I let him live. He is a reasonable man besides, he did all of this to open/build a new place for witchers to be united again, tired of being alone (as we see in witcher 3 when he tries to fake his own death) and I can imagine how it went for Letho. If Letho refused Emhyr's offer he would probably have died. In the end he was just another tool for Nilfgaard but still, Geralt was once a tool too. He saved Geralt many times alltough he kinda framed him but that was Geralts own fault. Geralt was licking Foltest's ass(no offense). Im not trying to say letho is right but he isnt 100% wrong.
Not just a tool, he also wanted to leave a trace for whoever could foresee on the Nilfgaardian Conspiracy/future invasion; with Sile De Tansarville's involvement, hence he kept the role of the bad-guy killing off Northern Kings.

Yennefer is not that bad imo and I actually romanced her during my first playthrough. But I got so fed up when she kept treating Geralt as if he intentionally cheated her and kept being passive aggressive. I could even deal with her treating Geralt like shit because I understand it’s kinda how they dance but I draw the line at being repeatedly implied a cheater when Geralt didn’t even have memories of himself. In my second playthrough I rejected her. I also didn’t romance Triss cuz she’s too manipulative for my Geralt. Single dad Geralt ftw ✌️
Frankly, I don't even remember Yen pestering me about Triss. Maybe she said something once, but it must've been so small a thing I didn't even remember. Of course it may also be that I usually just ignored her attempts to get a rise out of me.
This is why I love the witchers story, In the biggining letho my seem like your typical evil guy(Do to his looks) but when you dwellve deeper you find a very intresting character. First he alwyes helped you in the game(Even freeing up triss in the end if you don't do this). You see that gereld and him are basiclly the same and in my opinion gerelt will also done the same things as letho if his school vs in danger. So I didn't see any point in killing him, in fect i symphfise with him. This is why I love the witcher's story because its not a black and white story, its very deep.
I disagree, what about his motto of choosing neither evil? Maybe if it were ciri, but reviving a school by killing people that (maybe some) didn't deserve it or didn't affect him?

