    I love how you are always proping, experimenting and improving your plants! I'm always learning from you!

      Thanks Molly. I'm always learning too! It's pretty neat how you can manipulate a plant to grow in a certain way and make more plants from the ones you have.

    Wow that fiddle leaf fig leaf is HUUUGE!! I don’t have any tree-like plants, just succulents and vining plants, but all your big pot plants got me wanting a statement piece for my apartment! Thanks for sharing :)

      Thanks Hanna! If I were to choose just one statement plant, it would be the birds of paradise!

      @@EverythingPlants oooh a bird of paradise would totally fit my apartment aesthetic! I’ve never seen them as indoor plants, only outdoors (and man do they get big) but I’ll have to keep my eye out for indoor/potted ones!

      @@EverythingPlants of course! I love my Liquid Gold 😉 The top cutting has started to put out roots, but I think I'm only getting one branch on the mother plant 🤭

    Your FLF has some of the biggest leaves I've ever seen on one! What's the other one called, Ficus Melanie? Seems like you're going to have enough cuttings for a nice bushy tree, unless you plan on having several individual ones? I'm interested to see how the leaves grow back on the FLF though. Nice job! Thanks for sharing the process.🙏

    • @EverythingPlants
      @EverythingPlants  2 роки тому

      I hope to get them even larger lol
      The other one is a ficus melany....it is a smaller leaf variety

    Can you prune a fig leaf plant more than once a year? Mine plant is one single stem. It looks terrible. Thank you.

    Do you need to prune it just in spring ?

    • @EverythingPlants
      @EverythingPlants  2 роки тому

      I've pruned it year round. If you are pruning to get it to branch out then it might be slow or no growth at all until spring.

      @@EverythingPlants Haha, I figured. Once I noticed it I was able to tune it out. Some really good information in your video.
      Have you tried such brutal propagation in the past? Like just a tiny piece of stem left, cutting the top of the cutting as well?
