Merry Christmas Brendon! I just got a copy of Great White's Hooked (My first time listening to them); LOVED the bluesy hard rock - thanks for the introduction to another amazing band!
Digipacks and cardboard covers just lower the value of albums with cover deterioration, edgewear and scuffs, CD ringwear, CD surface scratching. A jewel case last forever.
Nope. Japanese resealable plastic sleeves keep them like new, and discs can be kept in windowed paper sleeves to avoid scratches in cardboard sleeves. Jewel cases are extremely bulky and space hogging.
@@chrisknowlton9460 a lot more faff having to open /close resealable bags on digipacks/card sleeves. Plastic sleeves are perfect for vinyl records - but so unnecessary in cd format. Pointless format imo
Merry Christmas, Brendon. One new cd that haven't heard you mention that is a MUST HAVE, imo for what it's worth lol. Dewolff-Muscle Shoals; can't take it out of cd player.
THX for calling out that Mighty Lemon Drops album. Didn’t realize Wounded Bird released their stuff. I’ll definitely be giving that a spin. Merry Christmas, Brendon!
Great find on the Mighty Lemon Drops. The Wounded Bird of their 'Laughter' is one I want; what a fantastic album! Wounded Bird put out a limited number of their releases and many/or all are out of print and real collector's items/ie pricey. You really need to get the Primitives who are as good today as they were in 1985 when they started in the C-86 noise pop era & The Blondie Brigade groups with female singers (Tracy Tracy is still so stylish). Morrissey was a giant fan. James were a great band compared to The Smiths but I like them better; 'Laid', Sometimes, Sit Down, Crash, Fred Astaire are key tracks to sample!
Try checking out primal scream great British band more edgy than britpop but with stone roses the originals riot city blues is a banger great show happy Christmas all 🏴🤟🍺👍🏼
I bought myself a "few" things this Xmas. Highlights(?) - Hendrix ELECTRIC LADYLAND box. Tull reissue of the STAND UP box (My Oct pre-order of the Tull Christmas box is delayed until early 2025) The Butts Band 2-fer. Wanted this for years. Finally affordable. I'm I have a tradition of gifting myself some Mingus material...so, INCARNATION & the recent release (same 1960 sessions) REINCARNATION.
Yes I’ve got that one too. I’ve been a big fan of Ripper Owens since his days in Priest and have been collecting each and every project he sings for. I love his voice.
5:35 As I said on the music store video when you bought that Stone Roses compilation. You need the two studio albums. But that compilation is then great to ‘complete’ your Stone Roses collection because it includes early non-album singles and B sides. It was definitely worth getting. If you have the two studio albums and then that compilation, you have everything essential from them and about 99% of what they recorded and released.
Brendon might also reply but he has a video called “Music Collection Tour - Music On Display” where he shows the items on top of the shelves, it was a Kix fan club thing from what I remember, its like a coin jar I believe.
You must have missed the last couple weeks because I’ve added one or 2 new Better Than Ezra albums each week. They’re excellent. And I’ve got Dishwalla too.
Great video Brendon! Keep up the great work!!!
Same here, Brendon! I love jewel cases so much that I have only bought six digipaks over the last 19 years, if memory serves.

@@chrisknowlton9460 Yes, when you put records into this foil once and never put it away anymore.

I love jewel cases too. Unfortunately they seem to be few and far between more every year.
I got the new BEASTO BLANCO KINETICA, I love it !

Some amazing finds! I'm going to check a lot of these out. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Roll to Me good. Freshmen by Verve Pipe, good.
80s Oz albums Fire In The Brain and III Warning are killer.

My haul was 14 cds...also, MUSCLE OF LOVE...the recent reissue.
I wish i sold bookshelves
Beyond Fear is great have you got the solo by his name called Play My Game i think it's called.

Out of curiosity, what's that Kix thing in the background (upper left side)?

@ Aahh... thanks.
I learned that you can zoom in on UA-cam. I recently zoomed in to get a closer look at Brendan’s boxed sets. Hahahahhaahaha
@@MatthewSwanson-f5vThen zoom in on the channel name to spell his name correctly...
@ I tried zooming in but I still couldn't make out what it was :D
Joe Lynn Turner live is good, but he would has very good solo material without Rainbow or Purple songs to show..🌠🎄
The jewelcase thing...yes I totally get it, I'm exactly the same. Enjoy your Christmas 🎅
Don't know why but I always confused Del Amitri with De La Soul.
How about some Dishwalla? Better Than Ezra ?
You must have missed the last couple weeks because I’ve added one or 2 new Better Than Ezra albums each week. They’re excellent. And I’ve got Dishwalla too.
@BrendonSnyder I had Deluxe by BTE, and I started getting some of their other albums. Shame on me for not paying attention.
