Been waiting for this video! Always a joy to watch. Man, that pedal drive unit is super loud. Way too grindy, does not sound good. Very costly addition to the board too. the board looks nice - I'm hoping in a few years we see some good options closer to the $400-$600 range of things. I caught a 18" largie on a 1/32 mule jig the other night! That was a battle. Finally switched out my ultralight line for 6lb braid to 4lb leader. It never crossed my mind to do that on UL gear like I do with bass combo - casts MUCH further! I'm waiting for a Doviello BFS reel and rosewood rod to give BFS a bit of test this next week too with some 1/8 spinnerbaits. Thanks for your channel. It's a blast catching panfish on UL gear.
So happy to hear you’re having success with all the ultralight gear, Ken! And yeah the pedal drive is a bit grindy but I was pleased with how it pedaled for the most part. To be honest, I think the Boost fin is going to be more exciting from a SUP propulsion standpoint. I’m hopeful I can get Boost to send me a long range model because that would be much better for fishing applications.
Well I got a similar version already now for around 630$ (Aquatone Puzzle), also no steering rudder but with an included flap pedal drive, which is much quieter and can handle weeds ok enough. Unfortunately it sold out quickly, same as the similar Winmax-Version in the U.S. Bottom line, I understand why pedal drives are considered a game changer, much faster without too much effort, and you have your hands free
That's a pretty slick setup so much I sent the video to my buddy in Utah. Can't argue with leaving the dinks in search of pumpkinseed. After sight fishing Floppy you did end on a high note. I can see you really enjoying this paddle board. Blessings Ethan
How would you characterize the stability of the Mako & the Angler. Could you take steps forward and backward without feeling like it’s going to flip? Did you try to stand on one foot perhaps?
Was shopping for some Mule Fishing stuff on Discount Tackle, and saw they brought over the Tatula XT 2pcs ultra light and light spinning rods. Hopeful that you’ll do a review on those models.
This is random but you should look into biodegradable / non-toxic material for your soft lures! Its such a struggle finding these qualities in micro lures specifically swimbaits!
My lures are non-toxic and they don't expand like traditional plastisol, however the biodegradable is definitely a tricky one. I agree this is the goal.
About 5 mins into the video and I can already say 1 thing, that pedal drive needs some work lol. Hearing that whirring noise 24/7 would drive me insane. Wouldn't surprise me if it helped to alert the fish of your presence too, kind of like a boat motor.
The pedals add cost, but the board is around $800-900. Honestly, I think my favorite setup would just be the Glide Angler 2.0 with a Boost electric fin.
Perhaps you don't need a rudder, Nathan. I also enjoy learning about archaeology and I watch a show on YT called Time Team. In one episode they excavated an ancient boat that had been preserved in muddy soil for over 3000 years. It did not have a rudder so steering was done with the oars. Just think. You are following in the footsteps of those ancient mariners who first braved the open seas to trade and maybe even fish.

The SUP is such a great way to fish. Kayaks are a bit better for true fishing but if you just want to keep things simple, the SUP does great.
Nice video mate!
Thanks!!
Just received my Mule Fishing order, man I love everything. Thanks so much, great video!
Thanks so much Jakub!
That's s neat paddle board setup. I'm glad to see someone out fishing because Lord knows it's been way too hot down here for me to venture out.
It’s starting to cool down here in Michigan!
I've been fishing all summer in Texas!
Great video looks like it perfect for you on that trip
Fun rig! Thanks Ray!

Dude I didn’t even see that! They are out of stock now but I guarantee you I’ll be trying that rod.
I agree with everyone else the noise would drive me crazy maybe there’s someway to grease it
I’ll mess with it and see what I can figure out. The noise didn’t really bother me tbh but I heard it more when editing the video.
Can’t imagine the grinding noise of the pedal system is pleasant for the fish
Yeah it is a bit grindy - will see if I can grease it a bit.
Fun content
Thanks Devon!
How was that seat? I bought two of their Angler Paddle boards last year and thinking about buying those seats for them.
It is great, but if I am being honest, I prefer to just go without a seat more often than not. If you prefer a seat, this is a great option.

@@FishAnything glad to hear they are non toxic! Do they float too or no?
does it leak air over time? and do you think this is sturdy enough for bay inshore fishing on the coast?
Caught a 9 inch bluegill while canoe fishing yesterday 👀
That is awesome - nice work!

It’s a little grindy sounding but it functions well. I’ll try to play with it and grease it a bit to see if it helps.
How much is that thing? I need to order something like that

You should really try do use some fly fishing lures on your ultra light suck as wolly buggers
One of these days I will bust out the fly rod again. Thanks for the suggestion!
What lake is this ?
Makes a lot of noise while peddling
Yeah it’s got a bit of a grindy sound but it functioned well so I enjoyed it.
