have been listening to his music non stop since I heard the news of his passing, this is the first song I had heard him sing so back here again RIP Justin. You were the best
Man this guy got me through my fathers death and my grandfathers after that. When I finally got to know him he was everything I could have ever hoped. JTE touched a lot of lives. He’ll live on in our hearts.
ethan mccarthy I know he’s a very good alt blues country singer and the son of the legend of Steve Earle no one will ever make his kind of sound ever His music will always LIVE ON
This song is so evocative of his exhaustion and sadness of being on the road. I pray that he heals and gets back his vigor and love of life while he takes some time off. We love you Justin!!
Rest in peace, Justin. You'll always be one of my favorite artists, and this little short featuring this song has always been one of the things that helped me relate to your music so much.
what a great song writer, learned from some of the best in the bizz! i hope u n townes n blaze are pickin away in a better place!! r.i.p. u surely will be missed...
I've seen this Amy character referenced in a lot of comments about Justin people that know who she is have opted not to share it with me out of respect I understand that. I can only assume that it was a woman in Justin's life
@Kyleeee1 The tuning is standard. He has the capo on the 5th fret....but he often plays with the capo at 4. And aside from that, the chords he's mostly using are G and C and F. With an occasional diminished chord. Transcribing it would be kinda weird because it's not musically complex. The complexity comes from the strum. I learned it by watching this video. Try watching him perform it like 100x. You'll get it....although you may tire of the song at that point.
@Nigganechi Good point. Except when he's feeling low about life, he writes a beautiful song. And when you're feeling low, you whine on the internet. Oh what a difference talent makes.
@undeadunliving Not to mention that he grew up poor with an absent, drug addicted dad. People assume JTE had all the advantages as Steve's son, but Steve didn't make it until Justin was about 5, and within a few years Steve had blown his career and was homeless. He recovered, but damage done. That said, I do think JTE needs to take responsibility for his own actions at this point, especially with regard to booze and drugs. I read his twitter feed occasionally, and he does like to whine.
Look like he's playing a silvertone h621 maybe an h641 but I don't think he would get the all-birch model. Justin had the coolest guitars man he also had an H165 that was refinished by Scott Baxendale... R!P JTE
Does anyone not see the word tramp in the beginning because my wife swears it's a blank damn screen and I think she thinks I'm calling her a tramp cause I read that shit out loud and I rewound it and she swears she don't see it, what in the fuck is going on, help me Rhonda

Tod Brewster slippin and sliding and ain’t waiting by Justin Townes Earle are my favourites
Rip this song breaks me.
I'm not a violent guy by any means, but good god the three people that down-voted this need a good slap in the mouth.

Just an excellent film of my fave "artiste" of the last 3 years. A full hour documentary

Justin & Amy- should meet and make beautiful music together- love them both
I've seen this Amy character referenced in a lot of comments about Justin people that know who she is have opted not to share it with me out of respect I understand that.
I can only assume that it was a woman in Justin's life
I think the Amy reference is “Amy Winehouse” !? Another inimitable, beautiful Artist!
Yes- both vulnerable creative & greatness aplenty
amazing...
Rest in peace my friend:😥
R.I.P
Missing you so bad
That's a harmony silvertone. Probably made in the 50s or 60s. Rebuilt by a guy named Scott Baxendale
Must learn this guitar style

Great song, love to learn it. Does anyone know the chords he's playing, can't make them out?
wow!
Very charismatic.
I've had a kind spirit fold my 🧦 socks, and leave them neatly on the end of my bed.
GOAT
I like the cigarette smoke and empty beer bottle in the back ground
Wow 😲
Im the 201 person to thumbs up this.

Love his tats.

And I'm losin' patience with my only friend, five years ago
It would be a mistake to just say someone's dead. There are spirit's who stay in the real 🌎 they refuse to leave their home. The only home they know.
One person is not slippin and slidin
Lady & the Tramp
what kind of camera did you use?
Take her easy, dude.
Manish boy?
wassup with all the nut shots
how the fuck does he move his fingers like that
Does anyone not see the word tramp in the beginning because my wife swears it's a blank damn screen and I think she thinks I'm calling her a tramp cause I read that shit out loud and I rewound it and she swears she don't see it, what in the fuck is going on, help me Rhonda

Here I hope y'all ain't divorced by now because of this very difference of opinions 😉..but yes, it's definitely there!
Those who keep their hands folded on their desktops generally don't amount to much.
yeah...smiley face? pretty sure he is referring to drugs and alcohol as his "little comfort"
My wrist looksvlike your wrist 😢
note to self: bourbon = stitches or jail....
Only in America would it make sense to associate gardening with guns! 🤔😂
It'cheap as s*** it should be. 😂
@1977mv Yeah, he must have a real hard life compared to us normal workin' folk.
The same one, left a piece of candy on the bathroom sick for me. Sweet 🧁.