The build up music during this confrontation is so great that I hate not fighting him. Makes the end feel a tad abrupt. I kinda wished you were forced into the fight then after you decide if you finish him off or let him lick his wounds
thats a fair point, recently finished a second playthrough after a good few years and this time I've decided to spare him. ultimately I think its a better choice but there's not a lot of satisfaction factor afterwards
José Juan Moreno Sánchez I chose Roche, saved Anais and let Letho live. Anyways if you chose to save Anais first, Triss is still going to get saved and obviously she lives
It's such a well thought-out plan and narration. As I said before: Letho is a very interesting character and not the typical "villain" you have. It's even an old friend that does something that by accident causes you trouble. You going to upload the epilogue part as well, xLetalis?
It's no accident, it's calculated scheming and self-serving. He could have run in the North if he wanted, that's not what he wants. He wanted revival of the witchers, where most kids die extremely painful deaths and very few survive the mutation process. Also, he started world war 3 and genocide in the north by killing the biggest targets. He is an evil man and it's absolutely dangerous to let him go.
"Let me walk away and you will never see me again. Force me to fight, and this time I will kill you." - LETHO How could he knew destiny would never accomplish none of this prophecies.
There’s something about the Witcher 2’s aesthetic that I greatly prefer over the Witcher 3’s. The Witcher 3 is the better looking game from a technical standpoint, and it’s animations are better, but the visual style of the Witcher 2 was so sharp. It felt very distinct, and made it more satisfying to look at somehow.
Best Ending ever... especially that depending on that, you can have a couple of additional quests for TW3. Also it shows Witchers don't care about human politics, and go their own way on The Path, maintaining balance between sentient beings & wild beasts.
Yeah, i bought 1 and 2 on the last winter sale for just under 3 eurobucks! Enjoyed the first quite a bit i must say (the further it got the better) and contrary to many comments i enjoyed the RPG combat mini game. Still didn't finish the second but it was already worth my money!
I killed him, his constant chest puffing about how he could kill me reeked of an arrogant, patronising punk. I’m no cuck, subordinate. That’s the main reason I humbled his ass. The other reason is because despite him owing Geralt a little, he’s still a despicable person. Killed kings, innocent people, countless deaths as a result of his actions. Not to mention he’s the reason mages and non-humans are getting hunted in the W3. One Witcher less wont harm the world, but getting rid of this one will help it. He’s already proven he’ll do absolutely anything if it gets him what he wants.
Crazy Cletus You’re right about Geralt, but there’s no mention anywhere of Letho’s age. But in my opinion the only reason Letho won the first time is because Geralt had amnesia. He didn’t remember all his training and experience. It’s even proven if you chose to fight at the end. Geralt wouldn’t go from getting whooped, to being superior when he didn’t train. So he slowly recovered from amnesia as the game progressed. Being completely healed in W3. TLDR; Geralt only lost the first time because of his amnesia, which prevented him from utilising all his skill, experience, and memories. Which is why Letho lost in the end should you chose to fight again.
In my first ending I killed letho because he threatened that "force me to fight and this time I will kill you"........ Killed him just because of that statement.... And when I finished game again this time I listened to him and let him live cuz I realised that I want to slay many kings too....and not for coin or anything..... Just because of their bad behavior
I’m still split on having killed letho. On one hand, he let his comrades die and killed tons of innocents, and it was always for a selfish reason. I don’t totally blame him for what happened to the sorceresses, it was their own hubris and stupidity that brought them down. But doing it for Nilfgaard, of all things though, and taking pride in the mess he made? Despicable. On the other hand, he was GENUINELY loyal to geralt, taking care of yen even though she is awful and then sparing geralts life. He always spoke to geralt with respect and is clearly FAR more intelligent than he lets on. He has been solid enough with geralt that it becomes something of a conflict of interest. Yes, he deserves to die. But is it right for GERALT to kill him? That’s what I was unsure of. Ultimately, I made the decision like how I play the game, whenever I come across a decision, I recall that a Witcher is made to kill monsters. And letho most certainly was a monster, so I killed him. Yes, geralt owed him, but you don’t cut deals with a devil, and moreover, letho in reality was just paying back his OWN debts to the Witcher.
People in the comments section are saying that Letho got backstabbed by Emhyr in Witcher 3, but that's technically not true. The reason Emhyr turned on Letho is because technically, Letho's end of the bargain didn't pan out. What Geralt said at 17:45 turned out to be 100% right. Instead of leaving the North as a "whorehouse on fire;" in other words, easy pickings for Nilfgaard during the Third War, it all became united under Radovid's rule in Witcher 3. In other words, even though Letho pulled off everything he needed to do to make the plan work, the mission failed in the end. The North was under a united front, which is the exact opposite of what Emhyr wanted for the war. Indeed, it's possible for the North to win in two out of three outcomes regarding the Third War's end. Letho simply just didn't carry out his end of the bargain. He failed his contract, which was to weaken and destabilize the North, not merely to kill kings and vilify sorceresses. Contractually speaking, Emhyr owed Letho nothing after all was said and done. Now, to be fair, the factor that screwed Letho over was not his fault. Nobody could've predicted that Radovid would unite the North the way he did; both Emhyr AND the Lodge underestimated him, as Phillipa Eilhart discovered firsthand and paid the price for it. The whole thing was a gamble in the first place, and it didn't work out for Emhyr. At that point, Letho was just a liability to Emhyr, which is why the Witcher went on the run. It just goes to show how ruthless Emhyr is. Screw things up for him even slightly, and that's the end of you.

