Happy to see this one being put back on the road. I think that there has to be a time when the scrapping of cheap old 90s Fords has to stop even if they require some welding. The Fiestas, Escorts and Mondeos were everywhere and now they are a rare sight.
Nice job , I know these jobs are probably very simple to the general mechanics and people who tinker but I don’t so this was a great instructional vid as well as I like the fact your getting the old girl back on the road . Far to many would scrap that car but I think that would be a shame with a bit of love and a few quid it’ll run for years I reckon 👍
So happy to hear that you like the film 😊. My aim is to help people do jobs like this so I'm really happy for your comment. I didn't really want to scrap the car and I knew many people would have done straight away it's going to be great to see it on the road again and having hopefully a new owner.
I've got to give the drum brakes on my Mk4 a good clean up before its MOT retest... This video is the best one I've seen on the subject. Thanks for making it!
@@mike_themechanic you're very welcome! What did you do with this sweet little Fiesta in the end? (I admit I haven't checked any of your other videos yet...!)
Nice instruction video. I use glue clamps and a pice of wood on my XR2 front caibers. I still have a problem with my left rear brake, new drums, brake shoes, springsets, rebuild master cylinder front brakes rebuild a few years ago, etc. etc. The only thing I did not replace are the brake lines (no brake force limiters) . . . . did not find a dent/kink in the copper/braided brake lines. Any Idea?

True. Up here in the North of Sweden they were never very popular as volvo and saab we the main brand to choose from.

@@mattbarney3183 I sold it as soon as it was finished. One of my student bought it after seeing what I had done with it
@@mike_themechanic it's a great little car. I hope they're really enjoying it! The little Endura sounds great now the tappets are done too!
@mattbarney3183 yeah I love these small old ford's. I really want to get a ka one day

What's the problem with it? Is it sticking on or not releasing? I'd check the wheel cylinders and that the handbrake cable works to start with.
