I think most of the business owners in the show are very much aware that the exposure they get by being in a TV production is worth going along with Nathan's antics. I think both contain a lot of meta commentary about their respective genres and media as a whole.
The Eric Andre show is way more revealing in my opinion because people who come on his show are used to be filmed and the character they have construct for the cameras is totally broke by Eric. It shows to me that the ones who doesn't know the Eric Andre persona are totally lost and the real them behind the character they have made up for the cameras start to show up and to me that's more real, it says and shows more about the human than people who knows Zach Galifianakis and act with him or the people on Nathan's show that keeps in the back of their head "don't look stupid there is a camera filming you be careful".

Are we getting a video of the rehersal??
You main point in this video is that Nathan undresses people really well and lets the audience see their true nature. While I agree with that, I would like to hear you talk more about "why is doing that important" and "is it morally ok for him to do that when he hurts so many people".
This is fascinating. That last episode Finding Francis was the single best episode I've ever seen. Of any show
It was incredible!
Hey there Mr Nerdwriter, this is my first time commenting on one of your vids. Never have I seen a promo for a show that intrueged me this much. Ive never seen Nathan for you but I can imagine there being far more comedic parts to put in this vid. The parts you showed are the parts that (amongst other things) show Mr Nathan highlighting the fragility of his personality. Just watching this video made me feel more human and acceptant of other people and myself. Absolutely beautiful. Your timing in editing and the subjectmatter are very very strong. Will be watching Nathan for you. Thank you very much.
The best way to wake up is from a Nerdwriter notification!
One reason I love The Nerdwriter is that every now and again Evan makes a video about something I had never heard of before and it spurs me on to check out something cool. This show sounds fascinating, like something Charlie Kaufman might be into.
Clicked on this immediately cause this is about one of my FAVORITE shows
And it's criminally underrated
I can’t believe I just found it a week ago.
I’ve never laughed so hard at a show legitimately.
I hope he still doing it.
Also love On Your Side.
The MP3 one is one of the funniest skits I’ve ever seen.
I replay it over and over .
He is a comedic legend
Please do something on Shyamalan's Unbreakable. You said yourself that you were almost cast in that movie.
He was? Wow. Do you have a link to where he said that?
It was from that Q&A video he did from 2 years ago. Not in the actual video, but down in the comments.
sifat shams did he say what part he was nearly cast as?
Yeah, Joseph Dunn, the son.
What a cool piece of trivia
love this show and I love that people is talking about it, specially if the ones talking are my favorite youtube creators. As much as I want nathan for you to triumph it has to remain a bit underground to work. If everyone knows the kind of show that nathan is making then the results wouldn't be natural
How many people plan on watching Nathan For You because of this video?...***Raises Hand***...
last good show on comedy central, and probably its greatest ever.
It's so fucking hilarious
Vad3r are they still doing new episodes?
no
Mark Colvin Jr. yeah they need to pay up because I’ve never heard of this show but I’m going to watch it now!
can't get enough of this show, i've seen it like 5 times
My yt "Recommended" section couldn't wait to show me this.
His show about the small electronics store was hands down the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. The payoff with the psychiatrist was an absolute master stroke.
can we take a moment to appreciate that Nathan didn't use his genius and manipulative abilities to take over the world?
Easily one of those most clever and awkward shows out there. Nathan and the team are geniuses.