The Witcher 1 Choices I made: - I stopped the Scoiatal from getting the weapons. - I stopped the killing of the Scoital in the Gravayard and saved the civilians. - I helped the leader of the Scoiatal contacting Vivaldi. - I helped the Scoiatal get into the ruins. - I stopped the Scoiatal from robbing Vivaldis Bank. - I killed Gramps the Cannibal, because I don't trust him and because of the Archespores, as evidence of his guilt. - I saved Thaler from the plot against him. - I spared Barengar and even saved him from Azar Javed. - I didn't get involved in the conflict in the swamp between The Order and the Scoiatal. - I gave Alvin to Triss, after all she can protect Alvin better then Shani (Or so I thought). - I spared Vincent the Werewolf and cured him from his Licantrophy. - I didn't sell out Coleman, to be a spy for the City Guards. - I din't kill Ramsmeat. - I saved Zoltan from the Racists. - I slept with every Woman possible. - I didn't get involved in the conflict between the Scoiatal and The Order in Murky Waters. - I accomplished a truce between the Vodyanoid and the Humans in the Swamp and in Murky Waters. - I saved Abbygail from the angry Mob in The Outskirts. - I killed the Grand Master of The Flaming Rose personally. - I spared both Jaevin and Sigfried in the Battle of the City of Vizima. - I became a Poker Legend. - I've beaten Zdenek in the Swamps of Chapter V. - I remained neutral and didn't get involved in the war in Vizima (Again The Order and the Scoiatal). - I've spared Princess Adda and lifted the Curse of the Strigga from her, once more. The Witcher 2 Choices I made: - I spared Aryan Lavalette. - I helped Aryan Lavalette escape the Prison. - I drank the strange Potion that Geralt should test. - I've beaten Zdenek once more. - I spared the Troll that was guarding and mentaining the bridge. - I handed Ioveth over the Vernon Roche. - I smashed Triss in the Bath House. - I killed the City Commander of Flotsam. - I left Flotsam with Vernon. - I smashed Ves in the Blue Stripes Camp. - I've beaten Vernon in a Fistfight. - I spared the Troll couple that was living in the mountains and didn't kill the aggresive Troll, because he was just teritorial. - I spared King Henselt, to save Vernon from himself. - I freed Triss and left Vernon to save Anais himself. - I left Sile in the Megascope to die because after all Sile, Deathmold & Phillipa are the true enemies. - I spared the Dragon even though I couldn't free him from the Lodge's influence. After all I spared Adda too. - I spared Letho, because he helped me several times in the past and Witchers don't exist in high numbers. What choices did you make thorughtout your playthroughs?
Letho is a badass fighter, and a trustworth friend to Geralt. He never tried to end Geralt's life when he had the chance even after his viper mates were killed by Geralt. How could Geralt be so cold blood to kill another witcher like himself, who tried his best to took care of his soul mate and avoided to end his life again and again?
From my point of view, Witcher2 story line is better than 3, much more darker. 3 is a bit like fairy tales, but 3 is undoubtedly the best end for Geralt. And, love your video. It makes me want to play through the entire Witcher games one more time.

I love letho's voice acting.
me2
Me too, he is just an awesome character.
¿Saving your kind or bring chaos to the entire world? I don't know, that is pretty good option to kill him.
@@City-Hunter He could have run if he wanted, that's not what he wants. He wanted revival of the witchers, where most kids die extremely painful deaths and very few survive the mutation process. Also, he started world war 3 and genocide in the north by killing the biggest targets. He is an evil man and it's absolutely dangerous to let him go.

Yeah I'm asking you what is 100% wrong?
Imagine a corruptor said to you that his wife and children got coma and need a lot of money for medical aid. Will you pardon him?
On the other hand, a lot of children die hungry because of him.
Letho does deserve his own game. Hes fucking amazing
I'm glad that they had a whole section at the end just for answering questions. So much dialogue.
So Yennefer tried to seduce another man yet later gets mad at Geralt because he fell for Triss.
She had better reasons!
@@xLetalis No, she didn't. Geralt had lost his memory. That's as best excuse as there is.
@@shanalkhullar7 Didn't she also lose her memory?
Letho is the Riddick of Witchers.
Archie The Dog and Geralt is the John wick lol
@Joseph Waters a murderous asshat
Loved that ladybug scene
I've never understood what it's supposed to mean.
The ladybug scene is one of the most emotional touching scenes I've ever encountered in a video game or movie. Totally love the moment when the main theme of the music starts playing.
Me too
@@Zw285 Lady bugs are a sign of good luck, bringing good fortune and prosperity along with it. As the insect leads a vibrant and colorful life, it influences you to experience the joys of living to the fullest.
Chris Nguyen
So then what’s the logic in having in appear whether you let Letha live or kill him ? Wouldn’t it make more sense to only have that charming lady bug scene only if you choose to let letho live?
Letho outsmarted every one.
One of the best characters. 👌
The build up music during this confrontation is so great that I hate not fighting him. Makes the end feel a tad abrupt. I kinda wished you were forced into the fight then after you decide if you finish him off or let him lick his wounds
But think about his self esteem
doesn't feel like build up music to me, more like "lay all cards out on the table" theme, in which case it's more awkward to fight him
thats a fair point, recently finished a second playthrough after a good few years and this time I've decided to spare him. ultimately I think its a better choice but there's not a lot of satisfaction factor afterwards
I choosed Rouche, saved Triss and let Letho live. I know, very predictible...
I choose Iorveth, saved Triss but killed Letho. :D
Iorveth, Saskia, Letho lives ;D
Choose Letho, save Roche and kill Triss c:
Mr. Fahrenheit you can’t kill Triss that means that she wouldn’t even show up in the Witcher 3 game
José Juan Moreno Sánchez I chose Roche, saved Anais and let Letho live. Anyways if you chose to save Anais first, Triss is still going to get saved and obviously she lives
Geralt and Letho are the best fighting machines. Real friends.

