Hey can you go over how you took the wordpress landing page and integrated it into Sharetribe GO?
Hey Jordan great question! It wasn’t a full integration. I was using the wordpress page to gather leads form the form and then did a redirect after the form was completed.

I prefer apps, APIs, etc. These proprietary platforms seem more robust than softr. Just wondering if you can import data via spreadsheet.
Hey Mike, great question! You can definitely do that in Sharetribe Flex, but I’d look into if Sharetribe Go offers that via a Zapier integration or something like that.

Trying to escape from wordpress to something more modern and more visually appealing. although I'm impressed (disappointed) by all the available platforms' average designs! I'm noticing the gap in the market is even wider than I thought!!!

is there no platform that can just copy or have similar UI like fiverr? That seems to be the best UI I've seen in a multi-vendor marketplace.
It's possible but I would prob go with sharetribe flex for custom UI. Hope that helps take care!

For an idea, I would go with softer to validate your idea. If you have customers etc. I would go with sharetribe.

Thoughts on Airdev? It came up when looking for sample websites for Sharetribe and claiming to have more and better options for lower cost than sharetribe too. Reviews seem high for them too but whats your opinion on it?
it depends. Yes lower price but the learning curve is very steep as well. Dpeends your time to get to market and if you have the time to go into the bubble ecosystem and go that route. I know a lot bubble developers that like to use it but to be efficient building you're looking at 6-8 months for a marketplace
Hey Doc! Thanks for your videos. We are in the process of building up a nonprofit marketplace for connecting funders, potential founders and ideas. Do you have any suggestions? (this is directed at a specific community, where the need for this platform is confirmed. We do have one major user on each end)
Hey great question! Sounds great! This depends on your team and how you plan to scale. In general I'm a fan of Sharetribe becasue you can start with Go and move to Flex later if you need custom onboarding and features.
If I'm still in beta and my functionality is limited My Marketplace Builder is a good solution.
I usually have a process if there is a limited amount of users so they don't see or get access to the entire platform at first but that's more on the implementation side of building the marketplace.

Scale: we will start in a very focused / narrow area, and then potentially expand to topic areas around the first MVP, afterwards potentially evolving the whole community. Does this help?
Also, we will have a limited amount of users first. Regarding the features: Communication is important, it being a multisided platform, and a reversed marketplace. Uncertain as to which features should be focused on based on our area (nonprofit, matching funders with interesting projects / ideas and talent)

Hey thanks so much for reaching out! If you're just getting started I would be looking at Sharetribe Flex of My marketplacebuilder to begin I would not use Sharetribe Flex at this time.
Also this depends on your budget and if you're testing your idea or if you have customers already.

do either of them allow for setting up subscription payments for sellers? For example, I want to charge a monthly seller tiers but also want to adjust the commission based on the payment tier. Is this possible with either or only with sharetribe flex?
Great question! That sounds like a feature for sharetribe flex. You could do some workarounds with embedding options and using direct stripe links but I think it would be better suited for sharetribe flex

I am trying to build a marketplace where people can post their yardsales and sell yardsale items online through my platform. I'm not sure between MyMarketplaceBuilder and ShareTribe. I saw the video, but with the specific issue of it being both service and sales channel, I'm not sure what would work best. Thanks!

This really depends on the exact functionality you need and also your current skill level.
In general I would go with Sharetribe because how easy it is to get started and if you need more advance features you can shift over to Shraetribe flex later if needed.

Great question! Depends on the functionality you're looking for and the platform you're using. If you're starting with Softr you can use their marketplace template and connect airtable or google sheets

It is possible with both options.
I’m not sure I would either one if I would be creating a marketplace for digital products though.
Depends how you want the relationship with buyers and sellers but for digital I’ve seen it successfully done with teachable and podia.

Hey great question! As far as I know, you cannot add a search bar that allows you to search your listings found in sharetribe.

do either allow tipalti or stripe integration or I have to use their payments integration giving them % + monthly fee?
I would check there pricing pages for details but I know Sharetribe allows you to use stripe integration. I don't think Sharetribe takes a % of each transaction.
@@docwilliams thank you I just got off a consult meeting with my marketplace Builder they have a monthly fee and that's it where I share tribe does take a percent which increases with sales. My marketplace Builder uses stripe.
@@theworldisastage3425 glad you had a great consulting meeting! Just quick clarification after talking to Sharetribe. Most plans don't take a transaction fee. Here's some more details from the Sharetribe-
Apart from the subscription fee, there is no transaction fee/ percentage commissions for using Sharetribe Go.
Flex also includes a free transaction volume of $30,000 per month. However, for any additional transaction volume, you initially pay a 1% fee. As your monthly volume goes up, the fee percentage goes down.
$100k -> 0.8%
$250k -> 0.7%
$500k -> 0.6%
$1M -> 0.5%
$5M -> 0.4%
$10M -> 0.3%
As an example, if in your marketplace, $50,000 worth of transactions happens in a given month, you'd be charged $569 ($369 + $200 as the 1% of the additional $20,000 transaction volume). If $1M happen, you'd be charged $5219 (0.5% x $0.97M + $369).
