ravenscroft in London and I recommend that you do. These are heirlooms of great historical value! I miss the Robes for the Countess though, apart from the kirtle. Have you found the train as well? Top you have found the Robes and coronets! A very good idea to put them on display, make sure however, they're not constantly exposed to daylight. It fades the colour. The Earls Robe has velvet abd ermine in very good condition by the looks of it.
The missing strawberry leef on the Earl's coronet can also be restored by Ravenscroft. It's notva fleur de lys as on St. Edwards Crown and the Imperial State Crown, but a strawberry leaf. As do the coronets of Margquesses and Dukes have.
Pity His Majesty has forbidden them at the Coronation....
Sadly, I have no use for such knowledge. Nevertheless, I felt a dreamy haze glazing over my eyes as I read this. I'd so love to see this _Ravenscroft_ place, and see how they restore treasure... 🥰
@@thekingsdaughter4233 an unrelated but interesting fact; Thurl Ravenscroft was the voice of the Ghost Host in Disney's Haunted Mansion (and the baritone singing "Grim Grinning Ghosts") and I think the voice of Tony the Tiger for the cereal commericals. Thurl...... sounds like a name you give a tall hulking kid.
I ❤Theo and Julie's enthousiasme!
A lovely video, thanks utube 😊😊
Hello from Daytona Beach, Flordia!
Love this episode! Luke is a scream trying on the bonnets. Speaking of screams, Julie’s enthusiasm is so infectious. It made me happy to see how delighted she was, and it was a treat to see the robes. What a terrific idea to put them on display.
Theo Three Spots is heartbreakingly sweet. It will be so fun to watch him grow up. It was also great to see the ponies with Ben and Chris. Great episode all around. 🥰
I love Julia’s enthusiasm well done for finding the robe. Even if we won’t see many at the coronation at least we’ve seen a genuine robe and the coronets. A bit disappointed that the coronet wasn’t sparkly..no jewels. Beautiful little lambs
Theo already has my heart! ❤ We just lost our Theo, a 20 year old orange tabby cat, in March. 🐈
That was so wonderful, finding the coronation robes. The have been allowed, finally, at the last minute and I am sorry your father and mother will not be attending with your father in his robes. Still, it is wonderful to see that piece of history!
So Excited to Follow Little Theo's
Life Journey.🥰
Great Choice Luke.‼️
