With all the crap in the air these days, what a breath of fresh air it is to me to read of a lady, a real lady, who still has the sense of humanity enough to say music still has the ability to move her to tears. I am a man in my late 60's and enjoy that same emotional response to music, and no, I make no apology for it. God bless you, Miss.
Honey, you're emotional because you are listening to music which had a tune, sung by real musicians with real talent(hard work). Enjoy.* I had to, it was difficult to read.
The bee gees is one of the best groups in music history , they have a long list of hits , they made a revolution in the music industry , they once had five hits in top ten of the American chart , try ( staying alive , too much heaven m tragedy , you should be dancing m someone belonging to someone , how can you mend a broken heart , paying the price of love , for whom the bell tolls ) and so many hits .
Love her reaction is priceless. Sweetest smile. Amazing, timeless talent still has this effect on individuals not born yet during its release.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I cried the first few times I heard tge song too!!! Way back in 1977. I was only 11 years old and didn't even know why I was crying. I can't think of a song released in recent years that makes me react like I did with this one.
They span the decades 60's 70's 80's and 90's "Run to me" "I started a joke" "I've got to get a message to you" "Massachusetts" "World" "And the sun will shine" some of their older hits "Staying alive" "Jive talkin'" "Too much heaven" "More than a woman" disco extravaganza "You Win again" "One" "High civilization" "Happy ever after" "Paying the price of love" "Alone" "With my eyes closed" "I will" "Miracles happen" "Irresistible force" some of their 90's work
The twins, Maurice and Robin, and the baby brother Andy. have all past away. Barry, the one with the amazing falsetto is the only one alive. He is going to be 74 on Sept.1st and that is also his 50th Wedding Anniversary with hi wife Linda. He still does concerts and records with his sons and his neice Samantha who was Maurices daughter.
Because this album, Saturday Night Fever, solidified the Disco Era. It was so popular, one deejay said ONE out of TEN households in America had this album. The best selling album of all-time.
Because with the world the way it is and all the haters and all the trials and tribulations of life. This song is about how deep is love! Love ❤️ is going to win in the end I promise you girlfriend.
This was part of Saturday Night Fever, the height of the disco era. I was in college then and even our liveliest disco parties always had to play this song so we could grab our hunnies and slow dance. If you really like Barry Gibb's high falsetto voice plus great harmonies, check out Too Much Heaven. And if you want something more upbeat to get your heart pumping, then listen to Staying Alive and Night Fever. Bee Gees had a bunch of #1 hits back then.
I think those disco lights did set the mood and I actually did enjoy this song, it kinda make you think of that someone tho lol. Thanks Cary, for watching and also for the suggestions
You go right ahead and cry....I'm not ashamed to admit, I do too with some of their music, and this one. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. All my best to you and yours. Peace.
beautiful reaction,,,,,,,,,if you are able to tear up by this song means your soul is awake and you can experience happiness everywhere,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanx and have a good life
Because it's the most beautiful love letter ever written, that's why. This is my most favorite Bee Gees song EVER and I've loved them my whole life! They're masters of the ballad, I challenge ANYONE to find one they've done that ISN'T beautiful.
I always liked this music video because the three brothers are honest in their vocal input in this song. When Barry is singing in the video, he was singing in the recording. When Maurice (thinning hair/beard) was not singing on the recording, and the camera pans past him; his mouth is shut. Interesting Bee Gees fact; Barry's (long thick hair and beard) voice, and Robin's (long curly hair and no beard) voice are nearly identical. In fact in the recording studio, they were the only ones that could tell who's voice was on a tape. All incredible composers, singers, and producers!
Their music touches all who hear it. This is from my generation, I’m 63 today and the memories attached to their music are still fresh in my mind. I get a real kick when you young folks listen and react like we did.
Bee Gees, 60', 70' & 80' a great musicians... All songs are a wonderful. My favourite songs are: Wind of changes, Jave talking, you should be dancing, Stay in live.
Andy did occasionally sing with the BeeGees but only ever as a guest artist sharing the stage with them, never as an actual BeeGee. Pity. All 4 brothers sounded fantastic together. We all know how beautiful the 3 BeeGees hamonized, now add the 4th voice! It was Perfection, but it was never to be.
can you believe back in the day they actually had a party at yankee stadium to burn these records and all disco music, so glad the younger generation are enjoying their songs
@@dreamingmusic7771 back in the day hard rockers were jealous of Disco taking off so well, the called it crap, I personally always loved it so back then it made me uncool
These guys wrote the music as well, they said they only put emotions to music. They didn't try to write hit songs, wrote 1,000+. Had a lot of hits and gave songs to other artists to make hits with. They sang together since childhood, when the twins were 3, their mum thought she was hearing the radio. Born in the UK, grew up in australia, left to further their career.
To wake up one day...AFTER you start making music professionally to learn you AND your brothers can SING LIKE THAT.... to have that GIFT DROPPED ON YOU... and yes....I heard this is a true story...then they created the Soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever and 43 MILLION RECORDS SOLD LATER....
One of the greatest songs ever made by The Bee Gees....this song is from the 1977 classic movie Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta. Great reaction thanks😊
@Dreaming Music, Your reaction to this BeeGees Classic was endearing, you almost had me crying. I grew up listening to all genre's including international artists outside of the U.S. This was a favorite as an African American female, bussed out to White neighborhood school, I shared Motown with classmates and the BeeGees as well . Here is a song from a favorite singer of that time, Angela Bofill, 1978 "This Time I'll Be Sweeter". Please play this one when you revisit a love that got away.
You're right, this song is about how listening to others can put a strain on a relationship and cause a break up... But sometimes not listening to other's can cause even more heartache... Past experience on my part..
This one of my favorite songs of all time...and I loved watching your reaction to hearing it for the first time! This song never ever gets old for me. SO glad you like it!!!
Sadly there is only Barry, the oldest brother that is still alive. He was the "poet" amongst them. They were born in "The Isle of Man" a. Tiny island between England and Ireland, . Sadly missed,
I'm a 52 year old woman and have loved the Bee Gees since the 70s! Yes, they still make me cry too!
Me too! I'm 52 and listening to this song makes me cry too!
I’m not crying! You’re crying!....oh yeah, you already said that. 50 here. Fitty
how about 72 and tears streaming....