I think this version of Geralt is my favorite.
Best Ending ever... especially that depending on that, you can have a couple of additional quests for TW3. Also it shows Witchers don't care about human politics, and go their own way on The Path, maintaining balance between sentient beings & wild beasts.

Yen truly is an awful person tbh

Oh, so we are playing gwent)
If I had the game I'd let Letho live. I respect his reasons. Besides, his badassness gets to me lol.
Michael Zarate witcher 1 and 2 for 6 euros on G2A but i don't know how is it in america
Letho would have big problems with emhyr.
Letho is one of my favorite characters in all the Witcher universe. I always go Roche, Triss, spare Letho
I probably prefer Saskia/Iorveth's path... tho I like Roche's as well
In my first ending I killed letho because he threatened that "force me to fight and this time I will kill you"........ Killed him just because of that statement.... And when I finished game again this time I listened to him and let him live cuz I realised that I want to slay many kings too....and not for coin or anything..... Just because of their bad behavior
Do i hear radvoid?
omg me too :0
One of the greatest conversations ever.
Just finished the game for the first time yersteday and let him live. Loved this game
I really prefer this game's atmosphere and story to TW3's.
Let Letho live and recruited him later 'cause he's a Bro.
Geralt is more handsome in witcher 3 in spite of being old
He's basically the same age
3 months older
@@rubenrodwell2255 No, about 8-10 months
I love this I watched it atleast 6 times.
Geralt: why didn't you tell me
Letho: you're a sussy baka
Geralt: Wraiths cannot be killed only driven away
Also Geralt: I have killed many of the wraiths!
Damn Geralt who are you Gaunter O' Dimm
Letho is such a badass and a really compelling villian (easily the best of the series)
0:52 "So... Ready to lay your cards out on the table?"

