Remington knives by Camillus are great!! I'm a huge fan, and have a small collection I buy for and sell out of. Super fun knives. Thanks for the video! This is the kind of stuff that makes me love knives
Thanks for giving us a look at these, and for the great slides! I also liked the upland pattern in that pamphlet, I've been a bird hunter my whole life and have never seen a knife with a choke wrench on it before. Cheers!
Hello Tobias. 3 very nice tools. Loved the music for the slide show. By the way since your witch video i have started to get back into figure painting. So thanks for the push. Lol. All the best.
Thanks, they are popping up on eBay at the moment. So many people calling them rare and vintage. Vintage? Maybe. Rare. Not really but still, not somethign you see every day.
Wow those are beautiful knives right there. Never had a camp knife the closest I’ve ever had to one which wasn’t even close at all was a boy scout knife that was a pair of pliers with a knife blade and a can opener and a saw blade on it.
Another fantastic video Tobias, fun, informative and just pleasant to watch & listen. I can also vouch for the R1273 Guide Bullet Knife. It's a 5.25" two bladed (4" spear-like spey blade and a smaller pen) and only going for about 30 bucks now. However don't forget to pay your production staff first, and on time next time.
I carried that little R5 Lock back for a long time when I was in my 20s it held up very well for seeing daily service for several years. I still have it and it is still serviceable. I think they were a good value for the time they were produced. I have the waterfowl knife from one of the years it was produced. It looks new but I never carried it in the field.
Very cool, I have my eye on the Remington Boyscout Knife box set that comes with a print and certificate etc. the price seems fair at just under $40. I love scout knives in general. Thanks for the reviews, some really nice ones there 👍
Nice camp knives. I had the Gentleman's knife years ago, but broke the tip stupidly using it for something it wasn't intended for. I'll have to check out the camp knives.
I like those knives and those are fine examples. Thanks for showing them! I’m not familiar with any vintage R4s with saws but then again I’m not familiar with cats with two different color eyes either!
@@KnifeChatswithTobias I have been trying to remember exactly how I got it and I think I pieced it back together. I bought an R3 and I think there was a promotion to get the R4 if you sent in proof of purchase of the R3 to Remington. That's about the only way I think that I would have received the knife directly from Remington. I still have the R3 as well, and the packing slip for the R4.
There brand new I just picked one up about a month ago man I love mine!!!!!! Do you have the sheath mine came with the most beautiful high quality knife!!!!!! Yes sir
Early next month my R4243 jumbo camper will arrive in my Camp/Scout/Army knife collection, I currently have 5, it's going to be my first american made knife, you see, I'm from Europe, I got mine for $46, though with $22 shipping, which was expected. I'm also very interested in a R3843, but those are currently more expensive, but I believe I will buy that one before I buy one from Boker, because those are soo expensive, even new ones.
As far as I know they are Delrin. I do know there were some "Silver Bullet" knives that had sterling silver bullet shields. I'm not sure if these had an upgraded bone handle or not.
I never understood the corkscrew.. Even in Victorinox knives... Who the hell would ever need a corkscrew... That blade could be used for anything else but a corkscrew... If you can afford corked wine bottle, than you are not using a CAMP KNIFE... ILMFAO... people are just over hyping their lives.. Trying to be all manley, but your not manly if you're depending on the pocket corkscrew if you ate opening up wine in the woods... Lol 😂😅
Man I love them knives!!!!! Thanks for showing them Tobias

Very nice knives Tobias! The production staff got a little uppity and needed some attention! Thanks for sharing!!

Great review!! Thanks for showing the paperwork, so we can get an idea of what is out there for us to hunt down:)
Thanks for the review, I'm a big fan of these older patterns. Glad to see some are coming back!
Interesting knives, camp knives are among my favorites. Thanks for the look!
Super cool, never seen any remington camp knives before, so I really appreciate you showing them to us!

The R4 is my camp knife pattern user. For the record, it fits perfectly in a $5 Case Hobo sheath. 👍
Nice Remington knives. I've owned a few Remington rifles, and shotguns, but never had a Remington knife. Kitty was funny adding her two cents in.
Really liked the video and the information on the Camillus made Remington Camp knives. Sounded like the production crew was hungry.

Really nice selection you've chosen to show us today. Thanks!
The only camp knives I remember from my youth were either Richards shell knives or SAK. The choice wasn’t huge here!

wow, I never knew -having only seen them on pictures in the usual places - how massive these are, especially the third one. Good to know.

They sure look bigly classicy
Some could adverbs/adjectives to describe them.
I have a Remington stockman but it’s an import These are awesome thanks for showing them to us

Love the punch on that bullet camp knife.
It's a big one. That's for sure!

I have that Camp bullet knife. It’s a beast.
I never paid much attention to camp knives before but now i might have to get one. I think kitty might be a bit of a copy cat lol.
Nice video sir. I've been trying to find a video of these knives. I had one as a kid in the early 90's.
My favorite pattern. What kid didn’t lust after one while reading the latest Boy’s Life? You’ve got some truly beautiful examples.

Footnote a couple years in. I have an R4 that Remington shipped to me on January 4th 1994 so they presumably went back to at least 1993.
Thanks for the additional info. Always nice to learn a little more!

Beautiful knifes, thank you for sharing

Tobias, I like the R-4 but the Jumpo does look great.
Good video. Good review. Nice looking knives. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
Great video! Love remingtons.

I have my BSA knife, but it's in bad shape. I like camp knives. Victorinox makes great knives and have been carrying one for a while.
Hard to argue with a SAK!
Funtional beauties, thanks again.😊
What's the music you play during the slide show? Very pretty.
I collect knives and I have an old tomcat too.😊
Good... At least it's understood
Thanks for dropping by!
Hey Tobis what make and model is that swing guard you have in the beginning? Thanks!
I certainly enjoyed the video, but I don't think that your Production Manager did.
She was fine after a few kibbles!
On the R4 that's not a sheepsfoot, it's a coping blade.
I assume made of SS. 440 A or C?
I'd bet 440a. These are about 40 years old.
I'm not sure about handle material.

@@KnifeChatswithTobias I'm sure your right about them being Delrin. I was trying to say I prefer stag or bone over delrin.
❤😊😊😊C00l
Thanks

Your lack of understanding and imagination is not my problem. I get the corkscrew. 😂😂