Possibly one of the most perfect songs ever written and recorded.
Along with the Eagles- Best of My Love which was the most perfect song ever in my opinion.
A perfect love song sung with perfection
Also came off one of the greatest soundtracks of all time, “Saturday Night Fever”
It makes you want to cry because it’s art .... makes me want to cry to and I’m a 47 year old man 😂
45 year old woman and I remember my mom playing this constantly for what seemed like months on an 8 track player!
Makes me want to cry as well as a 57 year old man.

It's all down to chord progressions and lyrics.
SOOOO glad you younger people are listening to what we grew up with, Hope you enjoy, we sure did!
you emotional hon because, this is when music had a tune, and real musicians and real talent😌enjoy
It definitely touches your soul...I’ve always love them
And it’s romantic which is in short supply these days !
Could not have said it better myself!!
It’s so sad what’s happened to the music industry. No talent or creativity in today’s stuff.
Honey, you're emotional because you are listening to music which had a tune, sung by real musicians with real talent(hard work).

Keep it up👍
Thank you and I enjoyed watching yours as well
Unashamedly romantic and lyrically deep, delivered in beautiful voices...timeless. Their brother Andy should get some love, too.
Barry, the lead, is the last man standing of the Brothers Gibb. All his brothers have passed away. 😪
That’s really sad
This song is really pretty. But IMO "Too Much Heaven" is even prettier. It's all about love baby.
Hel Gar If you’re not in the right mood (or have a headache), the falsettos in Too Much Heaven can be a little too much, though. 😬
@@heatherqualy9143 Ha!. A friend of mine used to say they sounded like chipmunks.

Just think; this was before "auto-tune," so it was just raw, natural talent! Also, I loved your reaction, and look forward to seeing more from you! ☺️

What a wonderful reaction! It's definitely a song that hits you. Makes me emotional every time I hear it.
The BEEGEES were a gift from God, voices from heaven
Even their Vibrato is in perfect harmony 💙💚💙💚💙💚
It makes a lot of us romantics cry, imaging a man saying this (or better yet, singing this) to us. ;)

Once again, you've been sweet dreamy love bombed by the Bee Gees ! ❤🎼
I think part of their magic is that they are singing TO you instead of about you.
I think this song invokes a lot of nostalgia. It makes me feel more like a kid than a romantic partner. That’s a reason it feels so bittersweet.
I was 13 years old when this came out, makes a grown man cry
they are singing the soundtrack of my teenage years. And this takes me all the way back...

The 1976 BEE GEES gave us one of the most beautiful break up songs ever, called, Love So Right.
I saw these guys in concert 100 years ago when I was about 20....Still hold that memory close.
