The November 2015 show in New York at Webster Hall started late, so they had to cut out Valhalla from the encore. Audience members sang the entire song as they were leaving the stage and clearing it.
The fact that a crowd of that size was able to reach that level of volume and clarity is HIGHLY impressive. These guys should be very proud of this following. Congrats.
+sugoruyo Hehe, I see what you did there :) Very true though... even us, newish followers. +Joe Jackson If this (also see "Valhalla" crowd response from same show) doesn't make a band immortal, I don't know what does.
I was in their concert in Istanbul 2 years ago. the memories of the concert is fading away from my mind, but the bard's songs will remain, their songs will echo through eternity
Been watching this for a while, but it just dawned on me that it was uploaded in 2006. No wonder there's such a lack of phones out in the crowd. Would've absolutely loved to be there at the time
I love how meta this song is... in a good way, I mean. "... the bard's song will remain", indeed. A song about the immortality of music and the power of a tale that's been immortalized and empowered by the listeners themselves. Just epic. It must feel like you're a god on that stage when this happens.
This is incredible, first time i see this kind of connection between the artist and the crowd, this is really fantastic performance to witness. Crowd: Bard's Song! Bard's Song! Bard's Song! Bard's Song! Hansi Kürsch (vocalist) : You'll get what you ask for! (Guitarist begins to play melody of Bard's Song) Crowd: Instantly starts clapping rhythmically. Sings the rest of the song together. Perfectly.
I've seen a tons of show, but I swear to God, this is the most awesome crowd ever ! What a feeling it must be for a band to play your song in front of an awesome crowd such as this one !
I have never before, in ANY concert, seen such a coordinated, unified audience....they sung long and hard, loud and proud, together with and for their singer! and they did it so well too!! Clearly this band is TRUELY something special...the last few years i only knew two songs. Battlefield and Scalds And Shadows...... this, as well as a few others i tried in this concert, just.......wow......Where has this unified beauty BEEN all my life?? Not even Lamb Of GOD concerts match up to this! I honestly feel ashamed.....All the countless varying types of music i listen to, medieval included, but never listened to this band.......Forgive me, Guardians.....I guess I'm just now starting the trials....

Awesome.

When the audience takes over your song...you know you've been immortalized
In none of the 4 BG shows I've been to, did the crowd let Hansi sing this on his own.
Lesser bands sing for the audience. Blind Guardian audiences sing for the band.

should watch Valhalla from same concert its funny cuz they wont stop singing.
You realize you've made a masterpiece, when the crowd sings it louder than you...
Petar Petrunov You know you've made it when the entire audience sings along :D

This is the best fucking audience ever.
i thought the same (just discovered blind guardian). no other audience would rule such "complicated" melody.
I've saw them live back in September, and Hansi has such perfect control over the crowd. Hansi is god, I don't care what anyone else says.
and it´s not a one of time that the crowd is as good as this.
it´s like that like everytime the play this song live...