Was so glad he reappeared in Witcher 3 after I spared him
This was uploaded on my birthday
I could never bring myself to kill him I just loved his character way too much
Honestly, I only spared him because I was playing on Dark and the first encounter already took me more than an hour, so...
What choices did I make in The Witcher Series from 1 to 2?
The Witcher 1 Choices I made:
- I stopped the Scoiatal from getting the weapons.
- I killed Gramps the Cannibal, because I don't trust him and because
of the Archespores, as evidence of his guilt.
The Witcher 2 Choices I made:
- I spared Aryan Lavalette.
- I spared the Troll couple that was living in the mountains
and didn't kill the aggresive Troll, because he was just teritorial.
Man, I just stumbled upon this old video, but jeez that title. Geralt LETS Letho Live.
Let's learn this lesson already... :D
hm I'm actually surprised, I normally don't do these kinds of errors :)
This music plus this conversation🔥
i chose to fight letho cause im still pissed for taking more than 1 hour to defeat him from our first fight
18:44 damn you can tell Geralt is a swordsman slim, and looks wiry to the bone.. compared to the big hulk Letho
Wonder if there could ever be a spinoff where you play as Letho, he's such a cool character 😅
he took care of Yennefer.
nuff said.
18:41 that awkward half wave seeya later thing lmao
I thought it was the “dont worry dont worry ill keep my parents away”
Letho is a badass fighter, and a trustworth friend to Geralt. He never tried to end Geralt's life when he had the chance even after his viper mates were killed by Geralt. How could Geralt be so cold blood to kill another witcher like himself, who tried his best to took care of his soul mate and avoided to end his life again and again?
From my point of view, Witcher2 story line is better than 3, much more darker. 3 is a bit like fairy tales, but 3 is undoubtedly the best end for Geralt.
And, love your video. It makes me want to play through the entire Witcher games one more time.
Letho is bad ass, If you don't kill him you'll get a quest in witcher 3 with him😂
Its funny that sparing Tansarville has more of an impact on TW3 than sparing King Henselt of Kaedwen. Of the two Id have preferred to see Henselt. He's a fun character.
I am excited about few things in life, Women and Letalis Witcher 2 videos are among the top contenders, though.
They both have 2 things in common, I can't get enough.
Finished Witcher 3 Ng+ and then i will do dlc Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone and then i will play the witcher 1 and 2 and then i will play the witcher 3 again what do you think people is it good idea
Yes. Bought 1 and 2 last winter sale for under 3 eurobucks and enjoyed it (to my surprise even the combat in the first. It gets better when you level up). Also played 3 first.
DO IT DO IT :P
Pg TrAxX Thanks man for your opinion
Read the books aswell
@Linus Eretein fuck up spook
Geralt of Rivia are you gonna read the books too? I mean I got all the books and now I understand all the references and the story so much better
Witcher 2 best
Gotta give it to Letho, I do like the idea of reviving Witcher schools.
"Hmm farewell Geralt" that last tone of letho sounds really amusing, like he shows he is not an enemy to him and never wants too.. it sounds a very friendly tone lack of a villaineous... That's why I spared him too , atlast withers should help eachother in the way😂
Objectively the best Witcher game
I spared him good thing i did too given he helped defend the base i was in from attack.
We need a game from Letho or his DLC.
0:50 first thing that comes to my mind is So, ready to lay out your cards and play a round of gwent?"
If they put Letho in the Witcher series they should have him be played by Randy Corture
Who are the two Viper Witcher’s Letho mentioned other than the two assassins? Could they be both Kolgrim and Warritt the All-Seeing ! “The ones that were introduced in Gwent WCG” That would be mind blowing 😧🔥
With all said and done, they all just wanted what a ruler could ever dreamed of
Peace......
Did Letho honestly believed Emyr would keep his end of the bargain?
I guess so
@@xLetalis You would think after being a Witcher and being treated like shit for it.
You would realize how the "world works".
Either that or he REALLY wanted to rebuild back his school.
@@Nor1998_ that's a fair point
Emyr is an emperor. You don't say no to people like that anyway.
Letho isn't an idiot. Emhyr almost certainly told him something along the lines of "Accept this too good to be true offer or you and your fellow Vipers will be executed." "Die now or die later." Letho took the only chance he and the Vipers had. Maybe as he carried out the work he started to hope, delude himself, considering the desperate position he and his people are in, close to extinction. Emhyr is a monster who preys on people's hope and desires, desperation.
Yeah, not gonna lie. I let him live too. Glad I did actually, considering how much help he was in W3.
Damn, Letho came out from the school of the gains
Geralt:you‘re an asshole, did you know what you just did?
Letho:ye ik,what now?
Geralt:guess i‘ll let you live but if we meet....
Letho:whatever bye
*they meet in Witcher 3*
Geralt:aight can you just stay in Kaer Morhen and help me fight the Wild Hunt
Letho:aight cool
Thus Letho became guardian of Kaer Morhen after Vesemir died
Letho the only witcher remaining at khear mohean now. (Depending on choices)
I let him live. He repeatedly said that he doesn't want to fight and he never had any problems with me. Considering that he was also manipulated by the Emyhr himself, there was no point in killing him.
glad i chose this ending now.
I fought this guy but let him live after defeating him...and that's a good decision because he lend me his strenghth at Kaer Morhen
Letho: Time to show your cards
Geralt: Pulls out his Northern Realms
Letho: Pulls out his Nilfgaardian deck
Dandillion: It was the day my friend Geralt of Riva had his greatest duel
hehe
Letho looks exactly as he does in Witcher 3
Witcher 4: *THE* assasin of kings
The kingslayer is a better name
I had to look up what a poleyn was. It's knee armor. Letho is saying the northern kings barely come up to Emhyr's knees.
I let letho live because I was too weak to beat him.
a fair reason ;]
@nomad jensen bruh,if you have right equipment then it's child's play but if you didn't get the finest armors and stuff then you will be fucked in this fight :D believe me,i tried
I think the boss fights in Witcher 2 (Dragon,Letho and Dethmold) are so much better than the boss fights in Witcher 3.Boss fights in Witcher 3 is just dodging, cast aard, mouse button 1 nothing more.
I choose Iorveth, saved Saskia and let him live plus saved Sile then made Ciri as Emperor, the North and the Lodge had it coming to my knowledge deserved what they themselves sowed. I also recruited him and Rouche to Kaer Morhen.
well done
