      I was thinking she should have her own cooking show on the Food Network. Everything she does is easy to make or follow and turns out great. (In this day and age I can’t say anything about her personality or charisma without feeling like a sexist, but she’s fun to watch and listen to)

    Was scrolling thru X /Twitter and short comes on titled "5 ways to make fried rice". Looked so good decided to make one for my family. But then said to self, "you know what? I'm going to go check Natasha's Kitchen first". Sure enough found this video. Came out fabulous. I have my go to channels for Asian, Italian, Mexican etc. but I've found over time that Natasha does better research than I and her recipes most always come out the best to where (acid test) my family actually likes it and comments how good, asking to "put it on the rotation". Definitely my ultimate "go to" channel for recipes. Thanks you guys 👍

    One of my favourites but rice is a no-no now that I’m diabetic so I just substitute cauliflower rice for the long grain rice and hey presto, low carb chicken fried rice.

    • @Natashaskitchen

      Great idea! Thank you for sharing that with me.

    • @QamomQ
      @QamomQ 5 років тому

      Norman Richardson carrots are really high sugar. And peas are starchy. Turn to sugar quickly.
      I’m a diabetic on keto so could do with cauliflower rice, coconut aminos instead of soy sauce (and much more healthy and delicious). I just need to sub in maybe asparagus tips for peas and baby Brussels or mushrooms for carrots. Or other low glycemic veg.

    • @normanrichardson144
      @normanrichardson144 5 років тому

      @@QamomQ You’re correct but I’m not on Keto, just low carb.

    • @QamomQ
      @QamomQ 5 років тому

      Norman Richardson I understand. Which is why I delineated that I am on keto.
      I was just mentioning, as a health coach for diabetics, many diabetics don’t realize carrots raise blood sugar and peas can too because they are a starchy carb. What sets your sugar off is highly individual. Everyone needs to test after each meal to see which foods are not your friend.

    I made this for my husband's dinner this evening. He thought it was pretty good but the rice was mushy instead of stiff and crunchy. Pretty sure that was on me. I made my rice yesterday and it was cold but I made "instant rice"." I'm guessing I cooked it too long and also left it in the liquid too long. Will definitely make this again but won't use instant rice. -- Just love you Natasha

    I make a very similar fried rice for my kids. It truly is quite quick. The variance in mine is that I cook the rice in chicken stock so it has more flavour. Then I also add chopped button mushrooms and finely diced garlic (kids love it), with the chicken. I saute with butter rather than oil and I don't use soy sauce as my kid has an intolerance to M.S.G. The taste is really awesome.

    Instead of spring onion I added buttery mushrooms. It was unbelievably great. I never thought I could like rice with scrambled eggs. I do now. Also the sesame oil became our favourite ingredient for rice. Thank you so much Natasha.
